Explanation: Relativity's Terran 1 Rocket is mostly 3D-printed. It burns a cryogenic rocket fuel composed of liquid methane and liquid oxygen (methalox). In this close-up of a Terran 1 launch on the night of March 22 from Cape Canaveral, icy chunks fall through the stunning frame as intense blue exhaust streams from its nine Aeon 1 engines. In a largely successful flight the inovative rocket achieved main engine cutoff and stage separation but fell short of orbit after an anomaly at the beginning of its second stage flight. Of course this Terran 1 rocket was never intended to travel to...

Don Lemon is reportedly having a meltdown over a Variety story that accuses him of repeated sexism and anti-women behavior. And according to Insider, Lemon is “apoplectic” and has consulted attorneys about a lawsuit against Variety. Sources told Insider: “It’s another sh*t show. “Everyone knows the a.m. show is a problem. “His behavior has hurt the show since it launched. “The stench won’t go away. “Variety is the latest example of that. I assume he’d be out.” “Chris Licht is standing behind him. “The alternative is paying him out and paying somebody else. It’s not worth it. “Unless this turns...

DeSantis led Trump as recently as January, but the trend since is against the Governor. Donald Trump continues to stretch his lead over Ron DeSantis in the Lone Star State. A survey conducted between March 30 and April 2 by CWS Research and commissioned by the Defend Texas Liberty PAC finds the former President is supported by more than half of those surveyed, with more than double the support of the Florida Governor, who still is his nearest competition. Fifty-two percent of the 1,067 likely voters in the 2024 Republican Primary say they back Trump, with just 20% claiming to...

Don’t Let Them Memory-Hole This On a video podcast the other day, I made reference to the lockdown orders of March 2020. The host turned off the recording. He said it was fine to talk about this subject but from now on please refer to “the events of March 2020” with no specifics. Otherwise, it will be taken down by YouTube and Facebook. He needs those platforms for reach, and reach is necessary for his business model. I complied, but I was spooked. Are we really now in the position that talking about what happened to us is verboten on...

The measure states that any person or entity that damages, destroys or removes a monument or memorial located on publicly owned property may be subject to civil liability, where they may be required up to three times the actual or compensatory damages. The bill also says that if a memorial or monument is relocated, “it must be relocated to a site of similar prominence, honor, visibility and access” within the same county or city of where it was originally located. There have been more than two dozen Confederate memorials removed in Florida since 2015, according to a 2022 report from...

Montreal Canadiens forward Denis Gurianov will not partake in warmups for Pride Night after choosing not to wear a themed jersey, the team announced on Thursday. The decision is related to family reasons, per Canadiens head coach Martin St. Louis. The Canadiens will be wearing a Pride-themed warmup jersey. “I haven’t walked a day in (Gurianov’s) shoes,” St. Louis said when asked if he was disappointed that the Canadiens didn’t have full participation from the entire room. “I know one thing…you should always try to protect your family. So I have a tough time judging that.”

ALBANY — Facing an unexpected firestorm of opposition from environmentalists, Gov. Kathy Hochul on Wednesday removed from budget negotiations a proposal to ease the rules regarding methane emissions in future years. “That’s a fair way to put it. It’s not that we won’t be taking up the matter,” said Doreen Harris, president and CEO of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority. She and state Environmental Conservation Commissioner Basil Seggos have been the point people for Hochul on climate issues. They both agreed, under questioning by reporters on Wednesday, that the methane proposal would be revisited after the...

The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) announced Wednesday that it’s increasing the maximum term for a mortgage modification to 40 years or 480 months. The previous term limit was 30 years or 360 months. The federal agency suggested the move would protect borrowers against default if they had lower monthly payments. The new regulation aims to help homeowners retain their homes after defaulting by allowing mortgagees to further reduce the borrower's monthly payment, since the outstanding balance would be spread over a longer time frame. The change will align FHA with modifications available to borrowers with mortgages backed by the Federal...

The World Health Organization chief pressed China on Thursday (Apr 6) to share its information about the origins of COVID-19, saying that until that happened all hypotheses remained on the table, more than three years after the virus first emerged . "Without full access to the information that China has, you cannot say this or that," said Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in response to a question about the virus' origins. "All hypotheses are on the table. That's WHO's position and that's why we have been asking China to be cooperative on this." "If they would do that then we will...

The White House on Thursday released its review of President Biden's fumbled withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021, dropping the long-awaited report days before the Easter holiday while former President Donald Trump's indictment dominates headlines. In a 12-page outline, Biden officials defend the president's decision to withdraw, calling his decision to end the two decades-long war "the right thing for the country." The report does not appear to acknowledge any mistakes made by Biden. However, the document repeatedly criticizes the Trump administration for constraining the conditions of American evacuation, during which 13 American soldiers died in a suicide bombing while protecting...
