When rumors spread like wildfire Monday that President Donald J. Trump would announce his third presidential campaign that night, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., was among those who hoped they were true.
Ultimately, that was not the case, and taking to Twitter Tuesday, the congresswoman explained why.
“I wish Pres Trump announced last night in Ohio, but he chose to put everyone else first,” she explained. “He’s held 30 rallies in 17 states, hosted 43 telerallies & 52 candidate fundraisers, & endorsed 285 candidates while being politically persecuted. He’s put everyone else first all along.”
Those figures were also touted Tuesday by Trump’s Save America PAC, conveying the 45th president’s massive efforts and commitment to putting “America First.”
In addition to the shocking number of events Trump has held in support of others, the Tuesday statement noted, “President Trump raised nearly $350 million in this election cycle for Republican candidates and Party Committees.”
Further, Trump’s primary super PAC, Make America Great Again, Inc., reportedly spent $16.4 million in five weeks in support of U.S. Senate, gubernatorial, and attorney general races around the country.
Throughout his rally speeches, Trump has repeatedly referred to the MAGA movement as “our movement,” stressing that he became involved in politics to help save America. He did not do it for personal gain.
Meanwhile, in the midst of all the rallies and fundraisers, the 45th president has also had to respond to attacks from the media, the Jan. 6 “Unselect” Committee, and the attorney general of New York, as well as an FBI raid on his home.
Nevertheless, through it all, Trump has remained positive in his outlook for America, holding, “We can turn it around and Make America Great Again.”
I’ll vote for Donald Trump in 2024 if I have to, but I’d really love to see Ron DeSantis be the nominee.
MTG tells it like it is...
I have been surprised today at the number of “Anti-Trumpers” that have come out in FR today.....
MTG will be able to get some sweet committee assignments this time around.
I feel the same way.
I’d love to see him as VP in 2024 and President in 2028...
The ticket I’d like to see in 2028 would be DeSantis and Jim Jordan...
Trump is trying to rescue a drowning America while they try to climb on top.
All day I’ve seen people here blasting Trump for not doing enough, but having read thru the list of things he did do, I don’t know how much more he could be expected to do. I know some of those blasting him are those with TDS and reading this article won’t cure them of that, but some of those who are or were Trump supporters reading this will give us all a better understanding of what went on.
Trump, the Peace and Prosperity President
President 2028 & 2032.
He doesn’t need to waste his time being VP.
Besides Florida needs him right now.
Also, other red/purple states should follow his lead.
Well said.....
Trump was a disaster last night.
“...Also,other red/purple states should follow his lead...”
Most definitely...In fact ALL states should...
President Trump was an incredible President. This is why all the deep state actors, politicians, press, were gunning for him. The system is against him in every way. The Republic is on thin ice. But it’s make or break with him in 2024.
I need a drink.
Unlike most politicians, MTG is genuinely grateful for help.
I’m still a MAGA fan, and would vote for Trump again given the chance, but I also like DeSantis and Paul. Any of those 3 would do great.I want Lake to give training to republcans on how to deal with the dishonest press.
Look-there is serious TDS going on and I hope that our elections go as follows:
Trump 2024
DeSantis 2028-2036
Kari Lake 2036-2044
I’m with Trump all the way and as a politician, only Trump. He should do a speech tour where his focus isn’t to get Repukes elected but to rehabilitate his image with those people who only hate because of the caricature the media paints either him. It shouldn’t be rallies. It should be a speech about WHY he’s doing this and his love for America. People only get to see him fighting and anyone who watches him knows that he fights because of the love he has for the country. He needs to show that. As much as he likes to brag about, I did this, I did that he doesn’t share much of the things he does out of love and caring. In that sense (and only that sense) he’s actually very humble.
