Despite predictions of a red tsunami that would wipe out Democrat officeholders nationwide, the election shaped up to be one big, confusing mess, leaving pundits on both sides of the political aisle wondering what exactly...

Leader of drug organization pleads guilty to trafficking, money laundering conspiracyFBI agents broke down how they used a PlayStation box to track down a drug stash in Novi that led to the seizure of enough fentanyl “to kill the entire population of Michigan.” Officials said this case dates back to July 2017, when agents with the Drug Enforcement Agency turned to “creative investigative work” and traced a UPC code off of a Sony PlayStation box. The box had been used by a drug organization to deliver heroin to a customer, according to authorities. Officials tracked the code to a condominium...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) slammed New York state party leadership on Wednesday after election returns showed the Empire State trending to the right, calling on the president of the group to resign. “NYS Dem party leadership, which was gutted under [former New York Gov. Andrew] Cuomo [D], stuffed with lobbyists, works to boost GOP, and failed to pass a basic state ballot measure to protect NY redistricting, must be accountable,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote on Twitter. “I called for Jay Jacob’s resignation a year ago and I still hold that position,” she added, referring to the New York State Democratic Party president....

As the political discussion centers on the 2022 wins and losses from the midterm election, one thing that stands out in similarity to the 2020 general election is the difference between ballots and votes. It appears in some states this is the ‘new normal.’Where votes were the focus, the Biden administration suffered losses. Where ballots were the focus, the Biden administration won. While initially the ballot form of election control was tested in Deep Blue states, through the process of mail-in returns under the guise and justification of “expanding democracy,” a useful tool for those who are vested in the distinction,...

Photos of the $203 a night accommodation in ‘fan villages’ is... yeah.If you’ve booked your flight to Qatar for the World Cup and already have your reservation set to stay in a “fan village,” well, I’m sorry. Photos have emerged of the temporary residency set up for 60,000 soccer fans, and calling them a college dorm room would be generous — let alone boarding that costs $203 a night. A total of 30,000 rooms have been erected in the desert for the influx of fans, and while appearances may be deceiving, these look a whole lot like shipping containers....

PHOENIX — Democrat Katie Hobbs lost ground overnight to Republican Kari Lake in the race for Arizona governor. Hobbs led 50.3%-49.7% in numbers released around 7 a.m. Wednesday by the Arizona Secretary of State’s Office, down from her previous share of 51.3%. Only 11,726 votes separate the candidates. Lake, the former television news anchor with Fox 10, won the Republican nomination over Karrin Taylor Robson and centered her campaign around the values of former President Donald Trump. Her television-ready demeanor, confrontations with journalists and combative message for Democrats made the first-time candidate a rising star on the right whose future...

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the...

Well, that was disheartening, dispiriting, and demoralizing. We went into the party with a president with some of the lowest approval ratings in history and Americans (at least according to the polls) focused like lasers on issues that could be chalked up to Democrat policy failures — namely, inflation and crime. And yet Republicans are hanging on by a thread, and, as of this writing, it's still possible that Democrats will retain their majority in the House and gain a full majority in the Senate. If that happens, the American experiment is over, and the Marxist experiment truly begins. So...

The GOP establishment is already trying to ding The Donald for its own underwhelming strategies and messaging. Do not buy it.A flurry of phone calls and texts at 2am taught me that some long-standing MAGA stalwarts are now preparing to ditch Donald Trump because they didn’t get the flood of feel good results last night. This attitude is incorrect, and sober analysis proves it. The “OMG RED WAVE!!!” brigade are now the most vociferously disappointed. They set expectations so high – all the while carrying water for a Republican National Committee and party leadership led by the deeply unpopular Kevin...

Yesterday America voted, and there were some rather odd election anomalies -- much as there had been in 2020. As for the latter, a bit of history: The winner of Florida, Iowa, and Ohio had won the presidency for perhaps as long as the three states have been part of the union and certainly had for 60 years, since Richard Nixon won them but lost an election widely regarded to have been stolen. Donald Trump won all three states by comfortable margins -- but “lost” the 2020 election. There also are the 19 bellwether counties that had supported the presidential...

Heavy rain soaked California's San Francisco Bay Area overnight and into Tuesday morning with the precipitation adding up to some impressive totals. The southern part of the region saw some of the most intense rainfall with many locations across the Santa Cruz Mountains recording over 2 inches and 1 to 2 inches falling across the South Bay. The downpours led to flooding on roadways from Sunnyvale to San Jose. The South Bay often sees less rain than other parts of the region due to the Santa Clara Valley's location on the lee side of the Santa Cruz Mountains, but that...

When rumors spread like wildfire Monday that President Donald J. Trump would announce his third presidential campaign that night, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., was among those who hoped they were true.Ultimately, that was not the case, and taking to Twitter Tuesday, the congresswoman explained why.“I wish Pres Trump announced last night in Ohio, but he chose to put everyone else first,” she explained. “He’s held 30 rallies in 17 states, hosted 43 telerallies & 52 candidate fundraisers, & endorsed 285 candidates while being politically persecuted. He’s put everyone else first all along.”I wish Pres Trump announced last night in...

CDC research shows excessive drinking is killing Americans in the “prime of their life”America has a drinking problem. Excessive alcohol consumption contributed to an estimated one in eight deaths—12.9 percent—of Americans ages 20 to 64, according to new research from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Drinking too much booze is also at fault for one in five deaths—20.3 percent—of Americans ages 20 to 49, per the study published last week in the journal JAMA Network Open. The findings, which examined data from 2015 to 2019, show that alcohol is killing Americans during their prime working years, suggesting...

President Trump took to his favorite medium, Truth Social, to share some brief insight into his thoughts about the rapidly-developing results from the 2022 midterm elections. “While in certain ways yesterday’s election was somewhat disappointing, from my personal standpoint it was a very big victory – 219 WINS and 16 Losses in the General – Who has ever done better than that?” he wrote. While a small handful of races didn’t quite go the way that Republican voters had hoped, overall, the midterms were a very big night for President Trump’s America First candidates, who have all but regained control of...
