RALEIGH, N.C. — A man in Wake County has tested positive for coronavirus, Gov. Roy Cooper said Tuesday. It is North Carolina’s first case of the new illness. More than 100 vehicles were involved in a series of crashes over the weekend on an interstate in Wyoming that left three people dead and dozens injured, officials revealed on Monday. The Wyoming Highway Patrol said in a news release that the crashes began around 3:39 p.m. Sunday around milepost 181 and 184 on Interstate 80 near the city of Rawlins, about 180 miles west of Cheyenne. SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The Sacramento County Registrar’s Office says 10-15 temporary staffers will not be coming in to work the primary Tuesday. Over the last few days, a spokesperson said some have called in saying they do not want to be around crowds for fear of the coronavirus. The number of people in Italy who have died since contracting the new coronavirus has risen to 79, according to the latest official data. Some 400 new cases were reported on Tuesday evening, bringing the total number of people in Italy confirmed to have contracted the virus since the beginning of the outbreak to 2,502.
