"Doctor Who" just made history with its first ever black Doctor, who was revealed during Sunday night's episode "Fugitive of the Judoon." Jo Martin, playing the first black incarnation of the Doctor, was shockingly revealed to the 13th Doctor, portrayed by Jodie Whittaker. Whittaker was the first female incarnation of the character. In the episode, written by Vinay Patel and Chris Chibnall, Martin's character, a tour guide in the English city Gloucester named Ruth Clayton, surprisingly announces that she is the Doctor. The historic revelation came after a TARDIS was dug up from under Clayton's lighthouse childhood home. But neither...

Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump's former national security adviser John Bolton claims to have privately told Attorney General William Barr last year that he was concerned the President was granting favors to the autocratic leaders of China and Turkey, The New York Times reported Monday, citing multiple people's descriptions of an unpublished draft manuscript by Bolton. Barr told Bolton in response that he worried Trump had created the appearance of undue influence over two Justice Department investigations of companies in China and Turkey, which are traditionally independent inquiries, the draft manuscript says, according to the Times.

Mini nuclear stations can be mass manufactured and delivered in chunks on the back of a lorry, which makes costs more predictable. Rolls-Royce is leading a consortium to build small modular reactors (SMRs) and install them in former nuclear sites in Cumbria or in Wales. Ultimately, the company thinks it will build between 10 and 15 of the stations in the UK. They are about 1.5 acres in size - sitting in a 10-acre space. That is a 16th of the size of a major power station such as Hinkley Point. SMRs are so small that theoretically every town could...

Sports fans like rivalries. They like basketball rivals that play home-and-away games. They like football rivals who play every year. They like following their teams to rivals’ homes, when they can. The great College Sports road trip tradition must not be lost! Today’s conferences are designed to compete for contracts with sports networks proliferating on a dying cable-TV industry, even though in waning industries, consolidation is the norm. Below, then, is what the conferences of the NCAA might look like if the conferences constituted themselves to foster fan enjoyment, rather than competing to gobble up TV markets. But first let...

NEW YORK — An estimated 80,000 Americans died of flu and its complications last winter — the disease’s highest death toll in at least four decades. The director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Robert Redfield, revealed the total in an interview Tuesday night with The Associated Press. Flu experts knew it was a very bad season, but at least one found size of the estimate surprising. “That’s huge,” said Dr. William Schaffner, a Vanderbilt University vaccine expert. The tally was nearly twice as much as what health officials previously considered a bad year, he said. In...

This is the most conservative of all the Democratic presidential candidates, note well. So, as the man says, let’s be clear: if you think it might be a bad idea for biological males to compete against your daughter in the high school women’s sports league, or that biological males do not belong in your daughter’s or wife’s locker room, or even if you dissent from gender ideology at all, as the left-wing feminist J.K. Rowling did publicly late last year — then you are on the same side as Bull Connor and the Ku Klux Klan, and will deserve the...

The twin brother of controversial anti-Trump NSC aide Lt. Col. Alexander S. Vindman had seen a draft copy of John Bolton’s controversial new book, raising the possibility that he passed key passages to the New York Times. The Wall Street Journal described Yevgeny as “an NSC lawyer handling ethics issues.” Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman described his twin as the “lead ethics official” at the NSC. A U.S. Office of Government Ethics web page, updated on Friday, identifies Yevegeny Vindman as the “Alternate Designated Agency Ethics Official” for the NSC..

Q is the result of the sacrifices and commitment of countless patriots to win back our captured country from the Deep State and achieve the transformation President Trump promised in this campaign video. President Trump has said the awakening of the public is key to this transformation. Q describes this awakening as follows: "The Great Awakening ('Freedom of Thought’), was designed and created not only as a backchannel to the public (away from the longstanding ‘mind’ control of the corrupt & heavily biased media) to endure future events through transparency and regeneration of individual thought (breaking the chains of...

First, it was an unexpected appearance at President Donald Trump's impeachment hearings, and now it’s a barrier-breaking debut during one of the year’s most watched sporting events. Drag queens, for the first time, will appear in a Super Bowl advertisement. “RuPaul’s Drag Race” alumni Kim Chi and Miz Cracker will make history in a commercial for hummus brand Sabra during the football championship game Feb. 2, when the Kansas City Chiefs will face the San Francisco 49ers. President Trump’s defense team put Hunter Biden and former President Barack Obama on trial on Monday during the impeachment case in the Senate, questioning why Democrats weren’t outraged about Mr. Biden’s $3 million sweetheart deal with a Ukrainian gas company or Mr. Obama’s “caving” to Russia on missile defense. Brushing past Democrats‘ renewed calls for former White House National Security Adviser John R. Bolton to testify, the president’s attorneys essentially put Hunter Biden in the witness chair to show that Mr. Trump had plenty of reasons to urge Ukraine’s president to open a corruption probe of former Vice President Joseph...

And it seems that this “witch hunt” is no more interesting for the American citizens too. At least for Trump’s supporters. The Associated Press reported Monday that Americans...

WUHAN, Jan. 28 -- The number of fever patients in central China's Wuhan saw an increase, with over 15,000 during peak hours over the past few days, said Ma Guoqiang, the city's Party secretary. Wuhan usually received an average of 3,000 fever patients daily over the period of past years, so the surge in number resulted in long queues in some hospitals, Ma said at a press conference on Monday night. "Currently there are 62 hospitals in Wuhan that are equipped with fever clinics, and the situation is getting better," Ma said.
