The US Navy's new $166billion fleet of Virginia-class submarines is being hampered by infrastructure issues and defective parts that are breaking down decades earlier than expected. The Navy is facing 'significant delays' in submarine maintenance that will stunt its ability to keep up with its workload for the next 25 years, according to a recent report from the Congressional Budget Office. The CBO report found that the Navy faces a drastic shortage of parts and has too often relied on a solution called 'cannibalization.' In other words, when a submarine is missing a part, the Navy typically swaps it with...

Argall (R-Schuylkill/Berks), the sponsor of Senate Bill 439 says it has strong, bipartisan support and was passed by a vote of 48-2. “This bill gives counties dedicated funding for the demolition of blighted, decaying, rat-infested buildings,” said Argall. “Breathing new life into our older towns, large and small, will help bring more jobs here and encourage more of our young people to stay in their hometowns to raise their family and build their career.”

While President Joe Biden promised that none of his family members would receive government jobs, that hasn't extended to his top tier of advisers Psaki was asked at the Monday briefing what safeguards the White House has in place to prevent preferential hiring of family members. 'We have the highest ethical standards of any administration in history,' Psaki replied. 'A number of ethics officials have conveyed that and we're proud of that... This is the most diverse administration in American history.' At least five children of his top aides have gotten jobs, according to a report Friday in The Washington...

White House press secretary Jen Psaki on Monday claimed President Biden’s administration is the most ethical “in history” — despite jobs flowing to relatives of senior aides and potential conflicts of interest involving first son Hunter Biden’s shady new art career. Obama administration ethics chief Walter Shaub last week tore into Biden for distributing official jobs to the wives, children and siblings of his senior aides. Shaub on Monday also slammed a high-dollar art auction from Hunter Biden — who hopes to fetch up to $500,000 for his paintings from buyers who will be kept confidential — as “shameful and...

There is no doubt about it: Taiwan Semiconductor has emerged as the world’s most important chipmaker. And now, in the midst of a global semiconductor shortage, it is becoming clear exactly how important the company’s dominance has been. Not only has TSMC made headlines for proposing to expand production into the United States, as we have documented numerous times, but now it is making headlines for how it has become the center of the semiconductor world – and how that can leave the world vulnerable. TSMC’s chips are in “billion of products”, including iPhones, computers and cars, the Wall Street...

The hole in the ozone layer, Earth’s protective chemical shield that absorbs most of the sun’s ultraviolet rays, has slowly healed over the last few decades since the global ban of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). But scientists are now raising the alarm about puncturing a new hole in the ozone layer—this time without any noticeable CGCs in sight. Instead, the surprising cause is deterioration of the aluminum in megaconstellation satellites like SpaceX’s Starlink network. For our purposes, a satellite is a human-made object put into low-Earth orbit (LEO) for a planned lifespan. There are about 5,000 active and defunct satellite sin LEO,...

In every election, there’s a moment that can be pointed to as the turning point, positive or negative. For Missouri’s open Senate seat, that moment just happened for “Republicans” Eric Schmitt and Mark McCloskey who both exposed themselves as woke RINOs (Republicans In Name Only). Eric Schmitt, the state’s current Attorney General, has spent the last few months fraudulently posturing as a Trump-aligned Republican. Although he has lost every lawsuit he filed in his desperate attempt to get President Trump’s attention, he has frequently made headlines. I can see why some Republicans have been conned into believing he is a...

Last month, I texted Tucker Carlson to ask him a question that was on my mind: “Did you get vaccinated?” “When was the last time you had sex with your wife and in what position?” he replied. “We can trade intimate details.” [...] One question you may be asking, if you are a New York Times reader, is: Why are you exchanging texts with Tucker Carlson, the Fox News host who recently described the media at large as “cringing animals who are not worthy of respect”? [...] The answer is one of Washington’s open secrets. Mr. Carlson, a proud traitor...
