Venice suffered some historic floods in November, and we all know what the cause is: not its proximity to this strange, heaving body of liquid some call “the sea,” or the fact that Venice admits “the sea” into its city limits with a series of picturesque canals, or the fact that the entire city rests on logs and has sunk a bit over the years. No, it’s your gas stove. Also your shower. And your hamburger. The solution? Stop letting women control the temperature in the house. It’s the only logical conclusion, but we need to set this up. First,...

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem (Music in The Bible) Psalm 51 Psalm 51[a] For the director of music. A psalm of David. When the prophet Nathan came to him after David had committed adultery with Bathsheba. 1 Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. 3 For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. 4 Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight; so you are right...

The Trump-hating Democratic-Socialists are beginning their impeachment dance today. What do you think? Should President Trump be impeached? https://www.peoplespoll.net/polls/impeach.php

Fearing they will be next following the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, jittery cities along the U.S. and Canadian West Coast begin conducting blackouts and in some cases sound alarms and report sightings of enemy warplanes overhead. We often hear about inmates on death row who are exonerated after years behind bars, usually because the prosecution made procedural errors, or there wasn’t any DNA evidence to convincingly prove the person committed the crime. But what if it was made clear at the trial that someone else committed the murder, not the guy sentenced to death row? Patrick Bearup has been sitting behind bars for almost 17 years, sentenced to death for a murder he did not commit. He fell in with some bad people in his 20s. They told him to accompany them to the house of...

It’s the story that won’t die, and rightly so. Speaker Nancy Pelosi jumped all over journalist James Rosen for daring to ask the question the rest of us think: Do you hate President Trump, Speaker Pelosi? Her unhinged response to a perfectly logical question deserves all the mocking it is getting, especially by NBC’s Saturday Night Live. To refresh your memory, during a press conference last week Speaker Pelosi addressed questions about impeachment. She claimed that she has a “heart full of love” and Rosen only asked the question because Rep. Doug Collins accused her of having anger and...

Back in 2016, we speculated about a brokered convention. Remember the stories about Trump failing in the first vote and Kasich taking it in the third round?  Well, it may happen this time, as Karl Rove is outlining:  There’s growing concern among Democrats that their July 2020 convention in Milwaukee could open without a candidate who receives a majority of the vote on the first ballot. The last time that happened to the Democrats was 1952. There are now four candidates—Joe Biden, Pete Buttigieg, Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren—who have enough support and money to be competitive through...

“‘When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is the one on whom seed was sown beside the road’” (Matthew 13:19). The hard-packed soil beside the road represents the unresponsive hearer who “does not understand” the gospel, solely because of his or her own hardheartedness. The person has continually resisted the gospel or anything else related to true spirituality because of an insensitive, impervious heart. The Word lies on the surface of the unresponsive heart, exposed to attack by Satan....

A year has passed since two Central American caravans arrived in Tijuana last fall... everything has changed... Today, few Central American asylum seekers have been able to make it to Tijuana. In the last 12 months, a combination of US deterrence policy and a massive Mexican immigration crackdown has destroyed northward movement towards Tijuana... Tijuana looks much different today than it did a year ago. When the caravans first arrived, the international media descended on the city in a swarm; camera flashes lit up shelters. Now, the city has mostly recovered from the chaos of last fall. Migration from the...

Somebody told Adam Schiff to pretend that he is fair-minded and hasn’t made up his mind on impeaching President Trump, apparently. Or else, he realizes some serious dirt on Democrats would be exposed.  Appearing on CBS’s Face the Nation, he reiterated to the incredulous host Margaret Brennan who questioned whether or not he would actually vote against impeachment, that he hasn’t made up his mind yet. Grabien screen grabs Yeah, right. Is there an outside chance that Schiff will vote against impeachment? Only if it looks like some serious dirt on Biden, Ciaramella,  or Schiff himself would be in...

The Pensacola Navy base shooter had been “infuriated” by an instructor who humiliated him by calling him “Porn Stash” in front of classmates, according to a new report. Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani, who killed three young US Navy students in a shooting spree in Florida on Friday, had filed a formal complaint against instructor James Day in April, The New York Times revealed Sunday. Alshamrani alleged Day addressed him as “Porn Stash” — spelled that way in the complaint — in front of at least 10 other students as they were being dismissed from a meteorology class.

The House Judiciary Committee has issued a report claiming, essentially, that Congress is not bound by any standards of what is impeachable. Citing Justice Joseph Story, who wrote a 19th-century commentary on the Constitution, the report claims that it is impossible to establish any “comprehensive definition of ‘high Crimes and Misdemeanors’ or a catalog of offenses that are impeachable.†Instead, the report says, Congress must collect the facts and then consider whether impeachment is warranted. This conclusion is not unprecedented. It tracks the conclusions of some writers on impeachment, who (as I note in one of my scholarly articles) have...

Post #20. With so many rats running for president in 2020 it's hard to keep up with who's in and who's out. Hopefully, this post will help. This thread will be posted each week, likely on Monday, with the dropouts from the previous week and newly declared candidates noted. Below is a list of declared candidates, their occupation, the date they dropped from the race (if they did) and misc. notes. The dust biter(s) from last week: Finally, Kamala Harris (at last) and Steve Bullock. Steve who? :) Harris dropping is particularly satisfying. h/t to laplata who posted this: I...

Is the ghost of John McCain haunting Senator Lindsey Graham? .. He wants to leave all those rocks in place, turning nothing over to see what crawls out. Instead, once the House managers present their case, he wants a quick vote... In particular, Graham ruled out calling Adam Schiff to testify. ... This is absolutely the wrong way to go. With only one side presenting evidence, and the Senate voting along party lines (with the possibility that Mitt Romney or Lisa Murkowski joining the Dems and Joe Manchin joining the GOP bloc), the Democrats will have succeeded in their goal...

The pro-life group And Then There Were None held a webcast in which former abortion workers told their stories. Former Planned Parenthood director Abby Johnson asked Adrienne Moton, who once worked for Philadelphia “House of Horrors” abortionist Kermit Gosnell, whether women ever came in for repeat abortions. Moton responded: "Oh yes. To the point where we’re calling each other by first names. There is one woman, I don’t remember her name and I wouldn’t say her name – she was there 18 times. And she was just – I said, “18?” And she was just like, hey. It was like...

I am a New Zealander (or "Kiwi," as we affectionately refer to ourselves) who has spent many years outside my home country — including several years in the United States.  At present, I live in Asia and cannot see myself returning to the land of my birth and upbringing anytime soon. My home country is simply not the paradise that many people, including a lot of Americans, perceive it to be. Background It's important to note that I drafted this article back in April — soon after the mass shooting that took place in Christchurch — but opted to have it sit in limbo...

One America’s Chanel Rion flew to Europe to talk to additional witnesses. These officials claimed to have evidence proving DNC collusion and criminal activity by the Bidens. Here’s her summary of the trip and a preview into Part III of her series.

"I grew up in a world where a woman who looks like me, with my kind of skin and my kind of hair, was never considered to be beautiful. "I think that it is time that that stops today." That's the message from newly-crowned Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi, who is from South Africa.
