Election day is almost here. Some things will end, like incessant campaign commercials, much to the relief of voters on both sides of the aisle. Other things will continue, including protests and riots, as we are seeing in Philadelphia, and as Kamala Harris promised.
Despite more than five years of slings and arrows hurled at President Trump, to derail his campaign, transition, and administration, Trump has a spring in his step. Not just when he is dancing to YMCA song at the end of each rally, but in his entire demeanor.
He is cool, confident, and on top of his game, unlike his opponent Joe Biden, who is frequently bumbling and incoherent. Whether he forgets Mitt Romneys name, thinks he is running for Senate, or calls his current opponent George, his campaign does not radiate confidence or assurance. Even Democrat operatives, media cranks or campaign consultants, are starting to panic.
Trump has the momentum, what I prefer to call Trumpmentum, a healthy dose of mojo in the final week of the campaign. Trump has choreographed October as carefully as the finale of a season of The Apprentice, complete with mystery, fun, and engagement of his supporters to a degree not seen in recent political memory.
Start with the polls, wrong four years ago and likely again wrong this year. Earlier this month, Biden had 16-point lead nationally in a CNN poll. Even Rasmussen, one of the most accurate 2016 pollsters, gave Biden a 12-point lead a few weeks ago. But now its Trumpmentum season, erasing a Biden lead and this week Rasmussen has Trump up by a point over Biden.

An election is like a marathon. It's no use starting strong and fading at the end. You gotta have the stamina to finish strong, peak at the right time. Slow Joe has about as much momentum as a slug. Ole Joe is running on fumes right now. Meanwhile, the Trumpster has all the momentum and stamina. He is going like a rocket ship right now with up to 3 2-hour rallies a day. And that is after covid. Buh bye Bye-Done.

Always been an optimist. All my life. And even now that I am a wizened old geezer, I am still as optimist as ever. Don't remember ever being depressed about anything. Not even when Obama won. Not in my nature.
Having said that, I am realistic. After looking at the early voting figures in FL, NC etc, I am convinced Trump will win. The Dems are simply not performing anywhere close to what the fake news polling models assumed. And Republicans are performing far better than the polling models assumed. Unless there is a miracle on polling day, and hidden Biden voters rise up from the graves, Biden will lose.

One of the things Ive noticed in these late days is Plugs - when he speaks to those sparse crowds or 200 parked cars - he looks angry all of the time. Im assuming part of this is the frustration of his campaign apparently faltering and running out of steam - and of course the Hunter thing.

“up to 3 2-hour rallies a day.”
Soon to be 5 rallies a day.

Slow Joe has about as much momentum as a slug. I watched his Tampa 'rally' yesterday. Incoherent. Rambling. Painful.

Other things will continueLike face diapers, socialist distancing, and if were lucky, a new round of lockdowns.
Anyone who thinks the COVID bullsh*t is going to end, regardless of who wins, is kidding themselves.

I paid a visit to Democrat Underground this morning. They are truly on another planet. They even complain about the media helping Trump!

It may continue in deep blue states.
Deep red states like South Dakota?
Not a chance.

part of this is the frustration of his campaign apparently falteringJoe experienced the wave of enthusiasm for Obama...the contrast with the response to his own campaign is stark...even Joe has to notice.

“Anybody that thinks its BS in the first place is kidding themselves”
I think COVID is real. What I do think is the response to COVID is BS. In the beginning, I was completely on board with the methods we employed — we had no idea how deadly it really was. Now, it is clear this is a very manageable disease and the risk can be mitigated fairly easily. It is not the plague, not “Captain Trips”. If it were so deadly, every grocery store worker would be dead.

I love People's Pundit on YouTube. Guy gives sane "Just the facts Ma'am" data dumps every day. He has great insights on why Trump is in much better shape than even 2016. In a nutshell this AM's call with Robert Barnes(another great Youtuber) is minority young voters(under 25) early voting has not materialized at all. Way underperforming...Biden needed to get north of 15% and he is at 8%. Also, he said Trump is in great shape in Arizona, NC, and WI and PA look solid. MOST of Pa, Trump is doing better than 2016 with a few rare exceptions like OLD(65+) white upper-income voters in the Pittsburgh\Philly area, he is polling slightly lower. Robert Barnes who nailed 2016 said of his 5 markers(enthusiasm, new registrations, early vote numbers, shy Trump voter guesstimates, and incumbency) Trump is hitting all 5 towards re-election.
This will not be 2000 or 1984, but trumps wins all 2016 states a maybe New Hampshire, Minn, NV or NM, and one surprise like maybe Virginia, Co, or Oregon as by 10pm EST word will begin leaking out Biden is toast. I personally think states that were supposed toss-ups are blowouts like Wisconsin and North Carolina. The podcast I listen to said watch Florida and Iowa early. If Trump looks to be blowing out Biden like 3+ points will be north of 330Evs for Trump.

With only four more days to go, the polls are all going to start being more realistic. I think POTUS wins this, and I certainly hope it's called much earlier than it was in 2016.
I don't expect them to call it early, simply because the media knows that they help the democrats on the down-ballot by giving some form of hope that Biden is still in it.
