Recipients of PPP loans have filed for bankruptcy after the money ran out.At least a Half Billion in PPP Loans Won't Be Repaid Hundreds of companies employing 23,400 people went Bankrupt after PPP Funds Ran Out.The total number of companies that failed despite getting PPP loans is likely far higher. The Journal only analyzed the big borrowers from the program, which accounted for about half of the overall loans though only about 13.5% of the total participants. And many small businesses simply liquidate when they run out of cash rather than file for bankruptcy. The SBA has only released data on...

With US Treasury yields capped around 0.90% amid concerns that in the absence of fiscal stimulus the Fed will need to step in with more easing (either in the form of extending QE maturities, or an outright expansion in QE), China is facing a different set of challenges and following the recent rout in the bond market following several unprecedented SOE defaults, overnight the Chinese 10Y yield rose another 2bps to 3.36%, and almost 90bps from the all time low of 2.48% hit in April. As a result, the premium for China’s 10-year government bonds over U.S. Treasuries of same duration...

When we were kids on the playground and there was an angry dispute, someone would always shout "majority rules." And we'd vote. If the losers didn't like the outcome, there were two options: punch the winners in the stomach or take the ball and go home. It worked on our playgrounds because a punch in the stomach isn't the end of the world, exactly. You could punch a kid, or he could punch you, and half an hour later you could both ride your bikes to a convenience store for a Slurpee. You could always find a ball somewhere. There...

The Luzerne County Board of Elections has finished the adjudication of ballots cast in the Nov. 3 general election. The election board’s next step is the certification of election results — but one board member says she will not sign off on that until she receives assurances the results add up. “I have concerns about the integrity of the election,” board member Joyce Dombroski-Gebhardt said. “There are issues that are troubling.” The election board spent two weeks reviewing and adjudicating ballots. That process finished Tuesday, with the county vote total standing at 154,134, which represents a 69.8% turnout of the...

Since Election Day, three distinct concerns have called into question the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election: fraud, the security of voting machines and software, and violations of state election codes. A series of court cases filed by President Donald Trump and his voters seek judicial intervention to true the vote, but with limited success.Republican legislators in several swing states have also requested the secretary of state audit the results before they are certified. As the recount in Georgia is proving, however, allowing election officials to oversee the process is providing no more confidence in the outcome. There is a solution...

Susan Voyles, a Georgia poll worker with 20 years of experience, said in a sworn affidavit Tuesday that she noticed something strange about a batch of ballots that overwhelmingly favored Joe Biden, leading her to believe “additional absentee ballots had been added in a fraudulent manner.”The observation came when she was serving as an auditor in the recount at the Fulton County Sandy Springs poll station.“For our first assignment, we were given a cardboard box that contained only absentee ballots,” she wrote. “It was taped shut with packing tape with the seal of the Secretary of State. But the seal...

The Swedish COVID-19 statistics, as published by Worldometer, suggest that COVID is simultaneously becoming more communicable and less deadly. To see the latest, check out the Daily New Cases and the Daily Deaths on the Worldometer webpage for Sweden. Daily New Cases are rising, suggesting that the disease is getting more communicable. Meanwhile, Daily New Deaths are falling, suggesting that the disease is getting less deadly. These results are not surprising to those who know about The Evolution of Virulence (PDF) in infectious diseases. Viruses, not having DNA, do not reproduce themselves as precisely as do higher organisms. As a result,...

Being president is pretty much the same as being a magician. You’ve seen magicians who wave a magic wand and can make an elephant disappear? Well, presidents can wave a magic pen and make tens of billions of dollars in cash disappear. The only difference is presidents don’t usually wear a pointy hat.In the last decade or so, presidents have become experts at the disappearing money trick. They’ve also gotten very good at making money magically appear. Maybe instead of an election, we should hold auditions for the best magician in the country. As most of us were taught when we were...

U.S. President Donald Trump may withdraw nearly all U.S. forces from Somalia in the near future, U.S. officials allegedly said on Tuesday. “The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said nothing had been finalized and that no orders for Somalia have been received by the U.S. military. But there appeared to be a growing expectation that drawdown orders would be coming soon,” Reuters reported. The U.S currently has roughly 700 troops stationed in Somalia to assist local forces in their efforts to defeat the Al Qaeda-linked Al Shabaab terror group.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan has demanded that black people and other ethnic minorities receive priority access to the Chinese coronavirus vaccine. The leftist Mayor claimed that so-called BAME (Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic) groups are disproportionally affected by the virus, and therefore should be placed at the top of the list when the vaccine is distributed. Speaking to BBC Radio on Monday evening, Mr Khan said: “The NHS and Public Health England are working up criteria for who gets the vaccine first. Basically speaking, it’s done by age.

The United States should reopen itself to migration, amnesties, refugee inflows, asylum seekers, and more temporary contract workers, Mexico’s ambassador to the United States said Tuesday. The U.S. immigration system “has to be based on facts and realities,” Ambassador Martha Bárcena Coqui told a forum arranged by the National Immigration Forum (NIF). She continued: ‘The facts and realities is the need to protect the most vulnerable, the need to keep open the generosity towards refugees, the need to recognize the complementarity of labor markets and demographic profiles, the need for temporary workers in the United States.” The United States should...

The past week brought further evidence of how deep and wide the propaganda war is on ordinary Americans. Trump supporters converged on Washington, D.C., last Saturday for the “Million MAGA March.” The crowd was enormous, but -- like so much else these days -- it is nearly impossible to get accurate information about how many people were there. White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany tweeted out that it was “more than one MILLION” people, which seems highly unlikely. Yet, the major media -- predictably -- went in the opposite direction, downplaying the event to one that only thousands attended. How...

Joe Biden’s plan to tax gun owners for the right to keep and bear arms could reach as high as $34 billion, according to an analysis by the Washington Free Beacon. On the campaign trail, Biden made several promises relating to guns that he is going to have a hard time getting through Congress. Assigning liability for gun deaths to manufacturers is only the tip of the iceberg. Biden’s far-reaching program would drive online gun retailers out of business, which would include retailers selling gun supplies. It would force owners of AR-15s and other similar weapons to either sell them or...

Ramsland states: These systems contain a large number of vulnerabilities .. . These vulnerabilities are well known, and experts in the field have written extensively about them. 1) "Based on the significant anomalies and red flags that we have observed, we believe there is a significant probability that election results have been manipulated within the Dominion/Premier system in Michigan." 2) Atrium County 6,000 vote glitch "The problem most likely did occur due to a glitch where an update file didn't properly synchronize the ballot barcode generation and reading portions of the system. If that is indeed the case, there is...

Sidney Powell, attorney extraordinaire, appeared on Newsmax’s Greg Kelly Reports on Tuesday to explain what happened on election day and tell why she believes that Trump almost certainly got more votes than any president in American history. Because Greg Kelly asks the intelligent, clarifying questions that we wish all journalists would ask, her appearance on his show is one of the best explanations of what happened with the Dominion Voting Software.According to Powell, “Dominion has a long history of rigging elections. That’s what it was created to do to begin with.” Powell told about her whistleblower, a former high-ranking Venezuelan...

Washington -- On Nov. 7, Joe Biden stepped up to the mic somewhere beyond the confines of his basement and solemnly declared, "Let this grim era of demonization in America begin to end here and now." He was not talking about President Donald Trump's referring to him as "Sleepy Joe." Nor was he rebuking the president for joking about his repeated confusion over where he was when he delivered his latest address. Was it from Tulsa, Oklahoma, or from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, or was he still in his basement? Joe was calling for an end to everyone's foul language and blood-curdling...
