The state attorney general’s office said Sen. Mike Folmer was arrested and charged Tuesday night. Investigators allegedly found images of child pornography on Folmer’s cell phone when they executed a search warrant at his house in Lebanon County.

President Trump is blaming Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke for making it “much harder” for him to reach a bipartisan deal with Democrats on gun control legislation in the wake of a string of mass shootings. Trump tweeted early Wednesday that the former Texas congressman, whom he labeled “dummy Beto,” had “convinced many” that Democrats want to take people’s guns away. The tweet came after O’Rourke, whose home state witnessed recent shootings in El Paso and Odessa, proposed a mandatory buyback for assault weapons. “Dummy Beto made it much harder to make a deal. Convinced many that Dems just want...

Based on the reporting in the press, I bet the public has no idea that murders were down under President Trump, compared to President Obama, and murders rose throughout Obama’s term. After murders rising from 2014 to 2016 under Obama, they leveled off in 2017 after Trump was elected and in 2018 there was a substantial drop. So why does so much of the reporting make it appear that Trump is causing more violence? I bet they also have no idea that the murder rate today in the U.S. per 100,000 residents is less than half what it was in...

Apparently, even leftists know a phony when they see one. What else can be concluded from a new Emerson poll which reports that Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris's support has cratered in her home state of California, falling behind that of even eccentric businessman Andrew Yang. It's not good news for the Democrat popularly known on Twitter as 'horizontal Harris': Why is that so bad? Because, well, for starters, it's so low. Harris is trailing badly against rivals Elizabeth Warren, Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders for one. She's also pretty humiliatingly edged out now by Andrew Yang, a marginal candidate...

New evidence has emerged that Rep. Ilhan Omar did indeed marry her brother, and that her real name may actually be Ilhan Nur Said. A resurfaced tweet from 2013 links to a now-deleted Instagram post in which she refers to her father by the name Nur Said. The tweet was later deleted this morning! In 2009, Rep. Omar married Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, who was the son of Nur Said.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) deleted a tweet from 2013 wishing her father a Happy Father’s Day, providing his name in the post. “Happy Father's Day to my aabo Nur Said, I am forever grateful to Allah for giving me the best father…” read the tweet, linking to an Instagram post, which had previously been deleted. Omar was previously married to a man named Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, and some are saying this may be proof of the union. "In Somalia, one’s name is normally a first name, the father’s name, and then the grandfather’s name," reports the Daily Caller. Shaikh...

Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski frustrated House Judiciary Committee Democrats during a contentious hearing on Tuesday they had hoped would fuel support for President Trump’s impeachment but instead devolved into chaos. Democrats repeatedly tried and failed to get Lewandowski, a close ally of the president, to talk about his conversations with the president. The White House has asserted those conversations should remain private due to executive privilege, and Lewandowski stayed within those limits.

When I am 25, I would like to live in an apartment in a city, own a pet beagle and spend copious amounts of time in coffee shops and used book stores. By this time, I’d also like to be closer to my dream of running for public office. But, most importantly, by the time I’m 25, I hope that the climate crisis hasn’t killed me.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem (Old Testament) Daniel 9 Daniel’s Prayer 9 In the first year of Darius son of Xerxes[a] (a Mede by descent), who was made ruler over the Babylonian[b] kingdom— 2 in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood from the Scriptures, according to the word of the Lord given to Jeremiah the prophet, that the desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy years. 3 So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes. 4 I prayed to the Lord my God and confessed: “Lord,...

Tuesday on CNBC’s “Mad Money,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said Democrats’ will win the House, retake the presidency and “hopefully” flip the Senate in the 2020 election. While discussing strengthening the Affordable Care Act, Pelosi said, “When we win and I anticipate that we will win the House, and hopefully win the Senate and certainly win the White House — but in the course of all of that, let’s use our energy to have health care for all Americans.”

Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren wants the federal government to fund “reproductive rights,” including abortion, for men as well as women. Warren recently made the pledge at a Tuesday Reproductive Freedom Voter event. “But the second part is to make sure that we provide basic health care for every American and that includes the full range of reproductive rights for women and for men.” Warren is not the first Democratic presidential candidate to suggest that men can not only have abortions but can choose to have children as well. Former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julian Castro said during the second...

There’s a lot to look at in this image. At first glance, one sees the anonymity of Norman Rockwell’s mid-century America: the house-unparticular porch, the timelessness of the couple form. Take another look and the pillars supporting the unseen roof of the porch start to resemble the Ionic columns of the White House, the background becoming a gesture or a promise of possibility. You begin to see the image in the aggregate, and the couple, girded by a backdrop literally overwhelmed by the household, becomes the timelessness of the entire image. This photo also tells a profound story about whiteness,...

Morning "If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit." Galatians 5:25 The two most important things in our holy religion are the life of faith and the walk of faith. He who shall rightly understand these is not far from being a master in experimental theology, for they are vital points to a Christian. You will never find true faith unattended by true godliness; on the other hand, you will never discover a truly holy life which has not for its root a living faith upon the righteousness of Christ. Woe unto those who seek...

There is an ongoing thrust by the fanatical pushers for a disarmed population, to enlist corporate America to their cause. Understandably, corporate entities are uneasy about outright support for any political faction; come out strongly on one side or the other, you are potentially alienating 20-30 percent of your customers. The 50% that are not strongly engaged in politics are unlikely to respond. When it comes to Second Amendment issues, there are about 5 million NRA members and 100 million gun owners. There are about 30 million people that think owning a gun is immoral. The numbers game falls...

Today’s post is in honor of Spc. Chazray C. Clark, who was killed by an improvised explosive device in Afghanistan’s Kandahar province on this day in 2011. The 24-year-old native of Ecorse, Mich. was assigned to 4th Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kan. 1862: A day after the bloody Battle of Antietam, Gen. George B. McClellan blows yet another opportunity to capture Gen. Robert E. Lee’s Army of Northern Virginia, perhaps ending the Civil War. While Lee abandons his invasion of Maryland and turns south, McClellan allows the significantly outnumbered Confederates...
