Joe Biden announced that he will tap into the U.S. Strategic Oil Reserve in order to lower the price of gasoline â this after deliberately cutting production by shutting down pipelines and refusing to grant drilling permits in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico.Itâs unknown how Biden can promote his climate agenda while increasing fossil fuel production. Environmental activists are puzzled â and angry.Washington Post:âThere is a huge contradiction right now in their actions,â said Jean Su, who directs the Energy Justice Program at the Center for Biological Diversity, which has sued to stop the oil rights auction. âItâs really...

Gregory McMichael, 65, his son Travis McMichael, 35, and their neighbor William âRoddieâ Bryan, 52, are charged with murder, aggravated assault and other crimes in the shooting death of Arbery, 25, who they suspected was fleeing a burglary as he ran through their neighborhood near Brunswick. A weird quantum effect that was predicted decades ago has finally been demonstrated â if you make a cloud of gas cold and dense enough, you can make it invisible. Scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) used lasers to squeeze and cool lithium gas to densities and temperatures low enough that it scattered less light. If they can cool the cloud even closer to absolute zero (minus 459.67 degrees Fahrenheit, or minus 273.15 degrees Celsius), they say it will become completely invisible. The bizarre effect is the first ever specific example of a quantum mechanical process called Pauli...

Itâs been just over seven months since radio legend Rush Limbaugh died - and eight since signing off for his final show on February 2, 2021. Radio personalities come and go, sometimes quietly and even mysteriously. At times, station managers invoke soviet-era tactics, surreptitiously making talent changes overnight. Itâs the nature of the business, not wanting to promote another station or call attention to a departing personality. One day a host is advertising a local car dealership, the next day theyâre gone. Explanations are rarely given â theyâre into the ether and out of our lives. But not Rush. A...

This year hasnât been easy. As the pandemic has dragged on, Americans have continued to face adversity in almost every aspect of their lives. People continue to suffer from COVID-19; many of us have lost loved ones. And now our country is facing sky-high inflation and a supply chain disaster, both of which threaten to make the holidays more expensive and more frustrating than ever before. That all makes Thanksgiving a little bit more difficult than usual. Every year, Americans get together with family and friends to celebrate and give thanks. But do many of us really feel gratitude for...

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) brushed off speculation that former President Trump could become the next Speaker of the House if Republicans take back control of the lower chamber next year. "I just don't think that'll ultimately happen," Christie told Julie Mason on Sirius XM's "Julie Mason Mornings" when asked about speculation Trump would come back to Washington to be Speaker, an idea floated recently by Trump's former chief of staff Mark Meadows. "I think that's one of the things that the media likes to write about," Christie continued. "It's like a brokered convention. Every four years the...

The Waukesha District Attorney whose office let out parade killer Darrell Brooks on a $1,000 bond three weeks ago previously admitted he knew his laxed bail reform would lead to killers being set free and murdering others, saying flippantly in a 2007 interview: 'You bet, it's guaranteed to happen.' John Chisolm was elected as Milwaukee County District Attorney in 2007 and he immediately started advocating for lower cash bonds for criminals, like Brooks - a felon with a history of domestic violence charges who was most recently locked up for running over the mother of his children. In 2007, Chisolm...

Former Donald Trump ally Chris Christie says will be first in line to support Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election if the former commander-in-chief runs. While speaking to Fox News host Laura Ingraham, he said that the line of Trump supporters starts behind him. This statement comes despite Christie previously criticizing Trump over comments saying the election was stolen. Speaking on The Axe Files podcast, released on Monday, he said the red line for him was election night.

The 39-year-old man accused of driving an SUV into a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin, on Sunday was charged earlier this month with trying to run over a woman. Waukesha Police Chief Dan Thompson said Monday that Darrell Brooks Jr. will face five charges of first-degree intentional homicide in connection with the horrific incident, in which at least five people were killed and more than 40 injured, according to USA Today. On Sunday, as the parade was taking place, an SUV plowed through barricades and marchers, many of them children. Brooks, who was out on bail at the time, was...

Belarusian autocrat Alexander Lukashenko has cleared out the encampment at his border crossing into Poland, where thousands of Middle Eastern migrants had been living in squalor. Last week, that border crossing was the site of clashes between asylum-seekers trying to push through the razor wire and Polish troops resisting with water cannons. While the crisis between Warsaw and Minsk has not ended, it appears to have been temporarily eased. Behind the clash was the recent election in Belarus that the European Union saw as fraudulent and Lukashenko's interception of a commercial airliner to kidnap and imprison a critical journalist. Lukashenko...

Toxic masculinity, like a viral disease, is everywhere. If youâre a man, shame on you. Do better. But itâs not enough to just point out toxic masculinityâs ubiquitous spread in our decaying society. We at the Babylon Bee have curated a list of things you can do to fight the evils of patriarchy and fatherhoodâafter you have begun taking estrogen supplements: 1) Wear your wife's clothes: This will give you a much cuter, less threatening appearance. 2) Shrug and grunt apathetically when your kids ask for help: They need to learn they have autonomy and don't need a male savior!...

I know the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict and the days following the 2021 elections sort of overtook the news cycle, the former story especially, but we still have this mess with the COVID vaccine mandate brewing. Yes, Democrats were licking their wounds after Election Day 2021, while also blaming white supremacy for their overall abysmal showingâbut Biden's mandate is still an ongoing battle. Yes, the courts put a stop to its implementation and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is no longer working on its enforcement protocols for the mandate, but the Biden White House is once again telling companies to...

"Drain the swamp!" Those three words were more than a mantra for the Trump administration. They were shorthand for reducing the number of nameless, faceless bureaucrats who control the lives of Americans by enforcing a plethora of government regulations without ever standing for election. Now, with resident Joe Biden in the White House, the swamp is again overflowing. OpentheBooks.com recently published the latest appalling figures on the federal government's "internal" spending. One example: The Biden White House is the most costly in our nation's history, even though the president has been in office less than a year. His White House...
