Researchers compared people who had received two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine to unvaccinated individuals who had recovered from the virus. They found that participants with natural immunity were up to 13 times less likely to contract Covid than those who were given two jabs. The team, from Maccabi Healthcare and Tel Aviv University note that their study - which has not yet been peer-reviewed - has many limitations including the more highly transmissible Delta variant being dominant at the time and participants not being required to be tested. The study looks at breakthrough infections and does not discourage...

Good evening Freepers. I am hoping to find some military members/veterans on here who would like to assist in a task I'm undertaking. We've all seen templates for religious exemption letters for folks in the military. The ones I downloaded most recently are the ones located at this website: IMPORTANT: DOWNLOAD COVID VACCINE RELIGIOUS EXEMPTION DOCUMENTS HERE These items have been making the rounds, but they are limited in who they actually pertain to. For instance, the actual letter is for Army personnel and no one else. In addition, the religious supporting documentation addresses concerns of the Eastern Orthodox Church...

In a win for the Biden administration, a federal judge blocked an executive order by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) that would have banned the U.S. government from transporting migrants in the Lone Star State. Abbott issued the order under the banner of fighting the coronavirus pandemic. U.S. District Judge Kathleen Cardone, a George W. Bush appointee, determined that the governor’s order violated the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution and said Abbott’s rationale did not withstand basic scrutiny. “Indeed, recent data shows that ‘migrants generally test positive at similar or lower rates than Americans living in the counties where they...

The dysfunctional federal jail where Jeffrey Epstein hanged himself in 2019 will be closed “at least temporarily,” the Justice Department said Thursday. The Metropolitan Correctional Center in lower Manhattan could be shut down as soon as the coming month, sources say. “In an effort to address the issues at MCC NY as quickly and efficiently as possible, the Department has decided to close the MCC, at least temporarily, until those issues have been resolved. Planning for the deactivation is under way, and we will have more updates as that process continues,” a DOJ spokeswoman said in a statement. Sources were...

Harvard University, the elite institution founded by Puritans to train ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, has selected a devout atheist to serve as its chief chaplain. Greg Epstein was named president of the chaplains for the religious community at the school after serving as Harvard's "humanist chaplain" since 2005, the New York Times reported. The university, with the motto "Truth for Christ and the Church," was founded by in 1636 and named for pastor John Harvard. ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - Nearly two dozen allegations of sexual abuse from women who were connected with North Love Baptist Church, North Love Christian School, Reformers Unanimous and North Love Ministries, are coming to light. “The end goal is to uproot the culture of abuse when we see as almost institutional at this place,” Nate Plautz said. Plautz attended North Love Baptist Church every Sunday growing up and attended kindergarten through 12th grade there. But these days, Plautz is speaking against North Love as one of the co-founders of a private North Love group that supports survivors. “We have about...

It’s only a matter of when the attack comes. And when it does it could be the greatest battle, and possibly the bloodiest, that Afghanistan has ever seen. You see, thirty-three of Afghanistan’s thirty-four provinces fell to the Taliban over the span of two weeks in early August. But one region, has not. The sole area that has resisted Taliban encroachment has been the province of Panjshir, located in a valley at the foot of the Hindu Kush mountains. The valley’s name translates to “five lions,” although other translations claim its name may refer to five mountain peaks located down...

All stores in my area have been out of NAC all week. Yesterday one told me that FDA has finally cracked down. Supply line choked off. I confirmed this with another store today. Amazon caved back in May, but the supplement industry was holding out. Looks like that has ended. For those of you who don’t know, NAC was introduced as a drug in the 60s. It was originally used as an expectorant for bronchial phlegm. It is also used for liver detox in Tylenol overdose. I’ve seen many Freepers post on the benefits for COVID-19 in the last year....

Pro-abortion groups in Texas are trying to raise up activists in an unlikely venue: churches. Support for the killing of unborn babies in abortions never has been strong, and prominent pro-abortion groups have expressed concerns about apathy among their supporters. Meanwhile, the pro-life movement remains strong and active, with new pregnancy resource centers and maternity homes opening across the country and a record number of pro-life laws passing in the states, student pro-life groups in hundreds of high schools and colleges and sidewalk counselors offering prayers and support outside abortion facilities everywhere. To thwart these life-saving efforts, the Texas Freedom...

The Supreme Court on Thursday ruled against a federal freeze on evictions, dealing a blow to the Biden administration’s effort to shield cash-strapped tenants from the coronavirus pandemic. In a 6-3 ruling that broke along familiar ideological lines, the court lifted the stay on a federal judge’s order which found the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) eviction moratorium unlawful.

China's drive for "common prosperity", as President Xi Jinping aims to ease inequality in the world's second-largest economy, does not mean "killing the rich to help the poor", an official from the ruling Communist Party said on Thursday. China must also "guard against falling into the trap of welfarism", Han Wenxiu, an official at the central financial and economic affairs commission, told a briefing in Beijing. Those who "get rich first" should help those behind, but hard work should be encouraged, he said. "We cannot wait for help, rely on others for help, or beg for help. We cannot support...

The aim is to open humanitarian corridors to help thousands of Afghan refugees following the withdrawal of US troopsAn Italian newspaper has claimed that Pope Francis is negotiating with the Taliban in Afghanistan through Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to defuse the refugee crisis in the Central Asian country. According to Il Tempo, the aim is to open humanitarian corridors to help thousands of Afghan refugees following the withdrawal of US troops and the return to power of the Sharia-following Taliban. “A reserved channel has unexpectedly been opened between the Holy See and the Taliban to create a humanitarian corridor,”...
