Saule Omarova is a thief. Seriously, she’s a thief and is now in the running to control our currency.. As I noted the other day, a key goal of hers is to completely and utterly bankrupt the coal, oil, and natural gas industries. What she ALSO wants to do is…confiscate our bank accounts. No, I’m not kidding. Her “modest” proposal would negatively impact ALL of us. She is literally advocating for our OWN money to be turned over to the federal government and managed by the same. Oh for sure, THAT will end well. A. The federal government has NEVER...

Admit it, you’ve done this: sat around with friends for hours, trying to come up with the definitive list of the funniest movies ever. Well, now here’s an – almost, sort of – statistical solution: the Laugh a Minute rating. It comes from Lovefilm, the London-based video streaming and DVD subscription service. Lovefilm polled its members for the 10 movies that made them laugh most. All the Comforts of Home. Home should be all that is comforting; the place where you rest securely. The place where you are free to be yourself and free to do and eat what makes you feel happy. To have a comfortable warm place to put your feet up and to know that all is well. As my husband's career in the army was approaching its end we were able to buy our farm and then we worked to make it our dream home. As winter approaches, we decided to put a wood burning stove in the new cabin room...

The big news on Friday was about Kyle Rittenhouse being found not guilty on all five counts. However, if you read the Saturday Politico Playbook, you might think there could have been a sixth charge against him namely for stealing the headlines away from the House passing the big 1.7 trillion dollar spending bill. That really irked Zack Stanton as you can see in "Rittenhouse verdict pushes BBB out of the headlines."

The University of California has slammed the door shut on using any standardized test for admissions decisions, announcing Thursday that faculty could find no alternative exam that would avoid the biased results that led leaders to scrap the SAT last year. UC Provost Michael Brown declared the end of testing for admissions decisions at a Board of Regents meeting, putting a conclusive end to more than three years of research and debate in the nation’s premier public university system on whether standardized testing does more harm than good when assessing applicants for admission. “UC will continue to practice test-free admissions...

Liberal MSNBC host Tiffany Cross blasted Republican members of Congress as "White supremacists" on Saturday, one day after a Wisconsin jury acquitted Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse. Cross, host of "The Cross Connection," specifically took aim at U.S. Reps. Matt Gaetz of Florida and Paul Gosar of Arizona, Mediaite.com reported. Her comments came during a conversation with The Nation journalist Elie Mystal, who was also critical of the GOP. During the conversation, Cross referred to 18-year-old Rittenhouse as "this little murderous White supremacist," even though the jury agreed Rittenhouse acted in self-defense last year when he shot three people, killing two,...

You’ve heard the saying, “If you don’t like the heat, then get out of the kitchen.” Well, that only works if you’re not called to be in the kitchen. For those of us who are called to be there, it would be better to say, “Get used to the heat and get in the kitchen.” When it comes to the conflicts and controversies of our day, if we love God and we love our neighbor, do we really have a choice? On a daily basis, often from many different sides, I get blasted for positions I take in writing or...

Kyle Rittenhouse is not a hero for his actions on the night of August 25, 2020. Those events are a tragedy all around. The taking of human life, even when done in self-defense and against a less-than-stellar citizen, should never be treated lightly. Kyle Rittenhouse may, however, be a hero of a different sort, one whose heroism falls more under the domain of the First Amendment than the Second. By taking the stand and testifying at his trial, Rittenhouse showed the world the falsity of the narratives that had been set up around him, and in doing so did a...
