COVID-19 may negatively affect sperm quality and reduce fertility in men, and the magnitude of that effect may depend on the severity of disease, researchers reported. “Little is known about the virus-host interaction of COVID-19 in sperm cells,” Behzad Hajizadeh Maleki, a doctoral student and research assistant in the department of psychology and sports science at Justus Liebig University in Germany, and Bakhtyar Tartibian, PhD, of the physical education and sports science department at Urmia University in Iran, wrote in in the journal Reproduction. “We are the first to address the connection between changes in multiple seminal biomarkers and reproductive...

The Club for Growth launched an ad Tuesday featuring West Virginians urging Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) to “stick to your guns” and keep the Senate’s filibuster. The ads will run on broadcast in the Charleston and Bluefield market area and on Fox News and CNN in Charleston, Bluefield, Clarksburg, Wheeling, Pittsburgh, and Parkersburg. WASHINGTON, D.C.—An intercepted transmission that appears to be from the year 2739 shows footage of Dr. Anthony Fauci -- or rather, just his head, which has been preserved in a jar. In the video from the future, Fauci says it's still not safe to go outside, go to movie theaters, or eat indoors. "Honestly, even if you've been immunized and are quadruple-masking, per current recommendations, I don't think I would risk it," he said. "Although we eradicated the virus some seven centuries ago, we can't be too careful. We must remain vigilant." "If we let up even a little bit,...

I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase, “Get Woke, Go Broke.” In the curious case of Coca-Cola, going woke may be the single biggest branding mistake in the history of marketing. In late February a whistleblower came forth with screenshots, posted on YouTube, of slides from Coke’s internal ‘diversity training’ course urging its employees to quote, “Be less white.” And by ‘less white’ they mean subservient. They don’t mean be more sensitive. When this happened, I immediately said to myself, “Scratch ever buying another Coke product off my list.” Not a moment’s angst or energy went into it. “Be less white?”...

The Height of BLM Hypocrisy Getting rich off of race-bait burning, looting, and murdering. The political fortunes of Democrat politicians, most notably ( Joe Biden and Kamala Harris) and their legislative branch parrots, ( Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi, are built on identity constituency deceit.) ( Race-hustling) has proven to be their most successful identity game in the last decade, and it has paid rich political dividends.

K-12 Redesign: Achievement Instead of Time [Editor’s Note: Other articles in the K-12 Redesign series: Perfect Time for a K-12 Redesign, A Financial Overhaul, School Calendar]The U.S. K-12 education system is based on time, not student achievement. Too many students exit the system logging the required time but not meeting learning proficiencies. A redesign that promotes students based on their competency, not the school calendar, is urgently needed. The flawed system utilizes time as the constant and achievement as the variable — students progress from one unit to the next based on teacher lesson plans and due dates instead of...

The issues discussed by Biden and Putin included "the intent of the United States and Russia to pursue a strategic stability dialogue on a range of arms control and emerging security issues, building on the extension of the New START Treaty," according to a statement issued by the White House. During a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, US President Joe Biden invited him to hold a meeting "in a third country". "President Biden reaffirmed his goal of building a stable and predictable relationship with Russia consistent with U.S. interests, and proposed a summit meeting in a third country...

Of all of the ignorant takes after the police shooting of Daunte Wright, who resisted arrest in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, the most ridiculous may have come from Michigan Democrat Rep. Rashida Tlaib. The representative used the shooting of the 20-year-old to call for an end to policing which is, likely but it is tough to tell with all of the insane things Democrats often say, the most asinine thing we have ever heard.

President Biden will withdraw all American troops from Afghanistan over the coming months, people familiar with the plans said, completing the military exit by the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks that first drew the United States into its longest war. The decision, which Biden is expected to announce on Wednesday, will keep thousands of U.S. forces in the country beyond the May 1 exit deadline that the Trump administration negotiated last year with the Taliban, according to one person familiar with the matter, who like others spoke on condition of anonymity to describe plans that are not...

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Some pharmaceutical companies are pushing to make the COVID-19 vaccine eligible for kids between ages 12 and 15. “I think vaccinating children will give parents an added level of security to kind of start moving back towards normal,” said Dr. Jennifer Nayak, associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC). Two physicians at the University of Rochester Medical Center are backing the data released, as Pfizer looks for the FDA to grant emergency use authorization for children. “We don’t want them to skip steps, nobody does, we want them to go through the...

Prime Minister Boris Johnson claimed on Tuesday that Britain’s success in driving down coronavirus deaths and hospitalizations came as a result of the draconian lockdowns imposed on the country and not the massive vaccination push. Speaking to reporters at 10 Downing Street, Mr Johnson said that while the vaccination programme has “helped” in slowing the spread of the Chinese virus, he said that “the bulk of the work in reducing the disease has been done by the lockdown.”

The consumer price index rose 0.6% from the previous month but 2.6% from the same period a year ago. The year-over-year gain is the highest since August 2018 and was well above the 1.7% recorded in February. The index was projected to rise 0.5% on a monthly basis and 2.5% from March 2020, according to Dow Jones estimates. Gasoline prices were the biggest contributor to the monthly gain, surging 9.1% in March and responsible for about half the overall CPI increase. Gasoline is up 22.5% from a year ago, part of a 13.2% increase in energy prices. Food nudged higher...

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch today released a transcript of the March 24 oral argument before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit challenging a lower court ruling upholding the secrecy of controversial secretly-issued congressional subpoenas for phone records by Rep. Adam Schiff, Chairman of the U.S. House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, relating to the impeachment of President Trump. The appeals court hearing came after a lower court ruling in the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit , Judicial Watch v. v Adam Schiff and U.S. House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (No. 1:19-03790)), requesting...

Of all the potential Republican presidential contenders for 2024, CNN's John Berman seems to have singled out Nikki Haley for special opprobrium. Who knows whether it's out of conviction, or a sense that Haley might pose the biggest electoral threat to President Biden—or, as the case may be—to Kamala Harris, who shares Indian-American heritage with Haley? Berman's beef with Haley is over what he has described as her flip-flopping. In a February Politico article, Haley was sharply critical of President Trump. But yesterday, Haley declarated she would not run for president in 2024 if Trump does. Haley also mentioned that...

UK gov’t. predicts ‘third wave’ of COVID deaths ‘dominated’ by those who are vaccinatedLONDON, April 12, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — In official documents released by the U.K. government, models for the planned “third wave” of COVID-19 predicted that any hospitalizations and deaths would be “dominated” by people who had already been vaccinated. On March 31, the U.K. Scientific Pandemic Influenza Group on Modelling, Operational sub-group (SPI-M-O), released the latest document containing modeling predictions about the effect that the gradual easing of restrictions would have on the spread of infection, and subsequent hospitalizations and deaths. In the U.S., a Miami physician died following complications of immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) after his first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. ITP is a rare autoimmune condition in which the body generates autoantibodies to its own platelets, resulting in low platelet counts, blood clots, and bleeding if the platelet count drops very low. About 50,000 adults are diagnosed with ITP in the U.S. per year. Risk is increased in young women and people with other autoimmune conditions. In a case series, James Bussel, MD, and colleagues reviewed 20 reports of thrombocytopenia after receipt of the Pfizer and Moderna...

If you’ve ever worried a bear might be after your picnic basket, you may want to take the hardest, hilliest trail to your destination. That’s the take-home message of a new study, in which researchers got nine bears to run on treadmills—a first for science—and found that they, like their laziest human counterparts, prefer flat paths to save energy. The study, scientists say, may help explain why bears are often found around popular hiking trails. Grizzly bears (Ursus arctos horribilis) need to stock up on energy before they slip into winter hibernation. As opportunistic omnivores, they eat just about anything—berries,...

Donald Trump is speaking out against packing the Supreme Court with more justices as some liberals want, suggesting it would a fitting punishment for a court that failed to seriously consider his election challenges. Trump also goes after Joe Biden directly for his new commission to “reform” the highest court in the land, which obviously means advocating that it should be packed with radical new justices.
