WASHINGTON - Increasingly detached from reality, President Donald Trump stood before a White House lectern and delivered a 46-minute diatribe against the election results that produced a win for Democrat Joe Biden, unspooling one misstatement after another to back his baseless claim that he really won.
Trump called his address, released Wednesday only on social media and delivered in front of no audience, perhaps “the most important speech” of his presidency. But it was largely a recycling of the same litany of misinformation and unsubstantiated allegations of voter fraud that he has been making for the past month.
Trump, who spoke from the Diplomatic Reception Room, kept up his futile pushback against the election even as state after state certifies its results .
Trump’s remarks raised questions about how far he may be willing to go in his campaign to overturn Biden’s win, including whether he might press Republicans in Congress to block certification of the vote, a move that’s been floated by the president’s allies.
“This is not just about honoring the votes of 74 million Americans who voted for me,” Trump said. “It’s about ensuring that Americans can have faith in this election. And in all future elections.”
In fact, his baseless claims are having the opposite effect - undermining public faith in the integrity of U.S. elections.
Julian Zelizer, a professor of political history at Princeton University, said the nation has seen close elections before - 1800, 1876 and, most recently, 2000. But this year’s election does not fit in that category.
“This is just a random baseless attack on the entire election,” Zelizer said. “Trump has no turning point. I often say there are parallels or precedents, but there aren’t in this case. He keeps bending norms.”

The enemy one of many
It takes some chutzpah to ignore the days of undisputed testimony regarding vote fraud and to call it baseless.
They’re amazing.
I didn’t see THIS one coming. Ha
The astonishing blatantly of the media lies is amazing. “Unsubstantiated?!” Anyone eith the intelligence of an earthworm can see the hundreds of thousands of fake votes (one need only read the affidavits). The mass media needs a thorough cleanup!
“Robust safeguards help ensure the integrity of elections and results.”
So there it is. Nothing to see here, folks, move along.
Pravda working overtime to churn out their propaganda.
When Trump wins tge ap will have a black eye forever.
They think if they repeat “unsubstantiated” around a lot it will actually be true.
How do we counter the AP, MSN, CNN, et al? I say we need to go old school and distribute handbills, political cartoons, Thomas Paine type flyers, USE graffiti on liberal buildings, wave signs with slogans as we march. We need street action now.
Amazing? You’re too kind...I’d say depraved.

--------- The AP is completely useless as actual news. But a great source of partisan drivel.
Nobody on the left can define what would be enough “evidence” to convince them the election had votes switched by bad actors using software forks.
We need to confront Aamer Madhani and Kevin Freking of AP and tattoo some evidence on them.
So … telling the public that the fraudulent election was a fraudulent election is making a lot of people think that the election was fraudulent? I don't see the problem.
The fact that the MSM mentions it is a crack...some will be curious. Keep dripping.
The Maoist Cultural Revolution proceeds unabated.
There appears to be no reliable sources of truth in any reporting agencies/MSM left. It is all propaganda to support the ongoing coup and hide from the people what is actually happening.
Well of course because the AP has access to more intelligence and information at its disposal than the President of the United States.
