Author, theologian, and preacher John Piper released a new book on Wednesday called Coronavirus and Christ, which offers biblical answers and hope amid the present COVID-19 pandemic. "In the midst of this fear and uncertainty, it is natural to wonder what God is doing," Piper said on his ministry's website. The book's description says: In Coronavirus and Christ, John Piper invites readers around the world to stand on the solid Rock, who is Jesus Christ, in whom our souls can be sustained by the sovereign God who ordains, governs, and reigns over all things to accomplish his wise and good...

* Dr. Anthony Fauci says people who recover from the coronavirus will likely be immune should a second wave of infection spread in the early fall. * He explained that because the virus has not mutated much, people who develop immunity will likely maintain it at least for the next few months. * Preliminary studies about coronavirus immunity and antibodies have shown that most, but not all, recovered patients develop antibodies. Dr. Anthony Fauci offered some insight into crucial questions about coronavirus immunity during an interview on Wednesday. The mayor of Louisville, Kentucky says churches will not be allowed to hold drive-in services on Easter Sunday. Mayor Greg Fischer, a Democrat, said he made his decision with a “heavy heart.” “Our job is to deny the virus,” the mayor told television station WDRB. “If we don’t do that, more lives will be lost. I know it’s tough…I just can’t allow (drive-thru church services) to happen.” The Courier-Journal reports that the mayor wants congregants who “belong to a church that is defying Fischer’s request to contact their minister or the city’s 311 line.” The mayor actually wants Christians to...

Dr. Stephen McColgan, chief medical officer at California-based Vivera Pharmaceuticals, told "Tucker Carlson Tonight" Wednesday that his company's rapid coronavirus antibody test is ready to be deployed, but is being held up by "red tape" at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). "We have a rapid antibody test. And the key to this is, this is part of the solution to the crisis," McColgan said. "It identifies patients that have immunity and it identifies people that can give plasma [to] critically ill patients. "It was developed in Germany," McColgan said. "Germany has the lowest mortality from COVID-19 globally at this...

Washington -- If you were reading The Wall Street Journal late last week, you might have noticed a story about federal prosecutor John Durham from Connecticut. He is the man that Attorney General William Barr tapped a year ago to look into irregularities allegedly committed surrounding the 2016 election, possibly by high-ranking officials in our intelligence community. All of America is absorbed with the coronavirus pandemic. I am, too, but there are other matters of great import to be decided before this year is out. Durham's investigation is one of them. According to the Journal, when Durham became anxious about...

So is the purpose of the nationwide lockdown to "flatten the curve" or to reduce the total, cumulative number of infections? Because the very important distinction between the two goals is about to become critical. See, "flattening the curve" meant delaying -- not preventing -- infections. The idea was that our medical system was going to become absolutely overwhelmed by infections, resulting in an elevated death rate. The notion was explicitly that people were going to get infected no matter what we did, but we could delay many of those infections until our medical system could handle them. It's important...

Slated for human trials, EIDD-2801 could become the first pill for COVID-19An oral medicine was able to hinder the coronavirus behind COVID-19 as it attempted to replicate itself in human lung cells in test tubes, scientists reported Monday. It also hampered closely related coronaviruses from reproducing in mice for several days and improved their lung functions.* The drug, called EIDD-2801, interferes with a key mechanism that allows the SARS-CoV-2 virus to reproduce in high numbers and cause infections, the researchers explained in the journal Science Translational Medicine. Human trials have not yet been done, but if the effect is similar...

As daily life across America is upended by the coronavirus crisis -- with mass business closures plunging the economy into freefall -- one former New York Times reporter is sounding the alarm about what he believes are flawed models dictating the aggressive strategy. Alex Berenson has been analyzing the data on the crisis on a daily basis for weeks and has come to the conclusion that the strategy of shutting down entire sectors of the economy is based on modeling that doesn’t line up with the realities of the virus. THE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK STATE BY STATE "The response we have...

David Benham and the eight Christians who were arrested for praying outside a local abortion clinic and helping mothers in need are not taking the abrogation of their Constitutional rights lying down. Their attorneys drafted a letter to the city of Charlotte, North Carolina today telling the city to stand down and let them pray and counsel outside the abortion center or face a potential lawsuit. As LifeNew reported, Benham was arrested Saturday while praying outside an abortion facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department confirmed that they arrested eight people outside the abortion facility for allegedly violating...

Texas abortion facilities begged a federal judge this week to allow them to start aborting unborn babies again. Right now, Texas is abortion-free. A Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals panel ruled Tuesday in favor of a state-wide restriction on non-essential medical procedures, including elective abortions, during the coronavirus pandemic. The ruling overturned a decision by U.S. District Judge Lee Yeakel blocking the state from enforcing the restriction on abortion facilities. And it is to Yeakel that the abortion industry is turning again. The Free Beacon reports a group of Texas abortion facilities filed a new motion Wednesday asking Yeakel for...

It was after the crucifixion of the Messiah of Israel that Satan and godless Israelites rejoiced in their demonic triumph of unrighteousness. They thought that they had done away with “This Man”, this Miracle Worker, this Preacher of RIGHTEOUSNESS, this violator of the Sabbath, the "messiah", this One who claimed to be Almighty God the Son; and it was exhilarating to their godless mind (Matt. 27, Luke 23). As the Sabbath day was about to begin these godless men made their preparation to finish “their” Feast of Passover and partake in “their” man-made traditions (Matt. 15:7-11, 23, John 18:28). Satan...

Twitter temporarily locked the account of online personalities and political commentators Lynnette Hardaway and Rochelle Richardson, known as Diamond and Silk, over a tweet that criticized the stay-at-home guidelines. The tweet argued that staying inside will make people sicker and that going outside boosts immunity. “The only way we can become immune to the environment; we must be out in the environment. Quarantining people inside of their houses for extended periods will make people sick!” Diamond and Silk tweeted Wednesday.
