  • WHO Director Accuses Taiwan Of Complicity In Racist Campaign Against Him

I missed this yesterday when it happened. WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told a gathering in Geneva that he had been subjected to months of racist comments and death threats. He claimed the attacks started in Taiwan and that, despite being aware of it, TaiwanÂ’s government did nothing to distance itself from the attacks. Now Taiwan is pushing back on those claims: The Taiwanese Foreign Ministry said the allegations by Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus were groundless and demanded an apology from the United Nations official a day after he told reporters in Geneva that Taiwan has been abetting a campaign...
  • Harris Poll Shows Broad Bipartisan Consensus On China’s Lying About COVID-19 — So Why Does Media Keep Repeating China's Data?

Just where does the blame lie for the COVID-19 pandemic? According to a new Harris poll, few issues have brought such immediate public consensus as this has. More than three-quarters of all Americans, and supermajorities of both parties, lay the blame at Beijing’s feet. The national debate has lagged behind this political consensus, but the national media might be lagging even further behind: Inside the Beltway, Republicans attack Democrats, Joe Biden and the media for not being critical enough of the Chinese Communist Party. Democrats attack President Trump for saying “Chinese virus” and attack any Republicans who blame the...

A kind-hearted pub landlord is delivering pints to residents in his area – but only if they stay inside during the coronavirus pandemic. Posting online, Kelvin Wong explained that normally The Watermead Inn would see a surge in customers as temperatures soar over the Easter weekend. However, due to the pandemic, he said the team had decided to thank locals for their support ‘over the last nine years’ by bringing them a drink at home. Anyone wishing to receive a ‘free cold beer’ just needs to leave a pint glass two metres away from their front door. Kelvin said: ‘No...
  • NY Gov. Cuomo: Good News — We Seem To Be Flattening The Hospitalization Curve

Not great news, but it is good news if the trend holds up. New York has seen a significantly downward trend in hospitalizations, which would suggest that the nation’s hottest COVID-19 spot might be on the way to containing the epidemic. The number hasn’t been this low in nearly a month, NBC News points out: 200 coronavirus patients in New York State were hospitalized Wednesday; lowest amount since March 18."All of this data suggests that we are flattening the curve so far," NY Gov. Cuomo says. pic.twitter.com/Trrnj0PyJC— NBC News (@NBCNews) April 9, 2020 That’s precisely what we’re looking to...

Special faith programming to be carried live by Fox NewsEvangelist Franklin Graham will offer a special Easter morning service from an emergency field hospital in the middle of New York City’s Central Park — a facility donated to the coronavirus relief effort by Samaritan’s Purse, a nonprofit charity long associated with the pastor’s faith outreach. “Because our nation and the world are in crisis, I want to share a message of the unshakable hope found only in Jesus Christ this Sunday,” Mr. Graham said. It is a time of “fear, anxiety and uncertainty” he noted.

In late March, Instacart worker Annaliisa Arambula accepted a grocery order that came with a big tip: $55. The store was just down the street, everything the customer wanted was available, and the order seemed to go off without a hitch. But an hour later, Arambula checked her earnings on the Instacart app and the entire tip was gone, with a message saying the "customer modified the tip post-delivery." She ended up making just $8.95 from Instacart on the order. "I was flabbergasted. I couldn't believe it," Arambula told CNN Business. Demand for grocery delivery is surging amid the Covid-19...

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf on Wednesday signed an order that allows the state to “commandeer” personal protective equipment and ventilators from health care providers and manufacturers, and transfer the supplies to another facility in need as Pennsylvania prepares for an “imminent surge” in coronavirus cases. Wolf said Wednesday the order will allow the state to move “key equipment” to high population areas that have been greatly impacted, as well as to areas with lower populations that “don’t have existing resources.”

King David lived a thousand years before the coming of Jesus, the Messiah, of which He was an anti-type. The Spirit of Messiah gave him this prophecy of the Cross to foretell the sufferings of Messiah and the glory that shall follow. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? O my God, I cry in the day time, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.(Psalm 22:1-2)WHY? The Righteous sufferer cries out, in a state of utter dereliction. Abandoned...

In promoting national vote-by-mail legislation, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her caucus of radical House Democrats are following the advice of Rahm Emanuel, who famously said while Obama chief of staff, “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that [is] it’s an opportunity to do things that you think you could not do before.” Pelosi recently announced that she will try to insert the controversial election measure into the next stimulus package, which is supposed to focus on helping our country overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.

A federal judge in Waco has dismissed 13 civil rights lawsuits filed by 45 bikers arrested after the May 2015 shootout at Twin Peaks in Waco, a ruling that suggests more dismissals will be coming. U.S. Judge Alan Albright, in a 13-page order issued Monday, dismissed civil rights claims against the city of Waco, McLennan County, former District Attorney Abel Reyna, former Waco Police Chief Brent Stroman and a handful of other Waco and Texas Department of Public Safety officers. The 45 plaintiffs were among 192 bikers who were arrested and among 155 who were indicted in the Sunday noon-hour...

Following news of socialist hero Bernie Sanders suspending his campaign for the Democrat nomination for President, some of his most extreme supporters made their voices heard with explicit calls for violence. As soon as the announcement was made via live-stream, a dedicated segment of his supporters began using the hashtag #GUILLOTINE2020, seemingly advocating for using guillotines to behead their political enemies.

For some reason, I awoke with this song on my mind today. Before my eyes parted, I was listening to the piano introduction. "She's A Rainbow" was recorded in 1967 and released on the Rolling Stones album, "Satanic Majesties Request". It took me a while (years, in fact) to move past that name, one with 'Satanic' in the title. Eventually, I saw it as just a marketing ploy to grab attention from the Beatles' Sargeant Pepper Album. The Beatles album was filled with light ditties and toe-tappers. The Stones wanted to exhibit the other side of that coin. Friendly competition...

Cardi B was a vocal supporter of Bernie Sanders and his bid for the presidency. Now that he’s out of the race, the rapper is calling out her young fans who talked a good game about voting for the Vermont senator, but never actually made it to the polls. “I see a lot of young people on the internet always lying!” Cardi, 27, said. “Y’all young motherf–kers, I’m getting sick of y’all. I’m about to start hanging out with my grandma’s friends, because they vote. Y’all don’t vote, and that s–t is getting me tight.” She continued to call out...

Yeast or no yeast, fresh-baked carbs are the comfort food we all need right now.Along with a temporary shortage of all-purpose flour, eggs, and other important ingredients that go in baked goods, you’ll notice it’s hard to find yeast at the grocery store. It seems that a big part of sheltering in place involves back-to-basics comfort food baking, and homemade bread tops the list. While experienced bread bakers might turn to sourdough starters when they can’t find yeast, we wanted to find a way to get our homemade bread fix without that much work. We turned to Jennifer Tyler Lee,...
