SNIP Taken from a circular letter, addressing many topics, written to three friends and co-workers in the conspiracy against Hitler, on the tenth anniversary of Hitler’s accession to the chancellorship of Germany, below is Bonhoeffer’s entire quote on stupidity:“Stupidity is a more dangerous enemy of the good than malice. One may protest against evil; it can be exposed and, if need be, prevented by use of force. Evil always carries within itself the germ of its own subversion in that it leaves behind in human beings at least a sense of unease. Against stupidity we are defenceless. Neither protests nor...

Should I be charged with a felony, I know that as an American I am presumed innocent. This presumption of innocence means I will remain in possession of my God-given liberty until a jury of my peers finds me guilty, and a judge determines that I shall forfeit an element of my liberty, my freedom to move about in society as I please. In a larger sense encompassing the presumption of innocence, there is the presumption of liberty. Liberty comprises all of the enumerated, unenumerated as well as implied rights and privileges of our Constitution. Until I prove myself unfit...

What’s in a name? Enough to lead people to be unintentionally dismissive and disrespectful of someone by misgendering them, according to the University of Pittsburgh. But now, Pitt has published a gender-inclusive language guide that includes a set of “non-sexist language guidelines and resources” to help students and faculty avoid “unintentionally creating a sexist and homophobic classroom environment.” In the guide, “yinz” is a suggested substitute for “ladies and gentlemen.” The guidelines include advice such as “do not limit yourself to male examples or heterosexual examples. Teachers can and should honor the breadth of experience and potential in students’ lives...

On Friday, Israeli President Isaac Herzog visited the Arab-Israeli village of Kafr Qassem and addressed a memorial to the victims of the Kafr Qassem Massacre. In that event, which took place on October 29, 1956, on the first day of the Suez Campaign, forty-nine people were killed. Speaking at the memorial ceremony, Herzog said, "I am standing here before you today with my head bowed and my heart pained, on the sixty-fifth anniversary of one of the saddest events in the history of our country - an event whose gravity has never been in question. For it is clear to...

In an undercover video made by an investigative reporter for Project Veritas, Democrat strategist and activist Wendy Martinez admitted that "Gov. Phil Murphy does intend to issue a vaccination mandate, but not until after he is reelected. Right now, too many voters are all into the 'my body, my rights' shit. If they knew that Phil intended to order everyone to take the jab they'd probably vote him out of office." Matthew Urquijo, manager of New Jersey Forward, a coalition of powerful public and private sector interests supportive of Murphy's governing agenda, echoed Martinez's fears, saying that "our polls show...

But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, saying, “It is a ghost!” and they cried out for fear. —Matthew 14:26 I have always liked Halloween as a joke that’s hard to get. The joke, as I see it, is that death is something to smile about, even laugh about. G.K. Chesterton saw things similarly and wrote winkingly in his poem “The Skeleton”: Death was but the good King’s jest, It was hid so carefully. And that jest certainly is carefully hidden, especially to those in this “muddy vesture of decay,” as Shakespeare called our...

An election watchdog group is asking for an investigation into Democratic Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe over what it says are serious campaign finance violations. JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A peaceful prayer vigil turned into a shouting match outside of Jackson Women’s Health Organization in Fondren. This comes after the Live Action pro-life advocacy group came to Jackson to protest the state’s only abortion clinic. America’s crisis at the border is now a crisis in New York public schools. The Biden Administration is flooding New York City and Long Island communities with thousands of unaccompanied immigrant minors captured crossing the Mexico-US border, often arriving here, as The Post recently reported, via clandestine flights in the middle of the night. The arrival of these children, mostly teenage boys, in local schools is creating a classroom crisis that is strapping educational resources, costing taxpayers millions in un-budgeted dollars, and aiding gang-recruiting efforts, argue parents, teachers and immigration experts. “We’re at maxed capacity for kids with special needs,...

Almost 40 years after his death following a bar brawl in Key Biscayne, Ricardo Morales, known as “Monkey” — contract CIA worker, anti-Castro militant, counter-intelligence chief for Venezuela, FBI informant and drug dealer — returned to the spotlight Thursday morning when one of his sons made a startling claim on Spanish-language radio:Morales, a sniper instructor in the early 1960s in secret camps where Cuban exiles and others trained to invade Cuba, realized in the hours after President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas in 1963 that the accused killer, Lee Harvey Oswald, had been one of his sniper trainees.

(CNN)A Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe v. Wade could bring abortion bans to as many as half the states in the country already poised to prohibit the procedure. Such a move would also have knock-on effects on the primarily blue states that would maintain access to abortion. A Roe v. Wade reversal -- and the flood of abortion restrictions such a ruling would usher in -- stands to affect the distance women would have to travel to their nearest clinic, according to a new report released this week by the Guttmacher Institute. The institute, which favors abortion rights used...

The Landlady's Tale By SWORDMAKER copyright 2000Preface The following story was told to me by the woman who rented my parents their first home in California when they moved to Sacramento in 1939. A devout Catholic (so much so that although she had been divorced by her husband, she did not consider the divorce valid and did not remarry until her husband died many years later) the landlady swore on her Bible, in front of my sister and me after she told us the story, that it was absolutely true. She was quite serious about it.In the 1970s, I personally...

The raging Democrats were screaming and chanting with bullhorns outside of a wedding Sinema attended. The mother of the bride came out to beg the leftists not to ruin her daughter’s wedding. The leftists didn’t care and screamed at the woman telling her to kick Sinema out of the wedding. This is the modern-day Democrat Party. They are no different than any Marxist regime in the world today. This is what you can expect when you offend these monsters. Not even your daughter’s wedding is safe from these demons.

The Lincoln Project co-founder Stuart Stevens has refused to apologize after the 'Never Trump' group admitted to planting five people carrying tiki torches in front of the Republican candidate for Virginia governor Glenn Youngkin's bus. Stevens' statement came as liberals and Democratic candidate Terry McAuliffe's staff joined conservatives in bashing the stunt. McAuliffe's campaign manager called it 'disgusting.' CNN's Chris Cuomo asked Stevens, appearing with longtime Democratic strategist James Carville, if he wanted to apologize for the smear.
