In exchange, the Taliban is assuring it will not allow Afghanistan to be used by terrorists to attack the United States. U.S. Expected to Sign Deal With Taliban to Withdraw Troops From AfghanistanAfghanistan has become America’s longest, now nearly invisible, warThe New York Times and others reluctantly acknowledge that the nearly 20 year war in Afghanistan may be coming to an end - at the hand of President Trump, the man they swore would lead us into World War III. But wait! After more than a year of talks, the deal would lay out the beginning of the end of the United States’ longest war. But many obstacles remain. There it is, there’s still hope: “many obstacles remain.” Though the Taliban...

Let's call it Trumpvirus," urged a New York Times opinion writer conspiratorially. Nancy Pelosi groused that President Trump waited too long to attack the coronavirus (COVID-19) and then impetuously declared he couldn't have leftover and unspent Ebola virus money to fight it, Though he lamented being called a "racist" for doing so, Trump says if he hadn't hardened the U.S. borders at that point, the virus would have had gained a bigger foothold in the country. Now, let's go to the Wayback Machine. In April of 2009, the H1N1 became a pandemic. But it wasn't until six months later, October,...

In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me. Psalm 120:1 KJV How do we know the Coronavirus is not just a bad flu let alone a deadly disease? What we do know is China is proving how bad National Healthcare and Communism really is. The very thing our brainwashed youth are wanting for America is on display as a horrific healthcare system and a gummit which builds morgues rather than hospitals to cure a disease. The very system Comrade Sanders wants here has people eating skunks, bats and rats raw and a virulent virus was born,...

What a shock it must have been for the Duke of Sussex to learn that his adopted host nation Canada would no longer foot part of the bill for his family’s police protection. How could this be? Harry’s and Meghan’s bestie, PM Justin Trudeau, had welcomed them warmly in December. And the country is a second home to Meghan; it’s where she found happiness and fame on the TV series Suits. What’s more, it is a member of the Commonwealth, for which Harry and Meghan were devoted youth ambassadors. But they were forced to relinquish their roles after stepping away...

You touched me. And you made my work go to another level. You inspire me. And every time I go into those prisons and I ask my guys how many...

The coronavirus is coinciding with "significant decreases" in nitrogen dioxide over China, according to NASA, as authorities there continue to place more people under quarantines and some businesses remain closed amid the outbreak. Pollution monitoring satellites operated by NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA) detected the decreases over a two-month span, according to a news release. The drops coincided with the outbreak and the Lunar New Year, which was unusually tame because many decided to stay indoors rather than risk becoming infected. “This is the first time I have seen such a dramatic drop-off over such a wide area...

Scandinavian countries are well-known for their broad social safety net and their public funding of services such as universal healthcare, higher education, parental leave, and child and elderly care. High levels of public spending naturally require high levels of taxation. In 2018, Denmark’s tax-to-GDP ratio was at 44.9 percent, Norway’s at 39.0 percent, and Sweden’s at 43.9 percent. This compares to a ratio of 24.3 percent in the United States. So how do Scandinavian countries raise their tax revenues? A first breakdown shows that consumption taxes and social security contributions—both taxes with a very broad base—raise much of the additional...

[The agreement was signed this morning a little after 0800 eastern] Since 2011, Qatar has hosted Taliban leaders who have moved there to discuss peace in Afghanistan. It has been a chequered process. A Taliban office was opened in 2013, and closed the same year amid rows over flags. Other attempts at talks stalled. In December 2018, the militants announced they would meet US officials to try to find a "roadmap to peace". But the hard-line Islamist group continued to refuse to hold official talks with the Afghan government, whom they dismissed as American "puppets".

The system, called ribosome synthesis and evolution (RISE), is an important step toward using ribosomes beyond their natural capabilities. The key feature of RISE is the ability to evolve ribosomes without cell viability constraints. The result could be new ways to synthesize materials, like nylon, or therapies, like new antibiotics that could address rising antibiotic resistance. The ribosome is like the chef of translation, cooking up the synthesis of a diverse array of biopolymers, or proteins, that enable life. Researchers have already used the ribosome's ability to build proteins to develop new biopharmaceuticals, like insulin. But teaching ribosomes to cook...

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem (Music in The Bible) Psalm 119 Psalm 119[a] â€Ž× Nun 105 Your word is a lamp for my feet,     a light on my path. 106 I have taken an oath and confirmed it,     that I will follow your righteous laws. 107 I have suffered much;     preserve my life, Lord, according to your word. 108 Accept, Lord, the willing praise of my mouth,     and teach me your laws. 109 Though I constantly take my life in my hands,     I will not forget your law. 110 The wicked have set a snare for me,     but I have not strayed from your...

The Constitution grants Congress plenary authority over immigration policy, but liberal judges have increasingly usurped the law. On Monday the Supreme Court will consider if immigrants whom Congress has deemed deportable can seek sanctuary in the courts. The Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) establishes rules and procedures by which immigrants may be removed from the country. To prevent federal courts from getting clogged, Congress created special immigration courts with multiple levels of administrative appeal and limited federal judicial review of cases. In Department of Homeland Security v. Thuraissigiam, a Sri Lankan man caught after crossing the Mexican border illegally is...
