Swiss voters rejected a trio of environmental proposals on Sunday, including a new law intended to help the country meet its goal for cutting carbon emissions under the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.

A new CO2 law was narrowly rejected, with 51.6% of voters opposing it in a nationwide referendum conducted under the country’s system of direct democracy.

The result was a defeat for the Swiss government which supported the new law that included measures such as increasing a surcharge on car fuel and imposing a levy on flight tickets. […]

Also rejected was a proposal which would have made Switzerland only the second country in the world to ban artificial pesticides outright, and another proposal to reduce their use by redirecting subsidies to farmers who no longer used the chemicals. …

They will soon be taught that Democracy is too important to be left in the hands of the voters.

How many pollutants can you name, that are essential to life on earth? I can name one: Carbon Dioxide. There can be little or no plant life if there is no CO2. No plants, no animals. No life. Consequently, the designation of CO2 as a pollutant by the Federal Government is a crime against science, against reality.

If excess CO2 is the problem, then perhaps some sanity could be in order by way of clarification. You won’t hear that though, because “Climate Change”, formerly “Global Warming” is the scaremongering fiction that the left and authoritarian politicians have tried to use to take over the world energy economy, and to control the lives of the world population.

I may be preaching to the choir here, but an amazing number of grown adults believe this “Chicken Little” fairy tale, and are perfectly willing to let corrupt leftists destroy the economy to force political subjugation of the American people. The sane citizens of Switzerland seem to get this reality. I wish many of our people were half as wise, as they are nothing but lemmings.

Thinking more of an astounding number than amazing. Which may also apply.
