The numbers might seem to give plenty of ammo to COVID-19 vaccine doubters. As the share of vaccinated people in Pennsylvania has grown over the summer and fall, so has the number of COVID-19 cases. As of Thanksgiving week, the daily case count and number hospitalized was similar to a year earlier, when no one was vaccinated. The trajectory seemed similar to the one that severely stressed hospitals and culminated in more than 200 deaths per day shortly after Christmas last year. Doctors, however, continue to predict it won’t get that bad again. They further say the data, particularly hospitalizations...

Brian Murray knows just how fierce an opponent Arizona's Sen. Kyrsten Sinema can be. The Republican strategist saw his candidate lose to Democrat Sinema in their 2012 race for the House. Calling the experience "unpleasant," Murray admits his candidate, Vernon Parker, was flawed, but "flawed candidates win all of the time. Kyrsten, however, was an absolute machine." Sinema, along with fellow centrist Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia, has recently become the epicenter of American politics largely because she insists on siding with the interests of her constituents instead of the demands of her party. Over the past few...

KABUL (AP) — Taliban fighters have summarily killed or forcibly “disappeared” more than 100 former police and intelligence officers since taking power in Afghanistan, Human Rights Watch said in a report Tuesday. The group pointed to continuing retaliation against the armed forces of the ousted government despite an announced amnesty. Taliban forces have hunted down former officers using government employment records and have targeted those who surrendered and received letters guaranteeing their safety, the report said. In some cases, local Taliban commanders have drawn up lists of people to be targeted, saying they committed “unforgivable” acts. “The pattern of killings...

To understand the modern world, perhaps the most important rule one needs to know is this: Everything the Left touches it ruins. This first became clear to me years ago during my radio show. I was talking about the Left's war on the Boy Scouts (for not accepting announced gay people). It was becoming clear that this would ultimately lead to the decline of the Boy Scouts, which led me to ask: "Will the left replace the Boy Scouts with a left-wing Boy Scouts?" Then I answered my own question: Of course not. Because the Left only destroys; it doesn't...

In a league filled with race-baiters, cowards, and China apologists, he stands out as an extraordinarily brave spokesman for liberty around the world. Enes Kanter, a 6’11” tall Turkish-born Muslim, is a really good basketball player. He’s so good that he’s played with some of the best teams in the NBA and is currently on the Boston Celtics. But more than being a fine basketball player, he’s a truly good man, who bravely speaks up for oppressed people everywhere. And on Monday, he became an American citizen and took a new name to celebrate: He’s now Enes Kanter Freedom. My...

On November 2nd Conservatives across the country celebrated as we watched Republicans sweep the top three statewide offices in Virginia, among several other shocking victories on election night. This was a resounding defeat of Democrats’ radical, progressive agenda and Americans delivered their message loud and clear: The Democrats have radicalized and pushed too far with their agenda. Despite clear warning signs that Democratic politicians are out of touch with the average American and focused only on the elites in the weeks leading up to these elections, the usual suspects at CNN and MSNBC blamed the results on racism and privilege,...

The odds of former President Donald Trump being reelected in 2024 are increasing, as are the odds of Republicans gaining back a majority in both the House and Senate, according to US-Bookies.com. A spokesperson for US-Bookies said Trump has “gradually made his way to the top of the political betting markets, while the top Democratic challengers’ odds to win have weakened.” The spokesperson noted that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) has “also seen improvements in the presidential betting markets, making a Republican win seem more likely.” According to the data, over the past month, Trump’s reelection odds “shifted from 7/2...

The Rittenhouse case shows that there needs to be social consequences for prosecutorial overreach even if the overreach does not violate the ABA's Rules of Professional Conduct. Although our legal system finally worked as designed with Kyle Rittenhouse's acquittal for shooting at four assailants, our society cannot move forward without condign legal and/or public relations consequences for everybody involved. This case underscores an extremely dangerous practice, which dates back to the Salem witch trials if not before, of putting people on trial to pander to lynch mobs or their equivalents. Prosecutors, especially those with political ambitions, will latch on to...

Nine U.S. House Democrats have asked the Justice Department to release American environmental lawyer Steven Donziger, who spent decades battling Chevron Corp over pollution in the Ecuadorian rainforest. The disbarred lawyer was handed a six-month imprisonment sentence in October for criminal contempt arising from a lawsuit brought by the oil company. The Democrats including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Tlaib on Monday said in a letter addressed to Attorney General Merrick Garland that the lawyer was jailed for "petty contempt of court". "As the United States is a party to the District Court case against Mr. Donziger, we request that you...

The following statement was sent to me and other members of the medical staff at a local hospital in October 2021 by its Executive Committee after approval at a Medical Staff meeting: “In early September, the Federation of State Medical Boards, as well as the American Board of Family Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine, and American Board of Pediatrics, issued a statement about vaccine misinformation. They stated that providing misinformation about the Covid-19 vaccine contradicts physicians’ ethical and professional responsibilities, and therefore may subject a physician to disciplinary action, including suspension or revocation of their medical license. In support...

Authorities in New York's Long Island are investigating a blast that left a crater and was felt miles away Sunday. Police are working with the FBI on the probe, to determine whether it could have been a prelude to something bigger. The Suffolk County Police Department said the explosion occurred on Fox Island, off the coast of West Babylon, around 11:40 a.m. when a device was detonated. Authorities received nearly three dozen 911 calls, the department told Fox News.

Dozens of customers who stopped for a drink at Britain’s highest altitude pub got a longer stay than they bargained for, after the building was cut off by a blizzard. Sixty-one people woke up Monday after their third night at the Tan Hill Inn in the Yorkshire Dales, 270 miles (435 kilometers) north of London. They have been unable to leave since Friday, when a late autumn storm brought snow and heavy winds that felled power cables and blocked roads. The pub sits 1,732 feet (528 meters) above sea level and is used to being cut off by bad weather....

The “experts” skipped the “Xi variant” because they didn’t want to offend the dictator of the country that unleashed a pandemic on world, so now we have the Omicron variant of COVID 19. What does it mean? No one knows. The woman who discovered it says its symptoms are significantly more mild than the original or even the Delta variant, but that hasn’t stopped the media and Democrats (sorry to repeat myself) from hyping this newly discovered strain as, perhaps, the bringing of Armageddon. Why? They want, no – need – to keep people afraid. They have too much they...

Anyone expecting to find extensive news coverage of the Darrell E. Brooks mass murders at the Waukesha Christmas parade can save their time. It’s not there. The mainstream media is doing what it does best when the perpetrator is black and the victims are white. They don’t report on it. It's been one week since Darrell E. Brooks murdered six people and injured 48 others, and the search results don’t lie. As of this writing, a Google news search using the term “Darrell E. Brooks” returned 1,160 results. The term “Kyle Rittenhouse” returned 155,000 results. The media is burying the...

The inimitable actor Nick Searcy was present in DC on January 6. He has just released a film about what he saw that day, Capitol Punishment. For all Americans who find it hard to believe that our FBI and DOJ are now very dangerous enemies of the people, this film will be a shock. Those two law enforcement institutions are most assuredly now enemies of all law-abiding citizens. The phenomenon of January 6th was no insurrection; it was a carefully calculated set-up. The powers that be, some cabal of Trump haters within our government, successfully manipulated those present to escalate...

I love a heated steering wheel. It’s one of those little creature comforts that if you have never had one then you’re not missing anything. On the other hand once you’ve had one it’s a feature you want to have on every vehicle you own. My 2021 Tacoma did not come with a heated steering wheel although it is an option on some of their models. Does anyone know if there is a Bona fide heated steering wheel upgrade for a 2021 Tacoma truck?

State legislators know nothing about Critical Race Theory (CRT). Descended from Critical Theory (CT) created by the Marxist German Frankfurt School, CRT is the latest effort to divide Americans by race and create a hierarchy of victimhood to use in the war against America’s history and our free-market economy, with the goal of turning the United States into a Marxist state. Do our state legislators fear CRT as the existential national threat it is? Are they or are they not willing to expunge its divisive concepts from our educational system, and are they willing to stay the course to achieve...

President Biden may not recall what he said during a 2020 campaign debate last fall, but Americans should: “Anyone who is responsible for that many deaths should not remain as President of the United States of America.” At the time the U.S. had recorded 220,000 Covid deaths. Covid deaths this year have now surpassed the toll in 2020 with 350,000 since Inauguration Day. It would seem that Mr. Biden has done no better than Donald Trump in defeating Covid despite the benefit of vaccines, better therapies, and more clinical experience. The left politicized Covid by holding Mr. Trump responsible for...
