President Trump congratulated newly-inaugurated Salvadorian President Nayib Bukele, saying he was ready to work with him to advance prosperity in Latin America. “The United States stands ready to work with @NayibBukele to advance prosperity in El Salvador and the hemisphere. Congratulations President Bukele on your inauguration!” Trump tweeted. Bukele retweeted the message shortly after. Bukele, a 37-year-old political outsider officially sworn into office Saturday, has vowed to prioritize bolstering El Salvador’s relationship with Washington, bolster education and social programs to curb gang violence in the country and, in a move likely to please the White House, veer away from the...

National Rifle Association (NRA) spokeswoman Dana Loesch ripped Rep. Ilhan Omar after she blamed the gun rights group for the deaths inside a Virginia Beach municipal building on Friday. The embattled Minnesota Democrat took a swipe at the NRA just hours after a disgruntled city employee went on a shooting spree that left 12 people dead and four more injured. “I am outraged and heartbroken,” she wrote in a tweet. “How much longer will we ignore the pain of our communities? We need to immediately confront the power of the NRA and end the epidemic of gun violence in this country.” DeWayne Craddock, the...

On May 29, 2019, Special Counsel Robert Mueller delivered his only and final public comments on his Report on the Investigation into Russian Interference in the 2016 Presidential Election. Following Mueller's remarks, John Brennan, director of the CIA under President Obama, commented that Mueller's "public statement today is going to give momentum to those who want to move forward with impeachment hearings. I think there can be no doubt about Mr. Mueller's message that the obstruction of justice issue is not resolved and that there needs to be a follow up action on it." Let there be no doubt that...

Former FBI Director James Comey slammed Attorney General William Barr for "echoing conspiracy theories" in an interview on CBS. "Bill Barr on CBS offers no facts. An AG should not be echoing conspiracy theories. He should gather facts and show them. That is what Justice is about," Comey tweeted on Saturday. Barr spoke with CBS News after special counsel Robert Mueller delivered a roughly nine-minute statement about the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. In that interview, Barr contradicted the reasoning Mueller gave about why he did not make a determination on the question of whether President Trump...

FULL TITLE: Businesses will have to accept 'short-term pain' for 'long-term gain' on Mexico tariff, Rep. Andy Biggs says President Trump's threatened tariff on Mexico would initially hurt businesses but eventually help the country in the long-term, Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., said on Saturday while appearing on "America's News Headquarters." "I'm with them, I understand that. And they're right," Biggs said when asked about constituents who worried their businesses would suffer. "I would say this is a long-term issue that we're trying to resolve and hopefully we can get through with as minimal pain for as short a period as possible and I'm hoping that...

MOSCOW — Russia’s health ministry says 79 people have been injured in an explosion in a plant manufacturing TNT. The blast took place Saturday in Dzerzhinsk, 400 kilometers (250 miles) east of Moscow. An investigation is underway but the cause of the blast has not been determined. The ministry said 38 employees at the plant and 41 local residents sought treatment after the blast. It said 15 were hospitalized, one in serious condition. The blast broke windows in about 180 residential buildings near the plant, the state news agency Tass reported, citing city authorities.

Good luck with that. There are plenty of other rational sites around to peruse. This is certainly not one of them. 01/06/19

Another horrifying attack and immediately gun control politicians and organizations are calling for more gun control laws. Former VP Joe Biden, Sen. Kamala Harris, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, former congressman Beto O’Rourke, Cory Booker and many others put out calls for more gun control within a few hours of the tragedy. The question of “How many more?” is a question that we ask ourselves all the time. Now the desire “to do something” is very understandable, but let’s try to do something that would actually matter. Here is something that people might want to consider. Virginia Beach bans...

Former President Barack Obama slammed US gun laws on Thursday while speaking an event in Brazil by falsely telling his audience that 'anybody can buy a machine gun.' The gun laws "don't make much sense," Obama said before claiming anybody "can buy machine guns" while speaking at VTEX Day.But contrary to what the former president told his audience in Brazil, regulations make it difficult for anyone to own a machine gun.According to The Washington Free Beacon, its writer Stephen Gutowski highlighted the regulations after the 2017 Las Vegas shooting.

It’s as if nothing happened. Special counsel Robert Mueller and the Justice Department found no wrongdoing by President Trump, so House Democrats stepped up their calls for impeachment. Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler issued a subpoena for millions of pages of evidence gathered by Mr. Mueller, including grand-jury material, which is secret under the law. When the department didn’t comply, Democrats said there was a “constitutional crisis,” and the committee voted to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt. Yet if there is a constitutional crisis, its source is the Democrats. They are abusing the powers of investigation and impeachment...

The D.C. statehood effort got new life Thursday, when longtime skeptic House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer threw his support behind the idea and fellow Democrats pledged hearings to advance the issue. Rep. Elijah E. Cummings of Maryland, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Committee, said he has scheduled a hearing for July 24, marking the first time in more than a quarter century that the topic has gotten that far. “This is a monumental step forward for equality and self-government for D.C.,” said D.C. Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton, the city’s nonvoting representative in Congress. Mrs. Norton, Mayor Muriel...

Is impeachment causing the Dem party to crack up along racial lines? On Joy Reid's MSNBC show this morning, regular guest Elie Mystal blamed "white people in the middle" for the failure of the Dem congressional leadership to initiate impeachment proceedings against President Trump. Mystal disparagingly stereotyped the white Dem voters he had in mind as "three truck drivers . . . in a diner." In contrast, claimed Mystal, "the black and brown community is overwhelmingly in favor of impeachment." Concluded Mystal: "Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats at some point have to acknowledge their base." Can you imagine if someone...

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told California Democrats that Congress would continue aggressive investigations into President Trump and the Trump administration, stopping short of calling for the beginning of an impeachment inquiry. Addressing the California Democratic Party's annual convention in her home district, Pelosi cited former special counsel Robert Mueller's report into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. "In his report, special counsel Mueller warned us in the starkest terms that there was an attack on our election and an attack on our democracy," Pelosi said. "Why won't the president defend us from this attack?" "What is the president covering...

Treason is in season if you’re a former Obama administration official, as they continue to test the boundaries of the Trump administration — and U.S. law — by continuing to remain in contact with arch-nemesis Iran.As our readers are aware, former Secretary of State John Kerry was busted — again — earlier this month for continuing his contacts with the terrorist-sponsoring Iranian regime in a bid, ostensibly, to ‘save’ the nuclear deal he and Obama negotiated. At the time, POTUS Donald Trump and some Republican lawmakers called on Kerry to be investigated (and charged) under the 18th-century Logan Act:Last year Kerry, Obama’s second...
