Oops! I messed up the 2nd one. Here it is:

“I am pleased to announce that I will name Robert C. O’Brien, currently serving as the very successful Special Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs at the State Department, as our new National Security Advisor. I have worked long & hard with Robert. He will do a great job!”

Just curious from someone in the know, but how much more is it possible to sanction Iran?

Excellent! Be patient. The Iranian people will take care of the mullahs soon enough. Don’t let them pull us into a war when we can win without firing a shot.

You start to sanction countries like German who do business with IRAN. You squeeze them by stopping goods and services from entering Iran and continue their economic spiral downward.

I wish I could answer your question. I searched and couldn’t find any article that suggested what sanctions might be left. I presume they will be announced in the not-to-distant future.

Pompeo’s in Saudi Arabia today to reportedly discuss options with the kingdom. Trump has said several times it was an attack on Saudi Arabia, so it should be the Saudi’s who take the lead in any military response. That seems reasonable to me, but I’m not sure the Saudis have the cojones to take any military action. We’ve certainly equipped them militarily so they should be able to defend themselves.

Outside of any additional sanctions the US might impose, there’s a lot of chat on cable news about getting our so-called NATO allies to apply their own sanctions, especially France.

Iran is hurting as evidenced by their flailing about causing trouble...they are trying to draw us into a war that will damage Trump’s 2020 chances.....they would much prefer a feckless demonrat that sends pallets of cash and a sos like Kerry who is dumber than a rock...when they collapse they may go out with a bang...unleashing all their military assets...the pale rider is coming for Iran after Trump wins in 2020...
