Trumptillas, or Trump-themed flotillas, have cruised the nation’s waterways in force for months, earning wide attention. But it’s not just the organized parades. There’s a sense that Trump owns the ocean. Boats with Trump flags are A Thing. Boat flags for former Vice President Joe Biden, say those who spend a lot of time on the water, not so much. If you’ve seen one of the Trump boat parades, then you know, it is a lot of boats. There are even more flags. If one Trump flag on a seafaring vessel is good, it would appear 10 flags on a...

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden's predecessor Hillary Clinton was better placed than him in polls for Pennsylvania and Michigan—two states she narrowly lost to President Donald Trump in 2016—at the same point in her campaign While Clinton won the popular vote, she lost in the Electoral College with narrow defeats in states which had previously voted Democrat contributing to this defeat. In Michigan, she lost by little more than 10,000 votes, around 0.3 percent of those cast, while in Pennsylvania, Trump secured around 44,000 more votes than her, around 0.7 percent of the state's total ballots, according to New York...

If you’d have asked me even six months ago what the chances of the United States being on the verge of a civil war I would have said probably under 1%. Today I think that number is much closer to 25% and maybe even higher. Why is that? Simple. Democrats, media and academia… I grew up on the Navy base on Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. It was a small base but there were a million things to do. Horseback riding, year round sports, a bowling alley, four pools that I can remember, game rooms, gyms, motocross, hiking, scuba diving, surfing,...

he George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum opened seven years ago and anchors the southeastern corner of campus at Southern Methodist University, where I teach history. In late November 2016, I took a tour of the facility with five college friends who were visiting from the East Coast. The recent presidential election was much on our minds as we wandered through the building, contemplating various artifacts from Bush’s two terms in office. Although we were hardly fans of his presidency, one of my pals—fearful, like everyone in our group, of a Trump administration—got misty-eyed when reflecting upon Bush’s obvious...

Grosskreutz was among three people shot on the third night of protests after Kenosha police shot a Black man, Jacob Blake, seven times in the back. The two other victims of the Aug. 25 triple shooting, Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber, did not survive. The shooter, Kyle Rittenhouse, 17, of Antioch, Ill, considered himself a citizen soldier. That evening, armed with an AR-15, he told several people he had traveled to Kenosha to help protect life and property. Rittenhouse has been charged with five felonies including first-degree intentional homicide. His lead attorney, John M. Pierce of the law firm Pierce...

Jesus tells the church, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you” (Matthew 5:10-12). Why does the world hate the true church, its pastors and parishioners? A true Christian is loving, peaceful, forgiving and caring. Those who obey Jesus’ words are self-sacrificing, meek and kind. Common wisdom tells us...

Is Donald Trump summoning his inner Richard Nixon? One could draw that conclusion from the Trump administration’s recent announcement that it is withdrawing 2,000 U.S. troops from Iraq – more than one-third of the total deployed – which follows a similar statement on the exit of one-third of some 36,000 troops from Germany. That, in turn, followed announced troop withdrawals from Afghanistan in June, reductions from Syria, ongoing threats to remove U.S. troops from South Korea and implied threats to Japan as well if Tokyo doesn’t contribute more to the U.S. presence there of some 50,000 troops.

Robert H. Shmerling, MD Senior Faculty Editor, Harvard Health Publishing Do you know your BMI? Increasingly, people know theirs, just as they know their cholesterol. If you don’t know your BMI, you can use a BMI calculator available online, including this one at Harvard Health Publishing. All you need is your height and weight. Or, you can calculate it yourself, using this formula: BMI = (Weight in Pounds x 703) / (Height in inches x Height in inches). So, now that you know your BMI, is it worth knowing? What are you going to do with it? What your BMI...

CONWAY, Ark. — The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has filed suit against The Kroger Company for violating federal civil rights law in that an Arkansas location allegedly fired two employees who sought religious accommodations not to wear an apron with a rainbow heart on the bib, symbolizing homosexual and bisexual pride. “Although [Lawson and Rickerd] personally hold no animosity toward the individuals who comprise the LGBTQ community, the practices of that community violate [their] sincerely held religious belief,” the lawsuit states, according to the Miami Herald. “[Lawson and Rickerd] believed wearing the logo showed [their] advocacy of the...

A recently leaked phone call between then-Vice President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko directly after the 2016 presidential election shows that Biden sought to sabotage the incoming Trump administration before Donald Trump even took office, and much worse. During the course of the call, Biden badmouthed the incoming administration, saying, “The truth of the matter is that the incoming administration doesn’t know a great deal about [Ukraine]” and that they were unprepared for the transition. This in itself is inappropriate, but it was meant to set the stage for Biden’s next statement and future plans.

Colin Kaepernick is right about one thing—the NFL’s new social justice messaging campaign is best described as “propaganda.†Kaepernick’s dissatisfaction with the league’s explicitly pro-Kaepernick efforts, however, should be a major lesson for other woke capitalists. Absolutely nothing short of dismantling the capitalist system will satisfy their detractors.Corporations can go to great lengths to mollify critics, but those critics will never be pleased because their worldview is ultimately rooted in radical anti-capitalism. Mark Cuban, for instance, should recognize that Kaepernick and the leaders of Black Lives Matter do not see him or Roger Goodell as allies, no matter how...

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden admitted that while he believes that he would have the legal authority as president to implement a nationwide mask mandate, he “can’t guarantee you that yet.” Speaking to reporters Wednesday in Wilmington, Del., the former vice president remarked that “there is a question” that he believed “can be answered in the positive” over “whether I can mandate over state lines that every single state has to comply.” Biden made the comments after being asked by a CNN reporter how he would implement a national mask mandate. “Our legal team thinks I can do that, based...
