We’re hearing horrific stories of side effects, not just from the COVID Vaccine, but simply from being around people who have gotten the shot. Is there a second-hand smoke effect, not for the injectees, but for those in close contact with them? Social media is reverberating with multiple stories of people, women in particular, who are getting unusual side effects from just being around people who have been injected. There seems to be something in the injections that carries over to people in close contact, including unusual vaginal bleeding in women, even among those who are post-menopausal, and even miscarriages...

The United States government is assessing reports of a leak at a Chinese nuclear power plant, after warnings of an "imminent radiological threat" by a French company that helps operate it, CNN reported on Monday. Framatome, the French construction engineering company, sent a letter to the US Department of Energy warning that the Chinese safety authority was raising the acceptable limits for radiation detection outside the Taishan Nuclear Power Plant in the Chinese Guangdong province in order to avoid needing to shut it down, according to the report. The letter warned that the nuclear reactor is leaking fission gas, adding...

As of Saturday, the Murphy Administration had DELETED 45,352 Covid-19 cases going back March 1, 2020 according to our friend @AWokeZombie. In New Jersey, case numbers more than any other indicator were used to lock down your kids, schools/camps, businesses, restaurants, jobs, vacations, friend’s weddings, family funerals, etc. Other states primarily leaned on measures like spot positivity and/or the effective reproduction number. Not Trenton. Cases were king. – To put things in perspective, the number of deleted cases is now roughly equivelent to the population of South Brunswick (Middlesex County) or Evesham Township (Burlington County). That’s a shit ton of...

Endgame, Set, Match It’s common knowledge, at this point, that artificial intelligence will soon be capable of outworking humans — if not entirely outmoding them — in plenty of areas. How much we’ll be outworked and outmoded, and on what scale, is still up for debate. But in a new interview published by The Guardian over the weekend, Nobel Prize winner Daniel Kahneman had a fairly hot take on the matter: In the battle between AI and humans, he said, it’s going to be an absolute blowout — and humans are going to get creamed. “Clearly AI is going to...

The Code 9 Project, preventing PTSD and suicide during PTSD awareness monthJune is PTSD awareness month. A national nonprofit organization is educating and training professional front-line workers, veterans and their families on preventing PTSD and suicide. "The wear and tear is real, and if they aren't receiving the training and the resources to prevent a breakdown and injury like PTSD or aren't receiving the resources and the support, things like suicide happen. And that's just not OK with our organization," said Brandielee Baker, founder and president of The Code 9 Project. Advertisement Brandielee Baker is a former first responder, PTSD...

In recent years, orange wine-wine made with white grapes that have contact with their skins during production-has emerged as a trendy alternative to the usual red versus white debate in a similar vein to rosé. And whether you're personally turned onto orange wine or not, here's a sign that at least one wine professional thinks the trend has staying power: A permanent store dedicated exclusively to orange wine is opening in Manhattan. Beyond her credentials as an orange wine expert and natural wine sommelier who's worked at places like the Michelin-starred restaurants Aska and Aldea, Doreen Winkler has also proven...

Two GOP lawmakers announced Monday that they have filed a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of fines issued against them for failing to complete security screenings to enter the House chamber. Republican Reps. Louie Gohmert (Texas) and Andrew Clyde (Ga.) both tried to appeal the fines — which are $5,000 for the first offense and $10,000 for the second — earlier this year before the House Ethics Committee but were unsuccessful. The lawmakers argued that the fines amount to "a means of harassing democratically-elected representatives who are members of the opposition party in the House of Representatives." In their lawsuit filed...

All 19 workers at a fast food restaurant in Pakistan were detained after refusing to give a group of police officers free burgers last week. Staff at the chain Johnny & Jugnu in Lahore were rounded up at 0100 (2000 GMT) on Saturday and held overnight. "This is not the first time something like this has happened" a statement by the burger chain said. Nine police officers involved in the incident have now been suspended. Senior provincial police official Inam Ghani announced the suspensions on Twitter, saying: "No one is allowed to take the law into his own hands. Injustice...

The biophysical modeling study, published in The Lancet Planetary Health, challenges outdated public health guidance that discourages fan use in temperatures higher than 35 degrees Celsius / 95 degrees Fahrenheit. Based on human studies carried out at the University of Sydney's Thermal Ergonomics Laboratory, the researchers developed a model to determine the humidity-dependent temperature thresholds at which fans could become detrimental, providing conditions that exacerbate heat stress. "The effectiveness of a fan depends on temperature and relative humidity and our previous human studies have shown that it is only when the air temperature is very high and humidity is extremely...

Just curious if anyone else listens to the Markley, van Camp and Robbins talk radio program. I've been listening to them during the past year. Their ability to discuss current events while injecting some humor during these bleak times has been appealing. I don't think they consider themselves to conservative ideologues but they are right-of-center with some libertarian leanings, perhaps. They describe themselves are just regular guys "trying to make sense of it all" and that's how their show comes across to me. Just curious what you guys think. You can hear their program here at: https://www.markleyvancamprobbins.com/category/markley-van-camp-robbins/

One woman is dead after a man drove into a crowd of protesters late Sunday night in Minneapolis. The suspect is in custody, according to the city's police department. Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that the proposed end to all Chinese coronavirus-related restrictions in England has been postponed from June 21st to July 19th. During a press conference on Monday evening, Prime Minister Johnson said that due to the spread of the Indian variant, the related rise of intensive care cases in hospitals, and sectors of the adult population still not being vaccinated, “we’ve faced a very difficult choice”.

A court in Moscow has ruled that Alexey Navalny and the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK) he heads are "dangerous extremists" and placed them in the same "terrorist" category as ISIS and the Taliban. Navalny is currently in jail while other members of FBK have gone underground or fled the country. Russia's criminalization of political opponents was sharply criticized by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken who characterized it as "despotic and tyrannical." Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov dismissed Blinken's comments, calling them "ironic. The Biden Administration's position on political opposition is the same as ours. President Biden himself declared...

Rep. Ilhan Omar is taking flak from all sides: now she’s even offended Hamas. The terror group on Saturday condemned the Minnesota Democrat’s explosive tweet that compared the US and Israel to Hamas and the Taliban — drawing the ire of both Democrats and Republicans this week. Omar “equated between the victim and the executioner,” Basem Naim of Hamas’ International Relations Office complained in a statement that took issue with her Monday post on Twitter. “it is unacceptable to make such an unfair comparison, which contradicts with basic norms of justice and international law,” Naim continued in a missive first...

Research Highlights: Analysis of three large, well-known heart disease studies found drinking one or more cups of caffeinated coffee was associated with decreased heart failure risk. Drinking decaffeinated coffee did not have the same benefit and may be associated with an increased risk for heart failure. There is not yet enough clear evidence to recommend increasing coffee consumption to decrease risk of heart disease with the same strength and certainty as stopping smoking, losing weight or exercising. ================================================================================== Dietary information from three large, well-known heart disease studies suggests drinking one or more cups of caffeinated coffee may reduce heart failure...

Swiss voters rejected a trio of environmental proposals on Sunday, including a new law intended to help the country meet its goal for cutting carbon emissions under the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. A new CO2 law was narrowly rejected, with 51.6% of voters opposing it in a nationwide referendum conducted under the country’s system of direct democracy. The result was a defeat for the Swiss government which supported the new law that included measures such as increasing a surcharge on car fuel and imposing a levy on flight tickets. […] Also rejected was a proposal which would have made...

Ana Navarro said Monday on ABC’s “The View” that Republicans attacking CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin for his “masturbation scandal” had “no moral standing” if they support former President Donald Trump. Co-host Sunny Hostin said, “We talk so much about cancel culture, what I like to call accountability culture. Where do you draw the line? The line seems to be constantly shifting depending on the person involved.”

Illegal immigrants have started fires on the Texas ranch and twice tried to break into the house where she and her husband live with three young daughters, Allison Anderson said. In another incident, authorities’ pursuit of unlawful crossers at the U.S.-Mexico border came to a stop on her family’s property, she said. “I was outside feeding our livestock with our daughters when the helicopter and high-speed chase ended on our property,” Anderson said during a town hall meeting June 4 at Grace Church in Del Rio, Texas. “We had to run back to our house. I had to get my...
