The benedictory words of Pope Francis for homosexual “families,” in the recent film named after him, and his encyclical “Fratelli tutti” on universal brotherhood, with only 4 timid paragraphs out of 287 dedicated to “Christian identity,” have prompted Professor Pietro De Marco to make a comprehensive critical evaluation of the current pontificate. On the genesis and effects of the pope’s words from the film, Settimo Cielo has offered this detailed reconstruction:>...

Kelly Kean Sharp resigned Tuesday from her assistant professorship at Furman University following accusations that she pretended to be non-white, a university spokesman said. An anonymous person outed the African American history scholar through a Medium post, InsideHigherEd reported. The anonymous writer said that he or she “distantly” knew Sharp when Sharp was in graduate school at the University of California, Davis, and that Sharp only recently began identifying as Chicana. Sharp reportedly formerly identified herself as Chicana in her Twitter profile, which has since been removed. The Medium post includes screenshots of Sharp’s tweets showing Sharp referring to her...

Canada Dry settled in court for $200,000 with a B.C. man who claimed the company falsely advertised its ginger content to have medicinal properties. Most of the $200,000 will be going to a legal foundation. The plaintiff, Victor Cardoso, started a class action lawsuit on Jan. 21, 2019, on behalf of all Canadians outside of Quebec, arguing that Canada Dry’s label was misleading. This came after similar lawsuits were filed in the U.S. Shortly afterward, two similar cases popped up in Quebec and Alberta. Cardoso alleged that the marketing of the ginger ale as “Made from Real Ginger” was deceptive...

Malaysia's former prime minister today said that Muslims have the right 'to kill millions of French people', shortly after a knife-wielding Islamist killed three people in a deadly terror attack in Nice. Mahathir Mohamad, who lost power in February this year, said freedom of expression does not include 'insulting other people' as fury over satirical cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed sweeps the Islamic world. The 95-year-old politician said he did not approve of the beheading of a French school teacher for sharing caricatures of the Prophet, but said: 'Irrespective of the religion professed, angry people kill'. 'The French in the...

A couple of days ago there was a big Fox News dustup between Rudy Giuliani and Lisa 'Kennedy' Montgomery when she first compared him to Christopher Steele then said she was grossed out by his Borat scene. Giuliani blew up, told her to come over to his office, examine the documents for herself then apologize for comparing him to a criminal that created a phony dossier for the Clinton campaign. Kennedy promised that she would come over with her staff and look for herself. I haven't seen any followup on that yet. Does anyone know if she kept her promise?

Someone I know who is a member of the police auxiliary has been told to "stand by" / vote ASAP / not plan on going out of town for the next week / alert his regular employer that he may not be available because there is a high degree of probability that he will called upon to assist the regular police with expected unrest next week. What are you hearing from the people you know who are regular, aux, or retired police and or military?

Spotify has defended allowing Infowars conspiracy theorist Alex Jones to appear as a guest on Joe Rogan's podcast, saying it won't censor conservative voices just because some may not agree with them. In a memo to staff, Horacio Gutierrez, the company’s chief legal officer and head of global affairs, said that the platform would not ban people from going on others' shows just because staff may not agree with their views. 'Spotify has always been a place for creative expressions. It’s important to have diverse voices and points of view on our platform. 'We are not going to ban specific...

America is five days away from the presidential election, and the NBC and CBS morning news shows censored an astounding recovery in U.S. GDP growth. The ABC morning news show coverage of the news was a weak micro-mention. The Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) released it’s long-expected third quarter GDP estimates at 8:30 a.m., and the results were jaw-dropping. Actual GDP growth in the third quarter was 7.4 percent, which the New York Post said was a “record-setting rebound.” That is an understatement. On an annualized basis, the GDP growth went from falling an atrocious 31.4 percent in the second...

Publication by the New York Post two weeks ago of emails from Hunter Biden's laptop, relating to Vice President Joe Biden's work in Ukraine, and subsequent articles from other outlets concerning the Biden family's pursuit of business opportunities in China, provoked extraordinary efforts by a de facto union of media outlets, Silicon Valley giants and the intelligence community to suppress these stories. One outcome is that the Biden campaign concluded, rationally, that there is no need for the front-running presidential candidate to address even the most basic and relevant questions raised by these materials. Rather than condemn Biden for ignoring...

This Sunday, Nov. 2, will mark the end of daylight saving time for 2020. I am pleased to share that, finally, serious legislative considerations — in several states — are underway in the quest to end the biannual rituals of changing from standard time to daylight saving time (DST). During the last 3 years, 13 states enacted legislation to provide for year-round daylight saving time if Congress were to allow such a change and, in some cases, if surrounding states would enact the same legislation, according to the website of the National Conference of State Legislatures. Full-time DST is not...

[snip] Aside from a handful of news outlets, most of the press has downplayed, blacked out, or attacked this story, with many simply regurgitating -- or not challenging -- the Biden campaign's claim that the whole controversy is a product of Russian disinformation. This assertion has literally zero basis in established fact, yet it's the official position of Team Biden, and has been parroted by journalists. Lefty writer Matthew Taibbi, who has been highly critical of the media in recent years, (is aghast:)

The Biden Family wants America to believe that they are the typical hard working American family, but nothing could be further from the truth. Joe Biden said his son Hunter had done “nothing but good things his whole lifeâ€Â per the Daily Mail in a report on Valentine’s day earlier this year:  Last month, Hunter Biden agreed to pay child support to an Arkansas woman, Lunden Roberts, who was a stripper at a Washington, DC, club that he frequented. In November, DNA testing proved Biden, 49, as the father of Roberts’ child, after she filed a paternity suit in May 2019 in...

Here’s one you definitely don’t hear every day; a police officer in the Philippines died during a raid on an illegal cockfighting event when one of the roosters with a blade attached to its leg attacked the cop and caused a fatal wound. The incident transpired Tuesday, Fox reports, while police were attempting to shut down the illegal cockfight being held in Northern Samar. Cockfighting is actually legal in the region on Sundays and on certain holidays, however due to COVID, all events have been outlawed for the entire year. Officials reported that Lieutenant Christian Bolok encountered the rooster while...

Jay Cutler is endorsing President Donald Trump. The former Chicago Bears player, 37, reposted golfer Jack Nicklaus’s letter in support of Trump that described how “disappointed” he had become at the criticism the current president has faced and captioned it, “Never a doubt.” “He has delivered on his promises. He’s worked for the average person,” Nicklaus wrote in his letter. “In my opinion, he has been more diverse than any President I have seen and has tried to help people from all walks of life—equally.”

Here’s what Democrat governors previously said about President Trump’s outstanding support in helping them with the coronavirus— while Biden was hiding out in his basement eating oatmeal. https://t.co/GLTCcxL5YI— Mark R. Levin (@marklevinshow) October 29, 2020 The media will never give President Trump credit for his handling of this global pandemic. The people who know the truth about what he accomplished are the Democrat governors who worked with him. The Trump campaign postponed a rally scheduled to take place in North Carolina on Thursday evening, citing weather conditions.
