Many places around the globe have seen significant changes in how work is organized. This has not been without social or psychological consequences. The organized, temporary migration of labor to where resources are to be mined, for example, or stadiums to be built, has led to the segregation of mostly male workforces. These groups are taken away from any meaningful social network, from the stabilizing and relativizing influences of family and friends, from their known environments. Some mining companies even refuse to employ local people: instead, they only employ people who live within a commuting distance from a large airport...

KYIV — Now we know why the Democrats are so rabidly going after POTUS with a scam impeachment. CD Media has been on the ground in Kyiv for some time now investigating corruption of the U.S. State Department in Ukraine, along with multiple Democratic Party operatives in-country, who have been involved in a massive money laundering operation of IMF aid funds, along with corrupt Ukrainian officials, including former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. What we have to say is truly shocking. The theft totals in the billions of dollars. In short, multiple intelligence sources have produced evidence which will soon be...

Recently, a deranged leftist (pardon the redundancy) got angry with me for talking publicly about my firearms collection. Apparently, he not only opposes my ownership of guns but also does not want me to discuss them. In other words, he is one of those Beto O’Rourke leftists seeking to eviscerate both the First and Second Amendments. He even decided to write one of my bosses and petition for my termination after I refused to stop tweeting about firearms. So I am going to respond to his demands in the only reasonable way I can: I’m going to start writing about...

Who could have guessed that the words of Soviet secret police chief Lavrentiy Beria to Joseph Stalin, "Show me the man, and I will show you the crime," would be strangely embodied in American politics and jurisprudence in the 21st century? Moreover, according to Dr. Strangeschiff — congressman, chairman, and commissar — these wonderful words have recently found their way into the U.S. Constitution. Secret impeachment would seem to be a new idea, but the curious Dr. Strangeschiff borrowed it from the closed Soviet trials of dissidents, "enemies of the people," and other "undesirable elements." Bravo, comrade Strangeschiff! Please, continue...

Quentin Tarantino will not recut “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” to placate Chinese censors, Variety has confirmed. The decision likely means that the Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt buddy dramedy and ode to late sixties Tinseltown won’t be making an appearance in China — at least in non-pirated form. Tarantino previously ran afoul of higher ups in the country with “Django Unchained” and ultimately agreed to make some excisions that eliminated scenes of graphic violence and nudity after the film was yanked from release. It didn’t matter much. When it was re-released in edited form, the film went on...

THERE are certain actions which are borne out of power politics, while others emerge from ideological fixations. Still yet, some are combinations thereof. Said duality is the driving force behind Chancellor Merkel’s rule – her leadership, for almost 15 years, reflects as much. Not only that, as the head of Germany, the 4th largest economy in the world, the heft she wields across Europe (and beyond) is enormous. SO much so, even socialist-leaning and globalist-driven Zuckerberg (in total control of Facebook, the largest social media site on the planet and deemed the world’s most dangerous censor – who is more...

RUSH: I’m getting some emails. “Rush, you don’t seem to be taking impeachment seriously enough. I think you’re wrong. I think the House is gonna impeach Trump. It’s gonna they’re gonna do it. I think there’s gonna be a trial. I’m really worried. Why aren’t you?” I’m getting a lot of emails that have that as a basic theme. I’ll go through it again, but let me give you a very simple reason why I think they aren’t going to actually have an official vote and transfer all this to a trial in the Senate. That’s why they’re not gonna...

President Donald Trump is one of the most controversial world leaders in modern times, igniting the ire of America’s staunchest allies. Whether it’s the proposed Muslim ban, the US border wall and immigration, or his praise of authoritarian leaders, Trump is deft at inciting deep divisions among the public. In 2018, political scientist Daniel Drezner summarized this consensus in The Washington Post: “The world hates President Trump.” Data from the Pew Research Center illustrates Drezner’s thinking. For the residents of US allies, their confidence in the US president dropped substantially from the last year of Obama’s presidency to the beginning...

The state's top prosecutor believes that the go-to social media site for accused Tree of Life shooter Robert Bowers is on its last legs financially, according to a statement issued early Thursday further explaining that office's decision to close a civil probe that followed the synagogue massacre. The statement from the office of Attorney General Josh Shapiro indicates that the decision to close the probe followed indications that Pennsylvania-based Gab.com "had exhausted its already-raised money, and was no longer going to be serviced by the payment processors, cutting off all public funding to support the business." Spokeswoman Jacklin Rhoads went...

The ship’s crew later tracked down the woman and removed her when the ship docked in Falmouth, Jamaica, Blosic said. A Royal Caribbean spokesperson confirmed the incident, telling CNN in a statement: “Earlier this week on the Allure of the Seas a guest was observed recklessly and dangerously posing for a photo by standing on her stateroom balcony railing with the help of her companion. Security was notified and the guests were later debarked in Falmouth, Jamaica as a result of their actions and are now banned for life from sailing with Royal Caribbean.” On its website, Royal Caribbean explains...

Shortly after being awarded my Ph.D. by the University of Chicago’s department of Comparative Human Development this year, I found myself in a minor media whirlwind. I was interviewed by The Daily Wire, The College Fix, and Breitbart. I appeared on national television and on a widely syndicated radio program. All of this interest had been prompted by a working paper associated with my dissertation, which was entitled Balancing Abortion Rights and Fetal Rights: A Mixed Methods Mediation of the U.S. Abortion Debate. As discussed in more detail below, I reported that both a majority of pro-choice Americans (53%) and...

Breaking News China 3Q2019 GDP hits 27.5 year low of 6.0% as officials say 90% of downside pressure coming from trade war. There was typical bluster with news but there is no doubt China has mounting financial reasons to deal more fairly with America. The calculus is shifting. China’s economy slowed by more than expected in the third quarter, according to a report published Friday by China’s National Bureau of Statistics. The true growth rate of the Chinese economy can be hard to measure. Official statistics are suspected of often being fudged to meet central government expectations. The latest economic...

United States President Trump may be embattled at home, where he faces an impeachment inquiry and high-stakes diplomatic crises, but right-wing activists are planning a pro-Trump rally this week anyway – in Pretoria. Willie Jordaan, the attorney who leads the Patriots for Minorities movement in South Africa, announced his plans on Monday to host a Trump 2020 support rally at the U.S. Embassy building this Thursday morning. Jordaan condemned the “ridiculous and unfounded” impeachment process in the politically tense U.S. and praised Trump for “keeping an eye on South Africa.” “We would like to thank you for your continued support...

In the midst of a human rights crisis and violent pro-democracy manifestations in China, Judicial Watch has obtained records that expose a troubling partnership between a public American university and the Chinese Communists at the heart of the abuses. The records show that the University of Arizona (UA), a taxpayer-funded institution with an enrollment of about 44,000, paid $100,000 to launch a Confucius Institute on its Tucson campus more than a decade ago and subsequently dedicated nearly $2 million and other public resources to keep it going. Confucius Institutes were founded by the Chinese government and are managed by China’s...

Tulsi Gabbard ✔ @TulsiGabbard Great! Thank you @HillaryClinton. You, the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long, have finally come out from behind the curtain. From the day I announced my candidacy, there has been a concerted campaign to destroy my reputation. We wondered who was behind it and why. Now we know — it was always you, through your proxies and powerful allies in the corporate media and war machine, afraid of the threat I pose. It’s now clear that this primary is between you and...

Shortly before my gender assignment surgery in 2002, my father told me that he was grieving the loss of his first-born son. My first impulse was to comfort him. We talked about his feelings one afternoon and I reassured him that he wasn’t losing me. I thought this was my duty; after all, he had supported my transition, defending me against bigoted relatives (even as he stumbled over my pronouns and told me I needed to be less argumentative if I planned to live as a woman). Still, I counted myself lucky that he and other members of my immediate...
