“Then at the end of the days which the king had specified for presenting them, the commander of the officials presented them before Nebuchadnezzar. And the king talked with them, and out of them all not one was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah; so they entered the king’s personal service. And as for every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king consulted them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and conjurers who were in all his realm” (Daniel 1:18-20). God always equips you for the tasks He requires of you. Daniel and...

The Apostle Paul taught the Colossian church, “For this reason we…do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God” (Colossians 1:9-10, NKJV). What is required for a pleasing walk? Paul tells us, “As the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone...

Trouble is brewing at Yale University for a number of reasons.. Yale University appears to be in the midst of a meltdown. You may find that irrelevant, or even amusing, but you shouldn’t. Because Yale’s sad condition, unfortunately, is common to many of our most important institutions. As I wrote here last week, Yale’s governing board, faced with a challenge by an outsider, secretly rewrote its rules as the votes were counted, so as to ensure no more unapproved candidates. Why is Yale so eager to avoid outside scrutiny? There was also a scandal about a speaker at Yale who...

An illegal alien has been charged with raping a teenage girl on a Martha’s Vineyard ferry in the sanctuary state of Massachusetts. Bruno Sanches De Jesus, a 20-year-old illegal alien, was arrested and charged with two counts of rape this week after allegedly raping an 18-year-old girl on the Steamship Authority ferry that runs from Martha’s Vineyard to Woods Hole, Massachusetts. Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson revealed that De Jesus overstayed his 90-day visa two years ago after arriving in the United States from Portugal. De Jesus, Hodgson said, has been living in Dorchester, Massachusetts since then. “We don’t have...

The U.S. Air Force's (USAF) bomber program, designed to field a replacement for the B-1 Lancer and B-2 Spirit by the late 2020s, is on track. That's a rarity in the world of military hardware procurement. Still, Congress is calling on the service to accelerate the program; USAF isn't budging."Once we get through design and get the first ones delivered, we can adjust production rates and maybe affect them that way, but we have to get through the engineering with solid discipline," Air Force acting acquisition executive Darlene Costello said during a House Armed Services panel on June 8.One major...

Have you heard of the “Magnetic Challenge?” No, it’s not some wacky teenage TikTok challenge, it’s actually much creepier. It all started as a rumor involving a microchipping conspiracy theory that involved the COVID-19 vaccine. It’s no secret that many people are leery about taking the vaccine for a number of reasons, namely because it hasn’t gone through the lengthy trials needed in order to receive FDA approval. However, a lot of folks are also convinced that the COVID-19 vaccine is part of a sinister plot to microchip the masses. One of those conspiracy theories involves “magnetized proteins.” Here’s some...

SFGATE culture editor Dan Gentile squares off against former Olympic fencer James-Andrew Davis. As another trainer pulled a mask over my face, I asked if Davis had any weaknesses. The trainer responded with a dry joke: "He’s British," she said. “People think that it’s slow motion, and it’s actually super fast,” says Massialas. “Your mind has to work a million miles an hour. You’re moving up and down, it’s very intense, you have to make very quick decisions and stay quick under pressure. Most people know that it’s a thinking game, but they don’t understand the speed and intensity.” “It’s...

Beefed-up security came with a hefty price tag at the murder trial of ex-Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin for the death of George Floyd. The Minnesota city’s police department chalked up $2.9 million in overtime during the high-profile trial, which led to Chauvin’s conviction on murder charges, Fox affiliate KMSP-TV reported. The revelation came as Minneapolis police asked the city council at a Wednesday night hearing for $5 million in additional funding to offset spiraling costs, KMSP said.

Legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin has returned to CNN. Toobin, a longtime pundit on the network, had been on leave since October after he exposed himself on a Zoom call with fellow staffers at The New Yorker last year, a publication he had worked at for 27 years. After being suspended from The New Yorker following the incident, Toobin apologized and said he unintentionally exposed himself to his coworkers during a break on the call. "I made an embarrassingly stupid mistake, believing I was off-camera. I apologize to my wife, family, friends and co-workers," Toobin said at the time. "I believed...

Breitbart News sat down to discuss the Second Amendment with Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry and he shared his view “bans against any firearms are ridiculous.” Landry made his statement in the context of explaining his role in seeking to get the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) to defend the Second Amendment by striking down New Jersey’s “high capacity” magazine ban. Breitbart News brought up the coalition of 24 states which AG Landry is leading in hopes of SCOTUS intervention in New Jersey’s ban. AG Landry responded by affirming “bans against any firearm are ridiculous. What makes this...

Homicide rates are rising once again across the country after last year’s spike, and Houston is faring worse than the largest U.S. cities. Four homicides in Houston in the last 24-hours have brought the total this year to 199, a 35% increase over 2020. Compare that to only a 5% increase in homicides so far over last year in Chicago, a 17% increase in New York and a 23% increase in Los Angeles. The total number of homicides is also higher in Houston than in Los Angeles, a city with nearly twice the population. It’s also higher than New York...

An Olympic hopeful has pulled out of Australia's swimming trials for the Tokyo Games, citing "misogynistic perverts" as the reason, Reuters reported on Thursday. Australian swimmer Madeline Groves, a two-time Olympic silver medalist, on Wednesday shared on Instagram that she had pulled out from the Olympic swimming trials in Adelaide, adding on Twitter that it was "a lesson to all misogynistic perverts." "You can no longer exploit young women and girls, body shame or medically gaslight them and then expect them to represent you so you can earn your annual bonus," she wrote, adding: "Time's UP."

Raheem Kassam had this on his Twitter feed. I don't know where this video came from, but I believe it is supposed to be leaked video from the Capitol. If you look at the time stamp, Trump wasn't even done speaking, and those do NOT look like Trump people. And they are refusing to release Capitol video footage. This stinks, badly.

Police were called to the Enbridge Inc. Line 3 pipeline in Minnesota earlier this week after protestors shackled themselves to the equipment being used to modernize and expand the infrastructure, in service since 1968, shipping crude oil from Alberta, Canada, to Midwest U.S. refiners. The protesters, mostly white according to photographs accompanying a Reuters report, said they stand with indigenous people who believe the pipelines are a threat to waterways despite no evidence to back up the claims. In fact, Enbridge puts out an annual safety report detailing spills. In 2020 statistics included seven spills, all on Enbridge property. The...
