White House now working on an exit strategy for Dr. Fauci. His exposed emails now show he covered up from the beginning that the virus was man made in labs he helped fund. His book deal is ugly, Cuomo-ish, pandemic profiteering. Even liberal media burying his emails. — MARK SIMONE (@MarkSimoneNY) June 2, 2021

Angela Holloway has been shopping for her mum Margaret Lincoln and step-dad Donald Lincoln throughout the coronavirus crisis, but usually separates the pet food from the rest of the shopping. That meant the 59-year-old was confused last week when her mum told her they had eaten ‘a really lovely dinner of absolutely gorgeous pâtéand baked bread’. The Sheffield couple, who now live in France, were eating with Angela’s sister Beverly Weston...

or most of last year, the idea that the coronavirus pandemic could have been triggered by a laboratory accident in Wuhan, China, was largely dismissed as a racist conspiracy theory of the alt-right. The Washington Post in early 2020 accused Senator Tom Cotton of "fanning the embers of a conspiracy theory that has been repeatedly debunked by experts." CNN jumped in with "How to debunk coronavirus conspiracy theories and misinformation from friends and family." Most other mainstream outlets, from The New York Times ("fringe theory") to NPR ("Scientists debunk lab accident theory"), were equally dismissive. (Newsweek was an exception, reporting...

Lots of people hate Alex Jones. Granted, he loses his mind live on air often... His style is abrasive and, at times, psychotic. So what? He’s also been right about a lot – often decades before other media figures. For it, he has spent his entire career on the fringes of the fringe “far-right” in the political wilderness Limp, finger-in-the-wind politicians and well-heeled corporate-funded “journalists” could learn something about passion and conviction.... Ill-tempered gadfly; decorum-free monkey wrench; digital pirate ship; choose your metaphor.... Back in the 90s and aughts — when he was just a local nuisance to the Texas...

2020 to many of us seemed a year of impossibility. It was infinitely stranger than we all could have believed. But 2021 may be beyond 2020. Using bromine, chlorine, and iodine anions, researchers found a new way to conduct hydrogen ions through a crystal structure at high speed even at temperatures as low as 200?. Credit: Mindy Takamiya/Kyoto University iCeMS ==================================================================== Researchers at Kyoto University's Institute for Cell-Material Sciences (iCeMS) have developed a new approach to speed up hydrogen atoms moving through a crystal lattice structure at lower temperatures. They reported their findings in the journal Science Advances. "Improving hydrogen transport in solids could lead to more sustainable sources of energy," says Hiroshi Kageyama of iCeMS who led the study. Negatively charged hydrogen 'anions' can move...

Colleges and universities used to proclaim that their mission was to give students a broad education that would expand their intellectual vistas—one that would open their minds. Most still say that, but the sad truth is that what passes for higher education these days often does the opposite. Many professors and some whole academic fields instill in students the habits of mind that betoken fundamentalism rather than free inquiry. They want students to conform to their views and rebuke them for disagreeing or even asking the wrong questions. The growing problem of fundamentalist thinking is the focus of Minds Wide...

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., shared two words in response to news of unearthed emails from Dr. Anthony Fauci. Thousands of emails obtained by Buzzfeed News and hundreds more reviewed by The Washington Post through Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests show Fauci's responses to both critiques and high praise as he worked to communicate the dangers of COVID-19 to the U.S. as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. "Told you," Paul wrote in a Tuesday tweet with the hashtag #firefauci. He added in another tweet: "Can’t wait to see the media try to spin the Fauci...
