A powerful earthquake has struck off Turkey's Aegean coast, north of the Greek island of Samos, officials said. The 7.0 magnitude tremor, about 17km (11 miles) off the coast of western Izmir province, was felt as far away as Athens and Istanbul, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said. There was no word on casualties but images from the Turkish city of Izmir showed buildings that had collapsed. An earthquake that struck Izmir in 1999 killed about 17,000 people. Reports said Friday's quake was also felt on the Greek island of Crete. Video on social media showed people searching through the...

Large groups of young people in fancy dress drank alcohol and chanted near police vehicles on the streets of Nottingham last night - hours before the toughest coronavirus restrictions were imposed on the city. The gatherings came despite police warning that they would have "no hesitation" in fining those who deliberately flout the rules. Nottingham officially moved into Tier 3 at 12.01am today, and new rules will include a ban on buying alcohol from shops after 9pm. Some of the youngsters appeared to be celebrating Halloween two days early. A few police vehicles were present in the city centre, as...

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz pleaded with residents on Monday not to attend crowded political rallies because of a spike in COVID-19 cases a week before the 2020 presidential election. The state recorded more than 1,500 positive COVID-19 cases on Monday and reached a record high for Minnesota of 2,290 cases on Oct. 16 as the state increases its testing capabilities. "I’m asking once again -- in fact, pleading," Walz said during a press call. "Just Google the candidate you want to hear speak, and then go vote. We want people to be enthusiastic about their candidates but it’s not a...

A new USA Today poll finds that 75% of the American people are concerned about post-election street violence. – Golly, and just who would be perpetrating said violence? Wouldn’t that be the leftwing radicals in Antifa and BLM, 100% of whom are Biden supporters? Yes, yes it would be exactly those people. Wal-Mart reports record sales of ammunition this week as ordinary Americans prepare to protect their homes and families. Those are the Trump supporters, by the way. This really is not complicated, folks. It’s not hard. Business owners in the central districts of Washington, DC, New York City, Chicago,...

(Reuters) - Two men have been charged with explosives offenses over a suspected plot to use civil unrest over the police shooting of a Black man as cover to rob cash machines, Pennsylvania state Attorney General Josh Shapiro said. The driver and passenger of a van were arrested on Wednesday with dynamite, a propane tank torch, a Taser and tools including electric drills, bolt cutters and machetes, Shapiro said in a statement late on Thursday. “The explosives and tools recovered in the van are commonly used to attempt to dismantle and steal proceeds from ATMs (automated teller machines). There have...

Note to Joe: When you’re bitching about the size of the other guy’s crowd, you’re behind. – Creepy Uncle Quid Pro China Traitor Joe Biden is so concerned about the size and number of Trump rallies that yesterday he accused the President and his rallies of being “super-spreader events” for the China Virus. That accusation comes without a shred of evidence of being true, of course, but no U.S. media outlet would dare to point that truth out. Because objective truth is anathema to our Nazi-style media/propaganda establishment these days. But Trump supporters should rejoice in Biden’s complaint, because if...

DES MOINES - When Joe Biden was last in Iowa, his presidential campaign was on the verge of collapse and he was soundly trounced in the caucuses by a former Indiana mayor nearly 40 years his junior. He returns Friday as the Democratic nominee, believing he’s just days away from becoming president-elect. Biden’s trip reflects the growing confidence among Democrats in the closing days of the campaign. Iowa, which Donald Trump won by 9 points in 2016, is among the clutch of GOP-leaning states that Biden is trying to bring back into the Democratic column. The arc of Biden’s rise...

A remarkable percentage of Americans have already voted early in this critical election, pitting against each other a fundamentally Americanist vision of governance and a fundamentally insurrectionist vision of anarchic mayhem. But with election day impending, and with many yet to officially cast their ballots, it is incumbent upon proud patriots to make closing arguments for the greatness of the American regime and the American way of life -- and why both are worth preserving and defending amid their greatest threat since the Civil War. The United States, as it is often said, has continually strived toward an ever-closer fulfillment...

French people will only be allowed to leave their homes for food shopping, medical appointments, pressing family reasons and to commute to work when the job cannot be done from home, Prime Minister Jean Castex announced on Thursday ahead of a new Covid-19 lockdown starting at midnight. The nationwide lockdown will be enforced initially until December 1, though health experts have warned a longer clampdown may be necessary. Detailing the new restrictions, Castex said people will be allowed outside for just one hour of exercise per day and no further than one kilometre from their homes. For every outing, they...

It’s just the flu, bro. No politician is doing anything now to alleviate Coronavirus lockdowns. I guess it is understandable that these politicians might be distracted/risk averse as they try to get themselves re-elected or get Trump re-elected. There had better be action on ending these lockdowns from the GOP next week. - An overdue cudos to Trump - there was no overbearing national pandemic response strategy and I thank Trump for recognizing state responsibilities are different than federal government responsibilities. You can bet Biden, if elected, would have a national strategy and you can bet we won’t like it....

It was the wrong time for 33-year-old Miles Taylor to announce he is the much-celebrated "Anonymous" Trump official who wrote a New York Times op-ed and then a New York Times-bestselling book in which he trashed the president. The announcement came in the last days of the presidential election campaign, as the establishment media are bloviating that they can't rush to cover the New York Post's evidence about Hunter Biden because they have such high standards for confirming facts. None of them had such a standard when they gushed over Captain Anonymous in September 2018. No one needed to know...

Well, this has been dwelling in the back of my mind, and it finally surfaced. With Hunter Biden's approaching those overseas energy companies for compensation without doing any real work other than the promise of Biden influence, and now Joe Biden in the final running for President, it all came together. Joe is committing to get the U.S. out of the carbon-based energy business - eliminating the competition of all those countries/companies which Hunter and the Biden family has been in bed with. The U.S. right now is the no. 1 oil producing country in the world, and Joe wants to...

In just a few days Americans will go to the polls. For whom should Christians vote? This election is vitally important to you and future generations. There is a side that is openly supportive to Christians and the church. However, there is also a strong political movement that blatantly hates God and Christians. They ridicule Christians as racist, backward unscientific, judgmental and unsophisticated. They tell us that we need to change and update our doctrine to conform to their views about homosexuality, Islam, abortion and tax-payer funding for contraception. They approve of abortion even till after birth. They desire to...

The vast majority of Arizona voters, 93 percent, said they have “made up their minds whom they’re going to vote for.” Trump edges out Biden in this...

On a Thursday morning conference call, Big Ten presidents discussed an exemption request from Nebraska to allow the Cornhuskers to replace Saturday’s canceled football game against Wisconsin with a non-league opponent, the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. It got zero traction, league sources told Yahoo Sports. There was no need for even a show of hands, let alone an actual vote. No one was in favor of granting it. The league’s previously agreed-upon rules — conference games only — was reaffirmed. Also reaffirmed was the belief around the Big Ten that Nebraska, even after nine years of membership, remains a difficult philosophical...

Source: Official White House Photo by Shealah CraigheadMichael Anton wrote a seminal essay for the Claremont Review of Books in September 2016 titled “The Flight 93 Election,” which went viral, particularly among conservatives. It was a wonderfully crafted metaphor, suggesting that the survival of America as a viable republic depended on the against-all-odds election of an outsider to the D.C. swamp by the name of Donald J. Trump. Although it was a gamble as to whether this brash businessman with no government experience could effectively lead the country, the alternative of a Hillary Clinton election was a guaranteed death sentence...

Pictured smiling just weeks before massacring three people at a Catholic church in Nice, this is the face of terrorist killer Brahim Aoussaoui as he entered mainland Europe. The picture was taken by authorities in the Italian port city of Bari, where Aoussaoui was taken ashore on October 8 having spent 20 days in coronavirus quarantine - first on the island of Lampedusa, where he landed on September 20, and then on board the Italian quarantine ship Rhapsody. The ship, carrying some 800 migrants, had been moored off the coast of Bari for 15 days where fellow migrants say Aoussaoui...

Election day is almost here. Some things will end, like incessant campaign commercials, much to the relief of voters on both sides of the aisle. Other things will continue, including protests and riots, as we are seeing in Philadelphia, and as Kamala Harris promised. Despite more than five years of slings and arrows hurled at President Trump, to derail his campaign, transition, and administration, Trump has a spring in his step. Not just when he is dancing to YMCA song at the end of each rally, but in his entire demeanor. He is cool, confident, and on top of his...
