Wherever Mike Banning goes, cities fall. But this time it’s his turn. Last month, EW debuted a first look at Angel Has Fallen, the sequel to hit action films Olympus Has Fallen and London Has Fallen. And now, EW has the exclusive trailer for Gerard Butler’s third go-around as the ever-faithful Secret Service agent. As seen in the trailer, Morgan Freeman’s Allan Trumbull has succeeded President Asher (Aaron Eckhart) and put Mike (Butler) in charge of the Secret Service. “We really hadn’t had much screen time together,” Butler tells EW of working with Freeman. “But we very quickly established these...

My column two weeks ago on Ilhan Omar’s Marriage Fraud Immunity Card mentioned the Minnesota state investigation of her use of campaign funds for personal expenses related to her divorce, plus other spending for out-of-state travel. The report was released today on her shady spending practices in response to complaints last year. She has been ordered to pay about $4,000 in reimbursements & fines, plus file amended disclosures. I’ve uploaded the report, conclusions, and orders in full and you can read it here. Download [800.33 KB] Most noteworthy is this item (that "Miss America" calculatedly downplayed): Keep in mind that...

LONDON: British Prime Minister Theresa May steps down as leader of her Conservative Party on Friday, formally triggering the race for a successor who will try where she failed to deliver Brexit. May will remain prime minister until a new leader is chosen, likely in late July, but has relinquished control over the direction of Britain's tortuous departure from the European Union. Brexit is still scheduled for October 31 but while her rivals thrash it out, the project remains stuck, with the only divorce plan agreed with Brussels stuck in parliament. May took office after the 2016 referendum vote to...

After weeks of pledging to hold Attorney General William P. Barr and the former White House counsel Donald F. McGahn II in contempt for defying subpoenas, House Democrats appear poised to pursue an alternative path to try to force them into sharing information. A resolution that the House Rules Committee unveiled on Thursday would authorize the House to petition a federal court to enforce its requests for information and testimony related to the report of the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, but without mentioning contempt. The committee is expected to consider the proposal on Monday, followed by a full...

School officials in Colorado are considering demolishing Columbine High School because of a “morbid fascination” surrounding the 1999 shooting there that left 12 students and a teacher dead, according to reports. In a letter sent to parents Thursday, the superintendent of the Jefferson County School District urged the officials to consider the possibility of razing the high school in Littleton and building a new one nearby, KUSA-TV in Denver reported. Columbine “serves as a point of origin for this contagion of school shootings,” Superintendent Jason Glass wrote. “School shooters refer to and study the Columbine shooting as a macabre source...

For years, the liberal foreign policy establishment presented Americans with a false choice on Iran: surrender or war. President Trump has proved that binary to be a fantasy, squeezing and deterring the Iranians without full-on confrontation. “When I became president, Iran was a true state of terror,” Trump said in France this week. Now, “they are failing as a nation.” Not that his critics give him credit — or room to maneuver. As The Daily Beast reported last week, alumni of the Obama administration have been secretly in touch with the Iranians — no doubt to reassure the mullahs that...

Rudy Giuliani suggested Thursday that he would leave Team Trump after finishing “cleanup” from special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe — only to reverse course later in the day. Giuliani told the Washington Examiner he’d been “pretty busy” juggling his own projects while working for free for Trump. The former New York mayor, who joined the legal team in 2018, said he was still working out issues with the US attorney in Manhattan and the New York state attorney general as they sorted out evidence from Mueller’s probe.

Famed Harvard law professor and attorney Alan Dershowitz said Thursday that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi should be "ashamed of herself" for reportedly saying she wanted to see President Trump in prison. Dershowitz also defended the president's right to fight back. "I have to tell you, as a liberal Democrat, I'm appalled at Nancy Pelosi. The idea of her weaponizing the criminal justice system -- and calling for the imprisonment of the president of the United States without him being charged with any crime, without him being charged with any impeachable offense -- it's just outrageous," Dershowitz said on Fox News'...

A suspect described “a lone wolf” was arrested Thursday in connection with a plan to throw explosives at people in New York City’s famed Times Square, according to reports. The unidentified suspect was taken into custody soon after investigators from the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force learned that he was inquiring about buying grenades, the New York Daily News reported. No information was released about the suspect’s age, nationality or place of residence but he was scheduled to appear in court in Brooklyn on Friday, WCBS-TV in New York City reported.

Fox News exclusive: Trump launches blistering attack on 'nasty, vindictive, horrible' Pelosi President Trump has taken the gloves off in his ongoing feud with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Speaking exclusively to Fox News’ Laura Ingraham in Normandy, France, in an interview that aired Thursday, the president first took time to pay tribute to the heroes who fought on D-Day 75 years ago, describing them as “incredibly brave people” who displayed incredible “valor.” Then, the president switched gears, slamming Pelosi, D-Calif., as a “nasty, vindictive, horrible person” -- after saying he had “tried to be nice to her.”

...Brexit also risks making things worse for other parts of the world in very direct and concrete terms – this is certainly the case for Turkey. ..I was in the Luxembourg press conference when British foreign minister Jack Straw and Gül announced the start of the EU talks, and reported from Istanbul when the euphoria of that day was replaced by despair in the years afterwards. As western European politicians such as Angela Merkel diluted the EU’s commitment to Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who has ruled the country since 2003, undermined Turkey’s commitment to EU standards such as the rule...

In years past, I have refused to contribute one penny to the RNC. I did contribute heavily to the Trump Campaign. Lately, I have been getting texts from "Trump" or "Melania" asking me to donate to Trump Re-Election...('text yes to reply'.)...and, I text 'yes'....only to see a charge to my credit card that posts to the RNC.......Did the Trump Campaign give the RNC my info?...I have seriously mixed feelings about this. I think that Ronna Romney McDaniel kicks her uncle's A**......and I like her so far for her positions re Trump.....but I still do not trust the RNC..............Question: does donating...

UPDATE (3:55pm EDT): The lawyer change (motion for leave) was denied by Judge Sullivan due to a technicality in the filing (no accompanying order, and failure to outline method of notification to Flynn). They are free to refile (probably will). Previously: This is a very interesting development and may well indicate a change in strategy; or, even more interesting, the execution of a pre-planned strategy, for General Michael Flynn. There is a possibility, with legal distance happening as a result of Weissmann and Mueller’s investigation concluding, that Michael Flynn may be shifting to offense. Two separate court filings today show:...

Boris Johnson has said he does not believe the Irish border would be affected if the UK left the European Union.Mr Johnson announced a £62m order for County Antrim firm Wrightbus. However, ahead of June's EU referendum he has discussed why he thinks the UK would be better off outside the European Union. He told the BBC a Brexit would leave arrangements on the Irish border "absolutely unchanged"."There's been a free travel area between the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland for, I think, getting on for 100 years," he said."There's no reason at all why that should cease to be...

Rep. Jim Himes (D., Conn.) said although his investigation of President Donald Trump isn't about his "feelings or retribution," his "lizard brain" would like to see "bad things" happen to the president. Himes's comments came Thursday evening after CNN's Situation Room host Wolf Blitzer asked Himes if he would like to see Trump in jail. "This isn't about my feelings or about retribution," Himes said. "Look, the lizard brain that I have says I hope bad things happen to this man because he has been so destructive to our Republic, to the concept of democracy, to the concept that internationally...

In an effort to avoid the tariffs scheduled to begin next Monday; and not admitting they have no ability to influence the U.S-Mexico border region controlled by drug cartels; the conniving Mexican government is pledging to send troops to their southern border. However, President Trump isn’t in the mood for more empty promises. In essence, the U.S. position led by Vice-President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is: do it, and let’s see… in the meantime, tariffs will commence until Mexican priorities are improved. WASHINGTON – Faced with Trump’s threat to impose escalating tariffs on Mexican goods beginning...

The DOJ has released the FBI agent report (FD-302) written after their interview of Michael Flynn on Jan 24th, 2017. (Full pdf below) From prior testimony we know that FBI Agent Peter Strzok did the questioning and FBI Agent Joe Pientka took notes. However, for some reason, within the DOJ release of the report they are continuing to redact the name Joe Pientka. [Could be due to ongoing employment] It’s worth noting according to Mark Meadows the Office of Inspector General Michael Horowitz has interviewed Joe Pientka extensively; prior attempts by congress to gain testimony from Pientka were blocked by...

CNN host Don Lemon doesn’t believe his show — or his network — are “liberal.” The CNN star offered up the assessment at an industry event on Thursday. Shortly after the remarks made their way to Twitter, many were quick to express their shock and surprise at the remarks. “Don Lemon says CNN and his show aren’t ‘liberal’ — what do you think?” Ken Fisher tweeted. The responses came in fast. …
