In every election, there’s a moment that can be pointed to as the turning point, positive or negative. For Missouri’s open Senate seat, that moment just happened for “Republicans” Eric Schmitt and Mark McCloskey who both exposed themselves as woke RINOs (Republicans In Name Only).
Eric Schmitt, the state’s current Attorney General, has spent the last few months fraudulently posturing as a Trump-aligned Republican. Although he has lost every lawsuit he filed in his desperate attempt to get President Trump’s attention, he has frequently made headlines. I can see why some Republicans have been conned into believing he is a conservative.
However, as we saw last week, it was all a facade. Schmitt--who sat idly by all last summer while Missouri burned, stores were looted, and peaceful protestors were beaten--inexplicably defunded a law enforcement effort targeting violent crimes like murder, rape, and assault by pulling nearly a dozen state prosecutors off the joint task force known as Safer Streets.

The author is a liar. By law McCloskey and his wife had to give up those particular guns because they were evidence in a criminal trial. Hey, you may not like that law but it is the law and they had to comply. They did not surrender their 2nd Amendment rights, in fact the very next day he McCloskey and his wife posted pics of him buying a new AR-15. Personally, I expect a lot more honesty from a Newsmax report even if it is an opinion piece. This was a sad commentary from a Newsmax writer, in fact he’s doing the same thing leftist fake journalists do.
Will the weapons be returned if charges are dropped?
Didn’t the McCloskeys cop to a misdemeanor or something last week?
What are the other choices?
They gave the guns up as part of a plea deal.
Then they went out and bought new guns.
Hate to break it to you, but everything on newsmax is an opinion piece.
Only differences between newsmax and msnbc is the political bias direction and size of audience.
Thank you. I thought it was odd that they surrendered the weapons only to buy new ones.
Will the weapons be returned if charges are dropped?
Come on man, are you joking around or what.
The charges were not dropped, the defendents pleaded guilty, thus your question is moot.
The author is a liar.
Come on! Read the WHOLE article! McCloskey’s a phony cashing in on his 15 minutes. A senate seat is a bit too much.
Perhaps the Gov. should run for the senate and Greitens for Gov. again-play it safe. That senate seat is more valuable. Gretitens is still young and should keep his nose clean.
I don’t know whats in the man’s heart or the kind of person he is but I am not going to make a judgement as to what his motivations or goals are based upon a lying Newsmax article about him. The claim you make is a presumption at best.
I prefer to have a bit more evidence before I make a judgement on the man and his motives. I will not lower my standards of evidence and believability to the level of the left.
I don’t know how good or bad a week it was for these two, but it probably wasn’t a bad week for Erik Greitens.
Greitens was a Dem who switched and behaved abominably when it mattered. I know that if he is the Rep candidate, the Dems will win, especially if the opponent is female. I have always voted R but will sit it out if Greitens is the best we can do.

Motivations or goals? Come on!(again) Make a judgement on his track record! BLM supporter-no fight in him. So how will he take on the Democrats? We’re talking past each other.
The weapons were destroyed hence them buying new ones.
Go ahead and sit out, Make your prediction right. Greitens did none of the things he was accused of, except someone else’s wife.
Republicans like the current Governor and Lt Governor could have stopped this in the Leg but did not. Therefore, I urge them to serve out their current terms and retire with our “thanks”.
