My relative in California has been registered for many years. She voted in 2018. She just checked, and her registration is deleted. And CA normally never deletes registrations. At least in CA, your registration includes party affiliation, which means they can selectively unregister Republicans. To check your status in CA, scroll down to your county at the following web page: https://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/registration-status

There is deep irony as a conspiracy theory is demonized but used as an all encompassing conspiracy theory for the left. In the race for the vacated US House seat for District 14 there is some high drama in a race that had been considered a likely GOP hold. Democrat candidate Kevin Van Ausdal has pulled out of the contest as a result of divorce proceedings. He is no longer able to live in his home and is likely moving out of the state entirely, making him ineligible for the office. What is telling is that CNN saw some weakness...

The Chinese government intentionally manufactured and released the COVID-19 virus that led to mass shutdowns and deaths across the world, a top virologist and whistleblower told Fox News host Tucker Carlson Tuesday. Carlson specifically asked Dr. Li-Meng Yan whether she believed the Chinese communist party released the virus "on purpose." "Yes, of course, it's intentionally," she responded on "Tucker Carlson Tonight." Yan said more evidence would be released but pointed to her own high-ranking position at a World Health Organization reference lab as a reason to trust her allegation. "I work[ed] in the WHO reference lab which is the top...

Mayor London Breed on Monday introduced the Abundant Birth Project, which will give a basic income supplement to 150 Black and Pacific Islander women during pregnancy. They’ll get $1,000 a month through their pregnancy and for the first six months postpartum, “with a goal of eventually providing a supplement for up to two years post-pregnancy,” the mayor announced. “Providing guaranteed income support to mothers during pregnancy is an innovative and equitable approach that will ease some of the financial stress that all too often keeps women from being able to put their health first,” Breed said in a statement. “The...

9. What will I do with people who aren’t willing to go along with my revolution? Walter Williams once said that he doesn’t mind if communists want to be communists. He minds that they want him to be a communist, too. Would you allow people to try capitalist experiments in your socialist paradise? Or socialist experiments in your capitalist paradise (Families, incidentally, are socialist enterprises that run by the principle “from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.”)? Am I willing to allow dissenters to advocate my overthrow, or do I need to crush dissent and...

This pains me to admit...but quite frankly I'm reluctant to donate to the Trump campaign. Donations are public record, and I'm afraid of retribution. I'm just wondering whether anyone else shares this same reluctance.

The first native Korean Catholic priest, Andrew Kim Taegon, was martyred for his faith on this date in 1846. Catholicism had begun making inroads in Korea from the late 18th century, a development most unwelcome for the Confucian Joseon dynasty. Catholic adherents graduated over the decades of the 19th century to heavier and heavier degrees of persecution. By 1866, the peak of anti-Catholic sentiment, it’s thought that Korea’s Catholic community numbered about 20,000 living souls — and had lost about 10,000 others to martyrdom. Andrew’s father was one of these 10,000. The son, and the principal figure of this post,...

In Trump’s first term, his commitment to extricate America from the forever wars went unrealized, due in part to the resistance of hawks Trump himself appointed to carry out his foreign policy agenda. Clearly, , with the cuts in troops in Germany, Iraq and Afghanistan, and the appointments of Ruger and Macgregor, Trump has signaled a new resolve to reconfigure U.S. foreign policy in an “America First” direction, if he wins a second term. Will he follow through? Since the end of the Cold War, the U.S. has been in an extended argument with itself over America’s role, America’s mission...

The Florida Surf Museum in Cocoa Beach put it this way Sunday on its Facebook page, where Jack Roland Murphy had published so many recollections from his fabled surfing days: “Jack ‘Murf the Surf’ Murphy — surfing pioneer, jewel thief, convicted murderer, who spent the rest of his life ministering the word of Jesus in prisons across the world — has passed away. We will post more details when we get them ...” Murphy was 83. He and his wife had been living in the Citrus County community of Crystal River.

Reposted from a friends site, with a few minor edits. While these are not entirely my thoughts, there's very good insight here as to how a lot of Americans are feeling these days - especially people who are not heavily in to discussing politics on a frequent basis. ____________________________ Dear Liberals: If you are a liberal who can’t stand Trump, and cannot possibly fathom why conservatives would ever vote for him let me finally fill you in. It’s not that we love Donald Trump so much. It’s that we can’t stand you. And we will do whatever it takes —...

European airlines on Tuesday urged national capitals to coordinate measures to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus, saying the current patchwork of restrictions is hobbling a return to regular travel around the EU. The hurdles have included “chaotic border restrictions along with confusion about quarantines, varying passenger locator forms and test requirements,” Airlines For Europe (A4E) director Thomas Reynaert said in a press conference held by video. To overcome the piecemeal measures, A4E urged a “common approach”, backing calls from the European Commission for a central color-coded map of areas in the bloc where the virus risk, is high...

One day after Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), the Democratic vice presidential running mate to former Vice President Joe Biden, referred to what “a Harris administration” will do, Biden himself has the same gaffe. Speaking at a veterans’ roundtable discussion in Tampa Bay, Fla., the Democratic presidential nominee said, “Harris/Biden administration is going to relaunch that effort and keep pushing further to make it easier for military spouses and veterans to find meaningful careers to ensure teachers know how to support military children in their classrooms and to improve support for military caregivers and survivors so much more than we do...

Joe’s Yuge Strategic Misstep Several states have begun releasing reports on voters who have requested vote-by-mail (VBM) ballots. North Carolina, in particular, has begun publishing a daily report here. Lockdowns have driven a surge in demand for mail-in voting. North Carolina’s mail-in requests currently stand at over fourteen times the demand at the same time in 2016. In 2016, Republicans had the advantage, requesting forty percent of all VBM ballots to the Democrats’ thirty-one percent. In 2020, Democrats hold a commanding advantage: having fifty-one percent of all VBMs to the Republicans’ 16 percent. The charts below show the difference:2016 vs....

Los Angeles-area authorities worked Tuesday to apprehend a suspected armed carjacker in a standoff amid suspicions he could be connected to the shooting of two sheriff's deputies over the weekend, according to media Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva told several news outlets that the suspect is not linked to the ambush shooting of two transit deputies in Compton Saturday. However, KNBC-TV reported that multiple law enforcement sources said detectives are increasingly confident the suspect, who led authorities on a car chase Tuesday, is connected. During the chase, the suspect reportedly jumped out of the vehicle and ran into a...

The whistleblower alleges top Department of Homeland Security political appointees told career officials to alter intelligence assessments, but emails and witness to contradict that claim The Trump administration is producing documents and a senior Homeland Security Department witness to undercut allegations made by the latest federal whistleblower to be championed by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff. The developments Tuesday involve a whistleblowing complaint filed by Brian Murphy, Homeland's former head of intelligence, who alleged Trump officials sought to censor or manipulate intelligence for political purposes. According to three officials with direct knowledge, Homeland Security Deputy General Counsel Ian Brekke...

President Donald Trump expects “seven or eight or nine” additional Arab states to sign peace agreements with Israel in the near future, including Saudi Arabia, he announced Tuesday during a White House ceremony. Trump made the comments after formally signing peace agreements between Israel, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain. Known as the Abraham Accords, Trump and its other signatories hope it heralds “a new dawn for peace in the Middle East.” Trump also said that he spoke with the King of Saudi Arabia and expects the country to join the agreement “at the right time,” according Agence France...
