President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Mr Schwab dear Klaus, Colleagues, I have been to Davos many times, attending the events organised by Mr Schwab, even back in the 1990s. Klaus Schwab just recalled that we met in 1992. Indeed, during my time in St Petersburg, I visited this important forum many times. I would like to thank you for this opportunity today to convey my point of view to the expert community that gathers at this world-renowned platform thanks to the efforts of Mr Schwab. First of all, ladies and gentlemen, I would like to greet all the World Economic...

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - In 2021, Dougherty County Public Works had a 76% turnover rate, an issue they say stems from COVID-19. The Public Works Director Chuck Mathis said the reason they lost employees was due to the pandemic, but another reason was pay. He’s hoping a pay study will help them increase employees’ salaries. Mathis said right now, they have 57 positions and out of those, they need to fill 19. “It’s tough to fill the services people expect when you don’t have staff,” said Mathis. Some of those services are road maintenance, fleet maintenance, storm drainage, cleaning up...

Estonia still has yet to find funding for setting up potential shelter sites. Now the state intends to review previously mapped out shelter sites and will try to quickly strike deals with their owners. Photos and videos of Ukrainians seeking shelter from bombs, shelling and rocket fire in recent days have seen phones ringing at every news desk. While the military and officials confirm that Estonia is currently not under direct military threat, resources such as the Be Prepared! ("Ole valmis!") app created by the Women's Voluntary Defense Organization (Naiskodukaitse) are helping residents prepare for emergencies. This app notes that...

Decades of underinvestment in schools, culture battles over bilingual education, and dizzying levels of income inequality have pushed California to the bottom of the pile, making it the least literate state in the nation.

The dizzying events of the past week have pushed to the sidelines the congressional squabbling over President Biden’s domestic agenda, and are already redefining the arc of his presidency.WASHINGTON — Ron Klain, the White House chief of staff, gave a pep talk early on Feb. 18 at the daily gathering of the president’s most senior aides: The next 10 days, he said, will be the most consequential of the Biden presidency.President Biden’s military and intelligence chiefs had told him that a Russian invasion was all but inevitable. Mr. Klain, a veteran of Washington and one of Mr. Biden’s closest advisers,...

The Federalist verifies the identities of all anonymous authors we publish. ************************************************************************ In lashing out against Beijing through The New York Times, the Biden administration revealed their incompetence in handling China. ************************************************************************ The Biden administration’s weakness and incompetence were on full display in a New York Times article last week recounting the White House’s repeated—and failed— attempts to urge China to help avert war in Ukraine. The purpose of the article was to allow senior administration officials to take their duplicitous Chinese counterparts to task, but the account...

The retreat of the United States and her allies before the Chinese-backed Taliban in Afghanistan and the failure of the West’s feeble attempts at diplomacy in the face of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine share a sinister aetiology that has attracted remarkably little attention. A relentless, targeted campaign of desinformatsiya – systematic reputational destruction or “unpersoning” by Communist front groups posing as environmental campaign entities but in reality fostered, funded and too often founded by Moscow and Beijing – has all but silenced thousands of skeptical climate researchers who had formerly been able to debate the climate question in the sunlight...

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky Sunday, adding that Brazil would "adopt a neutral stance on Ukraine" and will not impose sanctions on Russia. He also pointed out that Brazil is dependent on Russian fertilizer, and that action against Moscow "could bring serious harm to agriculture in Brazil." He added that he was in support of peace — "but we don't want to bring more problems to Brazil."

On Tuesday China has again addressed the war in Ukraine, coming as Russia’s invasion has completed its first week. While prior official comments out of Beijing appeared to focus on condemning NATO expansionism while urging the West to take seriously Moscow’s ‘legitimate security concerns’ – this newest statement has sounded alarm over rising civilian casualties. The foreign ministry statement said China “deplores” the outbreak of the conflict, saying it’s “extremely concerned” about civilians being harmed. The statement didn’t single out Russia, but still appears directed at Moscow given the words were conveyed in a phone call between Foreign Minister Wang...

Russia announced on Tuesday plans to host the world’s first “International Anti-Fascist Congress” in order to “unite” the world’s efforts in combatting the ideology of Nazism and Neo-Nazism. Russian leader Vladimir Putin announced a military operation to “de-Nazify” Ukraine last week, claiming Jewish President Volodymyr Zelensky’s government was run by “Nazis” and “coup” leaders. Zelensky became president in a free and fair election in 2019 – in which his opponent, Petro Poroshenko, attacked him as being too friendly to Russia.

U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) renewed criticism of resident Joe Biden Monday evening in a statement calling for the Biden administration to put its oil money where it's anti-Putin mouth is and stop paying Russia for oil supplies to meet Americans' demand. "The entire world is watching as Vladimir Putin uses energy as a weapon in an attempt to extort and coerce our European allies," Manchin noted. "While Americans decry what is happening in Ukraine, the United States continues to allow the import of more than half a million barrels per day of crude oil and other petroleum products from...

On Monday night, all three evening newscasts hyperventilated over a report from the United Nations (U.N.) that allegedly claims the world will suffer grave environmental consequences if nothing is done about "climate change". Instead of reporting on the breaking news that Hunter Biden's former business partner was just convicted of defrauding an impoverished Native American tribe, the networks decided to needlessly frighten their viewers about the climate. On ABC's World News Tonight, anchor David Muir -- while sitting in front of a screen that says "alarming climate change report" -- glumly reported the window to solve climate change is "rapidly...

Satan is not just trying to silence the next generation. He is seeking to wipe it out, declaring an all-out war on our children. They are being slaughtered in the womb. They are being kidnapped and sold into sex slavery. They are being raped and abused and neglected and used. They are being brainwashed by their teachers and bullied by their peers. They are lost and lonely, depressed and suicidal. They cut themselves and kill themselves. Their innocence is being robbed and their security is being stolen. Without exaggeration, we can say that no generation in American history has been...

The most disparaged, defamed, and denigrated American President was, without doubt, Warren G. Harding, who served as the 29th President from 1921-1923. Leftwing historians and journalists have tarnished his reputation for a century, making it one of the great tragedies of American history. Liberals have called him the worst president ever, dead last, unfit, corrupt, immoral, incompetent, inept, lazy, indecisive, shallow, an amiable fool, and a notorious womanizer. Sadly, such judgments of Harding are not exceptions; they are the rule. Historian Nathan Miller, author of Star-Spangled Men: America’s Ten Worst Presidents, wrote that Harding was “a prime example of incompetence,...

But while Putin’s determination to reclaim the Soviet empire and Russia’s sphere of influence may be delusional, it is not insane. In fact, Putin’s actions, while seemingly irrational, are consistent. And until now, his egregious violations of international law and human rights have been successful.

Smoking cannabis may result in an acceleration of the biological aging process, according to a new study in the journal Drug and Alcohol Dependence. After analyzing the epigenomes of 154 people in the US, the researchers found that by the time they hit 30, regular stoners tend to display patterns of genetic activation that are beyond their years. It is well established that the speed at which we age is not dependent solely upon Father Time, and that environmental factors play a key role in determining our rate of maturation. These external influences bring about changes in the expression of...
