Col. Alexander Vindman and CNN senior global affairs analyst Bianna Golodryga, labelling those who adamantly challenged the government’s draconian measures as “schmucks.” The Hollywood star went on, “There are still people that live in denial. There are still people that don’t believe in...

The World Health Organization (WHO) on Tuesday (Apr 18) warned the COVID-19 pandemic was still volatile, saying there could be further trouble before the virus settles into a predictable pattern. In the last 28 days, more than 23,000 deaths and three million new cases have been reported to the WHO, in the context of much-reduced testing. While the numbers are decreasing, "that's still a lot of people dying and that's still a lot of people getting sick", WHO emergencies director Michael Ryan told a press conference. "We don't turn off a pandemic switch," said Ryan.

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) is back on the Hill after a lengthy hospital stay to treat clinical depression. What started as a few weeks' stay turned into weeks with reports that the Pennsylvania Democrat wouldn’t be released until mid-April. Fetterman’s doctors were reportedly trying to figure out his medication. As soon as that news broke, the former Braddock mayor was discharged on March 31. We’re glad that the senator is doing better with his mental health issues, but it doesn’t mitigate the cognitive ones impacting his ability to do his job. Mr. Fetterman suffered a severe stroke in April of...

Gov. Gavin Newsom and several California legislative leaders on Tuesday promised to protect medication abortion in California, but it’s not clear how the state will move if the United States Supreme Court decides to limit the availability of Mifepristone by stripping its FDA approval. "I believe in the rule of law, the other side doesn’t," Newsom told reporters when asked if he would comply with however the court decides. Advertisement The governor provided no new information in Tuesday’s news conference on how exactly the state plans to protect access to the pill. He and state lawmakers referenced 17 bills that...

Homebuyers with good credit scores will soon encounter a costly surprise: a new federal rule forcing them to pay higher mortgage rates and fees to subsidize people with riskier credit ratings who are also in the market to buy houses. Lenders and real estate agents say the changes will frustrate homebuyers with high credit scores and homeowners seeking to refinance because the rule punishes them for their relatively strong financial positions. “The changes do not make sense. Penalizing borrowers with larger down payments and credit scores will not go over well,” Ian Wright, a senior loan officer at Bay Equity...

Take the last proper turn through a winding, manicured neighborhood and it's easy to spot what is out of place here. Among the glow of sconces and soft white lamps dotting the dark streets, the home with a purple light in the second-story window demands to be noticed. The hue gives off an almost youthful, playful vibe -- if it didn't represent such sadness. Matthew Mangine Jr's favorite color was purple. The beauty of any mess is its proof of life, and Matthew's room reflected the depth of his. The room, bathed in purple light, is now a time capsule...

VIDEOFirst off, the "Just Stop Oil" protestor who ruined a table with a packet of dye at the Snooker World Championship is named Edred Whittingham so just the name itself is a tipoff that this clown is a spoiled brat. Yeah, all these spoiled trust fund protestors with nothing better to do richly deserve to be mocked and that is just what British comedian Andrew Lawrence does in a very comedic droll manner.

A new federal Biden rule will force homebuyers with good credit scores to pay higher mortgage rates and fees so they can subsidize people with riskier credit ratings who want to buy a home. It’s wealth redistribution and will be a disaster since risky homebuyers usually default. The feds will also temporarily ignore lenders’ debt-to-income ratio. It determines if homebuyers can afford to pay their mortgages each month. The fees are allegedly minimal for now, but you know how that goes. The fee changes will go into effect May 1 as part of the Federal Housing Finance Agency’s push for...

Actor Charlton Heston and director Richard Fleischer didn’t agree on everything. In the early ‘70s, however, they found common ground with the idea that overpopulation was a serious threat to the future of humanity. The resulting film, Soylent Green, was one of the first ecological dystopian horror movies. It still packs something of a punch too, since key elements of the argument remain in our current debate. Set in an environment so trashed that it’s more or less impossible to be a decent human, Heston plays a corrupt NYPD cop who’s fortunate enough to share a tiny apartment with his...

The nation's leading industry group representing U.S. beef producers blasted Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams after he announced an effort earlier this week to push plant-based meals. The National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA), which represents cattlemen and affiliate organizations across all 50 states, accused Adams of misleading on the carbon footprint and emissions profile of the American meat industry. The group noted that beef cattle represent a small fraction of nationwide emissions. "It’s easy for Mayor Adams to lob attacks at beef, anything that makes for better headlines than ‘Meet NYC’s Rat Czar,’ but the reality is that...

We’ve already gotten our “OOF” moment of the day and it took place at a House hearing when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene responded to Rep. Eric Swalwell’s criticism of Republicans over various issues of national security and law enforcement. Just after that moment, it’s as if the entire hearing hit a brick wall. One of the most heated and never-ending debates in America is that of gun control. Opponents of gun control cite the Second Amendment of the Constitution as the final word to end all discussion, whereas proponents of increased gun control scream really loud. It's all so confusing! To help you understand why putting new gun control laws in effect will make you and your family safer, The Babylon Bee has compiled this helpful list.1. There were no guns in the Bible: If God thought guns would keep you safe, He would have created them a long time ago and written about...

A short time back, our editor-in-chief said that there had been a school shooting in Nashville, and asked if anyone would cover it. I wrote the first story about it for PJ Media. It wasn’t the first time I had ever written about human tragedy or cruelty. And I have hated doing it every time. I always feel like Judas collecting his 30 pieces of silver from someone else’s suffering. Be that as it may, the Nashville shooting mattered, and not just because it gave the Left more talking points about the evils of gun ownership. After all, if we...
