On this date in 1776, Continental Army soldier Thomas Hickey was hanged before “a vast concourse of people” for a plot that might have strangled the American Revolution in its crib. That revolution was a highly uncertain venture at this moment, and in a different timeline Thomas Hickey might have been a British hero for squelching it. “These are the times that try men’s souls,” revolutionary firebrand Thomas Paine wrote late in 1776. Hickey had to face his trial in the flesh. George Washington had holed up in New York City in the spring to fortify it against an expected...

Macy Gray isn't backing down from her controversial stance that the American flag should be redesigned. The 53-year-old Grammy-winning singer elicited mixed reactions over a Juneteenth op-ed she wrote for MarketWatch that quickly went viral. In the piece, Gray compared the U.S. flag to the Confederate flag, calling it "tattered, dated, divisive and incorrect." She doubled down on her assertion on Monday. "Why do we have to celebrate a flag that now represents divisiveness and hate?" she declared. Gray felt the need for change more than ever on Jan. 6, when she watched rioters storm the U.S. Capitol, many of...

New York City's Pride celebrations were marred Sunday evening after an attack on a food vendor and skirmishes with police who used pepper spray to regain control. An elderly hot dog seller in the city's embattled Washington Square Park had a busted lip, bloody nose and was seen bleeding from his head after being punched in the face several times by a woman.

A new report from an investigative reporter who has been at the forefront of reporting on the origins of the coronavirus pandemic and the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) alleges that China discussed the threat that man-made viruses pose to mankind and how they might be weaponized to target certain groups of people. David Asher, a top investigator who led the State Department’s investigation into the origins of the coronavirus pandemic , an investigation that the Biden administration shut down, said that what China wrote in its declaration to the United Nations “essentially laid out a road map of developments...

Japanese car manufacturer Toyota has defended its decision to donate $55,000 to 37 Republicans who voted against certifying the 2020 Presidential election result. Toyota donated more than any other corporate PAC to the politicians who voted against the result - and even gave more than twice as much as the second-biggest donor Cubic Corp. ... The data shows that at least 103 of the 147 members who voted against the election result received donations from corporations including Walmart and Koch Industries. But Toyota is the company who has donated far more than other businesses, with its $55,000 worth of donations...

The shooting that killed two Black people Saturday in Winthrop, Massachusetts, is now being investigated as a hate crime. Investigators found the 28-year-old gunman had made "some troubling white supremacist rhetoric" that targeted Black and Jewish people before he killed two people, including a retired state trooper. The gunman, identified by Suffolk County District Attorney Rachael Rollins Sunday as Nathan Allen, was quickly killed by police officers. The victims were identified Sunday as David Green, a 58-year-old retired Massachusetts State Police officer, and Ramona Cooper, a 60-year-old Air Force veteran. The rampage erupted in quiet Winthrop, a small city across...

A crucial witness who has been relied upon to build the deep state’s case against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is admitting that he has lied constantly to help the feds railroad the information liberator. Sigurdur Ingi Thordarson reportedly told reporters at Grabien that he lied about Assange to get the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation off of his back so he could commit criminal acts with impunity. Thordarson had allegedly embezzled funds from WikiLeaks after offering to sell merchandise for the group. He then reached out to the federal government hoping to become an informant in order...

Observed from some angles, the United States is falling apart. All over, we’re seeing signs of fragmentation. At the smallest scale, the tony community of Buckhead, Ga., may be seceding from Atlanta. Mayor Keisha Bottoms’ anti-anti-crime strategy has led to a predictable criminal surge. Buckhead wants escape from dysfunction — via self-rule. The same thing is happening within states. Last month, several communities in eastern Oregon voted to secede and join Idaho. The region’s farmers don’t want to be ruled from their state’s weed- and Antifa-plagued coastal regions. Parts of New Mexico want to join Texas. A huge swath of...

On Friday's edition of The 11th Hour on MSNBC, host Brian Williams seemed to suggest that Fox News be banned from military bases because Tucker Carlson responded to Gen. Mark Milley's recent defense of Critical Race Theory by declaring "He’s not just a pig. He’s stupid." Later, Williams tried to tie concerns about CRT in the military to Vladimir Putin. Addressing the nominally conservative Charlie Sykes, Williams lamented that "Fox News is on and virtually every mess hall and lounge in military bases foreign and domestic. So think about it, through the ranks they are going to hear Fox News...

According to a new report in The New York Post, yet another anti-law enforcement Democrat has been seeking special police protection despite publicly advocating for police budgets to be slashed and accusing law enforcement officers of being white supremacists. Representative Jamaal Bowman, a Democratic Socialist from New York, reportedly requested special police protection for his private residence from the Yonkers Police Department. According to the Post: “About a week after the Jan. 6th incident at the Capitol, we received a request from the Congressman’s office for increased police presence at his residence,” Yonkers Police Department Detective Lt. Dean Politopoulos told...

One of the earliest books I’ve read when I was a teenager with an interest in politics was Alexis de Toqueville’s “Democracy in America”. I didn’t understand all the concepts in the book at the time, but nevertheless, it was an interesting read to say the least. The key word in that book is democracy. Due to the mass indoctrination in the public (and private) school system which replaced education and critical thinking, Americans now believe that the USA is a democracy. That’s very far from the truth. The WASP founding fathers of America even said something along the lines...

Saturday, MSNBC “Cross Connection” host Tiffany Cross sounded off on HBO “Real Time” host Bill Maher mocking Lin-Manuel Miranda for apologizing for not having more Afro-Latino representation in the movie “In the Heights.” In an open monologue, Cross told Maher that he does not “get to tell people of color what they should or should not be offended by.” She advised him to stay in his lane on the subject until he has had a diverse panel on his show discussing “colorism.”

Despite unambiguous dangers, pregnant women are still having the Covid-19 injections recommended to them by oblivious or complicit doctors. ====================================================================================== Ask your average American how many preborn babies have been aborted following their mothers being injected with Covid-19 experimental drugs, commonly known as “Covid vaccines.” Many will say “zero” because mainstream media doesn’t report on them. Most will likely say somewhere in the range between 1-20. The reality is shocking as a new report indicates 576 preborn babies died shortly after their mothers took the jabs. What’s even more concerning is the fact that the VAERS data is incomplete. There...

The Sriracha story traces back to the 1930s. In a Thai town called Sri Racha, a housewife named Thanom Chakkapak created a paste of chili peppers, distilled vinegar, garlic, sugar and salt. Variations of this recipe have travelled across the globes in the decades since. 2/ One variation was created by David Tran, a major in the South Vietnamese army. In 1978, the Tran family joined 3k+ refugees and fled Communist Vietnam on a Taiwanese boat called the Huey Fong (means "Gathering Prosperity”). The boat inspired the business name Huy Fong Foods. Image 3/ Tran landed in the US and...
