Benjamin Carson High School of Medicine and Science will be renamed after a poll that revealed 80% of the 1,500 people polled agreed the name should be changed. Dr. Carson told The National Desk he is not surprised by the move. “Cancel culture is alive and well. It’s infiltrating. President Joe Biden is “encouraged” by a lame duck proposal from Sens. Thom Tillis (R-NC) and Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) that gives amnesty to millions of illegal aliens and expands the number of foreign workers in the United States labor market. As Breitbart News reported, Tillis and Sinema have proposed a plan that would give amnesty to at least two million illegal aliens — those enrolled and eligible for former President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) — and bring hundreds of thousands more foreign workers into the labor market via changes to employment-based green cards.

Ayn Rand referred to the business and political masters (and clueless destroyers) of the economy as ‘looters.’ ... One guesses that Ayn Rand, author of the 1957 dystopian novel “Atlas Shrugged,” wouldn’t be surprised by our government-business partnerships and moral crusades. Sam Bankman-Fried would fit perfectly as a character in an “Atlas Shrugged” sequel. In Rand’s novel, a do-good industrialist collaborating with political managers of the economy opines, “It’s generally conceded that the free economy is now on trial. Unless it proves its social value and assumes its social responsibilities, the people won’t stand for it. If it doesn’t develop...

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is tightening her grip on press and public access to 911 scanners in a sweeping censorship move, sparking outrage from members of the city's press corps. "The city's plan will impact our ability to provide timely, accurate and potentially life-saving news to you," a group of outlets said of the alleged censorship. William Kelly, an area reporter whose press credentials were yanked earlier this year by Lightfoot, shared his disdain for the ban Wednesday on "Fox & Friends" where he slammed its "Orwellian" implications. "This is not only censorship, this is malicious censorship," he told Steve...

The Biden administration is planning to send Ukraine advanced electronic equipment that converts unguided aerial munitions into “smart bombs” that can target Russian military positions with a high degree of accuracy, according to senior U.S. officials familiar with the matter. The kits incorporate global positioning devices for precision and can be bolted onto a variety of weapons, creating what the Pentagon calls a Joint Direct Attack Munition, or JDAM. The U.S. military has used the technology on bombs weighing up to 2,000 pounds, usually incorporating it with bomber aircraft and fighter jets. It was not immediately clear whether President Biden...

No matter how much Democrats and the Biden administration might be hoping for it, the Tara Reade story isn’t going away. The woman who served as an aide in Biden’s Senate office in the early 1990s caused a crisis in then-candidate Joe Biden’s campaign when she went public with the explosive allegation that he had sexually assaulted her in a Capitol hallway in 1993. It was the most serious in a string of accusations against Biden by women speaking out in the election year, and one Democrats had no doubt hoped would disappear after the votes were counted. But it...
