WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. House of Representatives passed legislation on Wednesday that could prevent Chinese companies from listing their shares on U.S. exchanges unless they adhere to U.S. auditing standards. The measure passed by unanimous voice vote, after passing the Senate earlier this year, sending it to the White House which said President Donald Trump is expected to sign it into law. “The Holding Foreign Companies Accountable Act” bars securities of foreign companies from being listed on any U.S. exchange if they have failed to comply with the U.S. Public Accounting Oversight Board’s audits for three years in a...

A large gang of heavily armed bank robbers invaded the Brazilian city of Cameta just one day after a similar force struck another mid-sized city on the opposite side of the country, taking residents hostage as they looted a bank. Video on social media showed a line of roughly a dozen hostages being led away from a square in Cameta, a city of 140,000 people, and shots ringing out in the night. Local media reported that a military police station was attacked, preventing officers from responding. The coordinated attack came a day after a similar overnight robbery of a Bank...

Some years ago, my best friend from childhood visited me for the first time in Israel. The son of a French Jewish mother who had moved to America early in World War II, he’d been raised Jewish and hated every aspect of it. Completing our tour of Yad Vashem, the Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem, I asked him whether any of his French family had perished in the Holocaust. He didn’t know but agreed to submit the question to the database. The printout he received showed that not only had his grandfather, who had supposedly died of natural causes in Paris,...

...Bill Clinton denied that he had ever been on the island. Not only that, but he tried to downplay the number of times he’d been on Epstein’s plane. Clinton’s spokesperson said he’d only taken “4 trips” without explaining that within the “four trips,” he’d been on the plane over 25 times, and that’s just according to the records that were made public. But now, Doug Band, one of the people closest to Bill Clinton over the years, first as his body man and then as the guy working on his post-presidency lucrative endeavors, has dropped a big bombshell on those...

Stacey Abrams’ voter registration group, The New Georgia Project, is one of three such organizations now under investigation by the Georgia Secretary of State amid concerns that certain voting rights groups were “seeking to ‘aggressively’ register ‘ineligible, out-of-state, or deceased voters’ before the state’s Jan. 5 Senate runoff election,” according to Fox News. Abrams’ group, as well as America Votes and Vote Forward, are largely credited with putting Georgia in play for Democrats in the 2020 presidential election. Abrams even recently credited her own efforts to register Georgia voters and fight what she termed “voter suppression” with helping to secure...

CNN was on the receiving end of a fair share of mockery following an “exclusive” report in which documents were discovered showing China downplayed their coronavirus numbers and lied about the origins of the pandemic. The ‘breakthrough’ reporting involved information President Trump has been explaining to the American people for ten months, yet was ridiculed by the mainstream media. He was even called xenophobic for daring to blame China for mishandling the outbreak. ... Viewers were quick to jump all over CNN for reporting what was already widely known by anybody with a working set of eyes and ears. “CNN...

The U.S. Department of Justice, the FBI, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, and six other federal law enforcement agencies announced the completion of the third annual Money Mule Initiative, a coordinated operation to disrupt the networks through which transnational fraudsters move the proceeds of their crimes. Money mules are individuals who assist fraudsters by receiving money from victims of fraud and forwarding it to the fraud organizers, many of whom are located abroad. Some money mules know they are assisting fraudsters, but others are unaware that their actions enable fraudsters’ efforts to swindle money from consumers, businesses, and government unemployment...

Some of the largest American companies — including Apple, Nike, and Coca-Cola — are actively lobbying the U.S. Congress to weaken legislation that would bar the import of products made with Uighur forced labor in Xinjiang province, China. These corporations are opposing the bipartisan Uighur Forced Labor Prevention Act, which passed the House of Representatives 406-3 in September and is now under consideration in the U.S. Senate. The goal of the bill is to ensure “that goods made with forced labor in the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China do not enter the United States market.”Since Beijing...

ATLANTA — Attorneys Sidney Powell and Lin Wood held a press conference in Georgia on Wednesday, where Powell told the crowd not to vote in the upcoming Senate runoff election, a message that directly contrasts with President Donald Trump’s call for Georgians to turn out to vote for Republican Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue. Powell, who is not affiliated with Trump’s legal team, told a crowd of supporters, “I think I would encourage all Georgians to make it known that you will not vote at all until your vote is secure, and I mean that regardless of party.” Powell’s...

It's been pretty depressing of late. Two days ago Saudi granted Israel permission to use Saudi airspace. There was a time when the media would have said "This is a big effin deal." No more, because it was Trump who got it done. Now we're going to see that get screwed up. Witness after witness testifies to voting irregularities in many states, from voting machines being connected to the internet to truck drivers testifying that they transported completed ballots from New York to Pennsylvania. Servers under court orders were wiped and moved. Poll watchers were thrown out of polling stations....

When the legislators, courts and/or Congress fail to do their duty under the 12th Amendment, you must be ready Mr. President to immediately declare a limited form of Martial Law, and temporarily suspend the Constitution and civilian control of these federal elections, for the sole purpose of having the military oversee a national re-vote,' according to the text, written byTom Zawistowski, who heads the Ohio Tea Party-affiliated group. It points to President Abraham Lincoln's suspension of habeas corpus during the Civil War as an example. 'A vote that assures a fair election in every jurisdiction and reflects the true will...

A Michigan-based Christian-owned funeral home has agreed to pay $250,000, as part of a legal settlement, to the estate of trans-identified individual that the company fired. RG & GR Harris Funeral Homes reached a settlement on Monday with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the estate of the late Anthony Stephens, who went by the name Aimee, over a lawsuit originally filed in 2014 when Stephens was still alive. At issue was Harris’ decision to fire Stephens, a biological male, who began dressing as a woman and underwent gender transition to become Aimee. The funeral home had cited their...

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Glucosamine, an amino sugar and natural compound found in cartilage, is often used as a dietary supplement. Now, an eye-catching new study from West Virginia University is reporting glucosamine supplements may actually reduce one’s risk of cardiovascular-related death — and death in general for that matter — just as much as a regular exercise routine. Considering how essential regular exercise is, these findings are sure to raise an eyebrow or two. “Does this mean that if you get off work at five o’clock one day, you should just skip the gym, take a glucosamine pill and go...

In the early hours of November 4th, 2020, Democratic candidate Joe Biden received several major “vote spikes” that substantially — and decisively — improved his electoral position in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Georgia. Much skepticism and uncertainty surrounds these “vote spikes.” Critics point to suspicious vote counting practices, extreme differences between the two major candidates’ vote counts, and the timing of the vote updates, among other factors, to cast doubt on the legitimacy of some of these spikes. While data analysis cannot on its own demonstrate fraud or systemic issues, it can point us to statistically anomalous cases that invite further...

Explanation: Who's watching who? The featured image of the Moon through a gap in a wall of rock may appear like a giant eye looking back at you. Although, in late October, it took only a single exposure to capture this visual double, it also took a lot of planning. The photographic goal was achieved by precise timing -- needed for a nearly full moon to appear through the eye-shaped arch, by precise locating -- needed for the angular size of the Moon to fit iconically inside the rock arch, and by good luck -- needed for a clear sky...

Attorney Alan Gordon from Chenango County, New York, told a state Supreme Court Justice on Tuesday that the county found 55 uncounted ballots for the 22nd Congressional District, adding a variable to an extremely close race. In the district, Republican candidate Claudia Tenney led by 12 votes over Democrat incumbent Anthony Brindisi. The newly found votes may decide the result of the election. Gordon said election officials found 44 valid ballots, with 11 ballots not cast by registered voters. He’s advised the county’s Board of Elections to secure the ballots and keep them unopened in their offices. Gordon told syracuse.com...
