Forget Lincoln and Douglas. Forget Nixon and Kennedy. Hell, forget the Athenians and the Melians back during the Peloponnesian War. Last night’s Democratic primary slagfest in Nevada was the greatest debate in all of human history. Oh, was it glorious — the sheer raging hostility spraying across the stage as every campaign besides the Bernie Sanders and Michael Bloomberg bids face the desperate possibility each might fade into the woodwork against the Bernie surge and the Bloomberg billions. It’s not that the gloves were off. No, my friends, everybody was wearing steel-tipped boots and going right for the crotch. Those...

Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg’s brother-in-law, Pastor Rhyan Glezman, slammed the Democratic hopeful for his comments Tuesday night, when the candidate claimed he doesn’t see “any compatibility” between supporting President Trump and the teachings in Scripture after declaring that God “does not belong to a political party.” “Yeah, in the height of intellectual dishonesty for Pete to make claims that there’s no compatibility with being a Christian and voting for Trump, [when] Pete, in fact, is the one who is pushing agendas and rhetoric that is against, clearly against Scripture,” Glezman said on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Wednesday. “Just everything...

Mikaela Spielberg, who is the adopted daughter of the director and his actress wife Kate Capshaw, told the US Sun that her parents support her adult film career. Mikaela said that when she told her parents about her decision, they were “intrigued” but “not upset.” The Nashville, Tennessee, native also told the paper that she is a “sexual creature” and got tired of working day-to-day to earn a living. “I got really tired of not...

Amy Klobuchar asked Pete Buttigieg if he was calling her “dumb.” Bloomberg shut down Bernie Sanders by quipping that “the best-known socialist in the country happens to be a millionaire with three houses.” The Democrats’ showdown Wednesday night in Las Vegas repeatedly put Bloomberg in his primary rivals’ crosshairs as the surging billionaire made his debate-stage debut. But the conflagration quickly expanded into an all-out melée and easily the most aggressive debate of the nomination season to date, as each of the candidates took sharp and often personal shots at one another. The fight started out white-hot when, in her...

But former Obama administration national security adviser Susan Rice Rice challenged his decision not to publicly discuss Trump's Ukraine pressure campaign. Former national security adviser John Bolton said Wednesday he was surprised that Senate Republicans rejected his offer to testify in President Donald Trump's impeachment trial. But he said that even if he had testified, it wouldn't have changed the outcome of the trial because of how House Democrats handled their investigation. "I think the House committed impeachment malpractice," Bolton said at an event at Vanderbilt University with Susan Rice, who was national security adviser during the administration of former...

Gov. Gavin Newsom wants to make it easier for the government to force psychiatric treatment for people with mental illness and expand statewide a still-developing test program that allows officials to more easily take control over those deemed unable to care for themselves. In a State of the State address Wednesday devoted almost entirely to the issue of homelessness, the Democratic governor said the state should broaden those laws “within the bounds of deep respect for civil liberties and personal freedoms — but with an equal emphasis on helping people into the life-saving treatment that they need at the precise...

Her digestive system has been bothering her for awhile, and the bananas/rice/toast light stress diet hasn't helped it calm down and get back to normal. She viaited her doc earlier this week and is awaiting the results and should know by the end of the week what she's actually dealing with. Its weakened her and she's really tired of it. Any prayers are appreciated. Also for those who are praying for my dad, his recovery is on the slow up curve. He had a bout of inflammation that required steroids to bring down, he's back home and resting and eating...

Comedian Chelsea Handler was hammered after she falsely suggested that President Donald Trump only exonerates or pardons white people. Handler got dragged on social media by commenters who pointed out that among the people President Trump chose this week for clemency are Angela Stanton-King, Tynice Nichole Hall, and Crystal Munoz — who are black and Native American. Two years ago, President Trump also granted clemency to Alice Johnson, who is black. President Trump enacted clemency actions on Tuesday for 11 individuals who served time for a range of crimes including drug-related offenses and white-collar fraud.

The Daegu Army garrison restricted access and imposed self-quarantine for any U.S. troops who recently attended a local church linked to a cluster of new coronavirus infections as South Korea’s infection toll surpassed 80. The top U.S. commander in South Korea also raised the risk level for the military community on the divided peninsula to moderate. U.S. Army Garrison Daegu, about 200 miles southeast of Seoul, also recommended that members of the military community avoid public places and transportation in the city, including stores, restaurants and other heavily congested areas until a trace investigation is completed. Schools on the base...

February 20 2020 Thursday of the Sixth Week in Ordinary Time Reading 1 Jas 2:1-9 My brothers and sisters, show no partiality as you adhere to the faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ. For if a man with gold rings and fine clothes comes into your assembly, and a poor person with shabby clothes also comes in, and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say, “Sit here, please,” while you say to the poor one, “Stand there,” or “Sit at my feet,” have you not made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with...

Right after tonight’s big Democratic debate, there was a general consensus on CNN that it went very badly for Michael Bloomberg. Van Jones put things the most succinctly when he said it was a “disaster” for the former New York mayor: “Bloomberg went in as the titanic — billion-dollar-machine titanic. Titanic, meet iceberg Elizabeth Warren. She took him to task in a way that I’ve never seen in a debate. She took it over, she prosecuted him. But the worst part about it is for me a lot of African-Americans are placing great hope in Bloomberg, despite the stop and...

The Boy Scouts of America have filed for bankruptcy protection. While they may survive in some revised form, smaller and weaker than before, the Boy Scouts of old, as a great institution in American life, may be no more. Frankly, they have been on a downward trajectory for some time. In a world in which consumer-electronics, from cell phones to game consoles, have taken over the entertainment options for children, modernity itself contributed greatly to the Boy Scouts’ decline. But there is a difference between a weakening and a destruction… a difference between the natural loss of popularity and a...

An anonymous group claimed it was behind the release of pigeons over the city of Las Vegas that are wearing MAGA hats and -- in at least one case -- a wig that resembles President Trump's hair. The group, calling itself Pigeons United To Interfere Now, or P.U.T.I.N., called it an "aerial protest" of Wednesday night's Democratic debate, local Fox affiliate KVVU reported. They also released a video of birds wearing the headgear, with a voiceover of dialogue from the Alfred Hitchcock film "The Birds." PIGEONS WEARING TINY COWBOY HATS POP UP IN LAS VEGAS, SPARKING CONCERN FROM ANIMAL RESCUERS...

Did anybody happen to catch the CNN post mortem on the demonicRAT debate? I couldn't tell who aksed the question but I think it might have been Fredo the Coomo, he was wondering what was wrong with the demonicRAT candidates and Van Jones said they were defective. They were not cutting the cheese.Well, obviously the solution to that problem is to draft Eric Swalwell. He's great at cutting the cheese.

"I am finding this unbelievably troubling. The worst debate I have ever seen. "All of the candidates — except one — is attacking everyone. The VERY BEST Circular Firing Squad trump could hope for... all democratic candidates bloodied. . . . . . "This is sickening, a real slug fest with everyone shouting at the top of their lungs as if the world needed a hearing aid. I almost wish I needed one so I could remove it. If these are the survivors of 9 debates, we're in worse trouble than I thought. . . . . "The goal is...
