Big business, the right wing, and now the courts have rung the bell on what is now the fourth round of the fight to expel socialists from Seattle City Hall. The corporate elite are determined to do so by hook or by crook. They failed in the first three rounds to buy this city council seat, the last time with unprecedented corporate cash from Amazon. The latest effort, a right-wing recall campaign, is perhaps the most serious threat so far, seeking now to use the courts and four trumped-up charges to overturn my reelection last year. It’s not for nothing....

Campbell County is a First Amendment Sanctuary, according to a resolution the Board of Supervisors (BOS) unanimously passed at a regular meeting on Tuesday. “No Campbell County funds will be used to restrict the First Amendment,” the resolution states. “[No] County funds shall be expended to aid federal or state agencies in the restriction of said rights,” the resolution adds. The document is a version of a no-shutdown resolution similar to one authored by the Virginia Constitutional Conservatives (VCC). However, the Campbell resolution has removed language requiring local authorities to arrest state authorities enforcing Governor Ralph Northam’s executive orders mandating...

Rick Wilson spent his career working for Republicans who are not conservative. Believing Biden won the election, Wilson is celebrating Trump supporters’ downfall. Like other traitors before him, though, Wilson may discover his future is worse than the futures of those he betrayed. NeverTrumpers are peculiar animals. For the entirety of their careers, whether they were politicians, campaign apparatchiks, think tank employees, or writers, they profitably pretended to be conservatives. They always talked a good talk when hustling for votes or money. However, once in power (or sucking up to power) they approached politics as soft leftists. I think of...

There are no dictionaries of sustainability's Newspeak. Its mavens rely less on new words than on perverting or reversing the meaning of old ones. By Peter Foster December 2, 2020 George Orwell pointed out that one of the first casualties of socialism is language. The damage is not collateral; it is deliberate—designed to numb minds and render critical thought difficult or impossible. The instrument of this dumbing down in Nineteen Eighty-Four was Newspeak, the official language of the English Socialist Party (Ingsoc). Newspeak was a sort of Totalitarian Esperanto that sought gradually to diminish the range of what was thinkable...

The Democrat campaign to steal Georgia would not be successful without the tacit cooperation of the Republicans. The saga of the 2020 Georgia General Election continues as late Sunday night, Judge Timothy Batten impounded all Dominion Voting Machines (DVM) in the state of Georgia for ten days. Many Republicans feel betrayed by Governor Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger’s certification of the vote. Not all Republicans are as forthright as President Trump, who openly declared when talking to reporters on Thanksgiving Day that Raffensperger “got played” by Democrat powerhouse Stacey Abrams. Is this true? Did Secretary of State...

Using myriad facts, Trump described the election fraud that undercut the American political system and asked Biden to join his demand for an investigation. President Trump appeared before the American people on Wednesday to give what he described as “the most important speech I’ve ever made.” Cleverly, he’d already ensured a large audience by teasing in the past few days that he might be giving up. Leftists tuned in to see him resign; his supporters tuned in praying that he wouldn’t. His supporters left happy for Trump, twice using charts, detailed just some of the massive election fraud and promised...

Hundreds of protesters gathered outside a Staten Island bar a day after it was shut down and one of its owners arrested for publicly declaring itself an "autonomous zone" and not adhering to New York's COVID-19 measures. The crowd stopped traffic outside Mac's Public House in Grant City Wednesday night, demanding it be allowed to open for business. Throughout the day and well into the night, sheriff's deputies stood outside the entrance of the bar, which was shut down after it insisted on continuing indoor food and drink service - leading to too many cease and desist orders and fines...

Since becoming the head of the Catholic Church in 2013, Pope Francis has not shied away from the political domain. On Sunday, the religious leader used the COVID-19 pandemic to renew his criticisms of free-market capitalism. In a video message he sent to the International Conference of judges members of the Committee for Social Rights in Africa and America, Pope Francis said that the right to private property is “a secondary natural right derived from that which everyone has”, which in turn arises from the “universal destiny of created goods” and affirmed that “the Christian tradition never recognized as absolute...

PHOENIX (AP) — County election officials agreed Wednesday to expand their inspection of certain ballots in metro Phoenix that are being challenged in a Republican lawsuit that seeks to reverse Joe Biden’s victory in the state. Arizona Republican Party Chairwoman Kelli Ward, who filed a lawsuit contesting the election results, is looking for irregularities among the nearly 28,000 ballots in Maricopa County that were duplicated by elections officials because voters’ earlier ballots were damaged or couldn’t be tabulated. She requested a broader examination of the ballots after a court-ordered inspection of 100 duplicated ballots on Tuesday found two instances in...

PRINCE Harry has suggested Covid is punishment from Mother Nature as he urged everyone to "be a raindrop" and repair the Earth. The Duke of Sussex made the claim as he launched a new Netflix-style streaming platform for climate documentaries - adding that he'd also questioned having children as the world will be "on fire" when they grow up. ... He urged people to be “like raindrops” in order to “relieve the parched ground”, and said the best way to tackle climate change is with action, not words.

CNN Host Fareed Zakaria and an adviser to Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign attended the recent Understanding China Conference, which counted Chinese Communist Party leader Xi Jinping and high-level apparatchiks in attendance. The conference, themed “Huge Shake-up, Big Test, Great Cooperation: China’s New Journey toward Modernization and Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind,” argued for increased cooperation between the Chinese Communist Party and the broader world. Featuring nearly 20 Chinese speakers – all boasting high-level involvement with the Chinese Communist Party – the conference depends on Western figures to grant legitimacy to the event. Zakaria, who hosts...

Covid-19 has devastated small businesses nationwide, and New York’s entrepreneurs and landlords have been particularly hard hit. In response, Governor Andrew Cuomo has awarded millions of dollars to affected small businesses through the New York Forward Loan Fund. But to get these taxpayer-funded loans, it helps to be a minority-owned business, as designated by the state, because Cuomo’s office has announced that it will be “focusing on” Covid relief for minority- and women-owned firms. Relief was welcome news for those receiving grants, but small-business owners unable to obtain aid may feel like they have been shunned because of their race....

The Trump campaign on Wednesday unveiled a tranche of information it plans to present to a Nevada state court Thursday that suggests there were thousands of fraudulent votes cast — possibly enough to overturn Joe Biden’s win there by 33,569 votes. Officials said that among the evidence and expert testimony to be presented in Carson City are indications that over 1,500 ballots were cast by dead voters, that 42,248 people voted “multiple times,” data on a huge spike in incomplete voter registrations, and home addresses in temporary RV camps and casinos. They also plan to present polling that 1% of...

It’s just the flu, bro. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/ I am not accepting the numbers above showing Coronavirus deaths skyrocketing. I refuse to accept that any disease is that serious with an average age of death over 80. Deadly diseases kill all ages. Diseases that kill primarily people over 80 can be relabeled as “old age” for cause of death. https://www.economist.com/graphic-detail/2020/07/15/tracking-covid-19-excess-deaths-across-countries This has a table that is updated frequently that shows Covid deaths and excess deaths in various countries. There are still many countries with very few excess deaths. This whole thing is difficult to parse out - how many excess deaths are...

[Transcript] This may be the most important speech I’ve ever made. I want to provide an update on our ongoing efforts to expose the tremendous voter fraud and irregularities which took place during the ridiculously long November 3rd elections. We used to have what was called, election day. Now we have election days, weeks, and months, and lots of bad things happened during this ridiculous period of time, especially when you have to prove almost nothing to exercise our greatest privilege, the right to vote. As President, I have no higher duty to defend the laws and the Constitution of...

WASHINGTON - Increasingly detached from reality, President Donald Trump stood before a White House lectern and delivered a 46-minute diatribe against the election results that produced a win for Democrat Joe Biden, unspooling one misstatement after another to back his baseless claim that he really won. Trump called his address, released Wednesday only on social media and delivered in front of no audience, perhaps “the most important speech” of his presidency. But it was largely a recycling of the same litany of misinformation and unsubstantiated allegations of voter fraud that he has been making for the past month. Trump, who...

WUHAN, China - In the early days in Wuhan, the first city first struck by the virus, getting a COVID test was so difficult that residents compared it to winning the lottery. Throughout the Chinese city in January, thousands of people waited in hours-long lines for hospitals, sometimes next to corpses lying in hallways. But most couldn’t get the test they needed to be admitted as patients. The widespread test shortages and problems at a time when the virus could have been slowed were caused largely by secrecy and cronyism at China’s top disease control agency, an Associated Press investigation...
