More than 230 undocumented immigrants detained at the southern border have been transferred to New York area jails, including the Hudson County Correctional Facility in Kearny. Hudson County Freeholder Bill O’Dea said approximately 100 of those detainees are now at the county jail in Kearny, which houses undocumented immigrants under a controversial agreement with Immigration and Customs Enforcement. “In response to a surge in border arrivals that began late last year, ICE began using the New York area Correctional Facilities in May 2019 to temporarily hold persons encountered at the Southern Border who aware awaiting adjudication of their cases before...

The people who talk about obstruction of justice in Robert Mueller's investigation appear unaware that in the United States the prosecution can be guilty of obstruction of justice. Most people don't understand that the Bill of Rights provisions regulating law enforcement were added to the Constitution to prevent corrupt law enforcement agencies from misusing the criminal justice system to harass political activists. One of the worst abuses in British legal history was the "Star Chamber" proceeding which allowed the use of secret unsubstantiated allegations against the accused, especially political activists. The involvement of British intelligence agent Christopher Steele in the...

Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton called for an investigation into Robert Mueller for suggesting “wrongdoing by an innocent person without any foundation.” Fitton’s Wednesday night appearance on Fox Business’ “Lou Dobbs Tonight” comes after the former special counsel delivered prepared remarks regarding his investigation. “Well, I don’t know what reputation he had that deserved any credence until now, but it’s no longer there,” Fitton told Dobbs. “He’s really destroyed whatever reputation he’s had with this political attack on the president, turning the rule of law on its head, suggesting the president is guilty and, because he can’t prove otherwise, we...

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) A “special counsel” fake investigation that played out exactly by the book. – Looking back on the two years during which our nation was held hostage to the evil Robert Mueller (“evil” is the only word I can think of to accurately describe him after yesterday) Witch Hunt, the most striking aspect of it all is how few actual surprises the process produced when you review how it all played out. Millions of Americans – myself included – were angry yesterday when Mueller outrageously turned the entire notion of American justice on...

This proud 'pole-dancing rat' certainly wasn't shy as it slid its way down Subway handrails that many New Yorkers touch every day. The shocking sight of the rodent climbing the metal bars has attracted over 10,000 views so far on social media page Subway Creatures. The footage by Sebastian, known on Instagram as @seebaass_, was shot on a New York Subway F Train.

After the first-ever image of a black hole confirmed theories posited by Einstein, it's the late scientist Stephen Hawking's turn to have parts of his life's work vindicated. In a paper published in Nature, scientists say that have verified the scientist's namesake theory, Hawking Radiation, which hypothesized that black holes emit radiation from their surfaces due to a mix of different factors regarding quantum physics and gravity. To verify the theory, scientists at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology turned to what sounds like mad science: creating their own black hole.

Disney and Marvel may stop filming in Georgia if the state enacts its new restrictive abortion law. Walt Disney Co Chief Executive Bob Iger said on Wednesday that it would be 'very difficult' for the media company to keep filming in Georgia if the law takes effect because many people will not want to work in the state. Disney's Marvel Studios has filmed blockbuster movies in Georgia, including Black Panther and Avengers: Endgame. It would be a blow to the state's efforts to create production jobs if the entertainment giant stopped filming there.

Despite America breaking records in oil production, consumers paid more for gasoline this spring, serving as a reminder that supply isn’t the only factor affecting oil prices. Oil production by OPEC members recently fell to a four-year low. At nearly the same time, oil sanctions were imposed against Venezuela and sanctions against Iranian oil exports were tightened, sending shockwaves rippling through the world market. The lesson for policymakers to take from recent gas pump price shocks is that, unless the nation is fully able to draw upon all of its energy resources when needed, American consumers will remain at the mercy...

One way of envisioning the Democratic obsessions with Donald Trump is as an addiction. We have seen the initial impeachment efforts; the attempt to get him under the emoluments clause, the Logan Act and the 25th Amendment; the Russian collusion hoax; the Mueller investigation; the demand for his tax returns; and the psychodramas involving Michael Avenatti, Michael Cohen and Stormy Daniels. Relentless progressives have needed a new Get Trump fix about every two months. More practically, their fixation also substitutes for a collective poverty of ideas. The Democratic Party has no plan to secure the borders other than to...

President Donald Trump and his family are heading to the U.K. next week for his first state visit after multiple delays, again putting a spotlight on the matter of royal protocol — what is and is not acceptable when he meets Queen Elizabeth. Last summer, during a working visit to the U.K., Trump made headlines when he shook hands with the 92-year-old monarch instead of bowing. While the move was criticized by some online, it was not against the rules (such as they are).

As impeachment noise reaches ever-louder crescendos among Democrats, with the real danger they will overplay their hand and end up investigating and subpoenaing themselves into defeat in 2020, there now emerges another threat: a little-noticed Democrat running for President who is reminding his party of the saner policies some of their most prominent leaders embraced not that long ago. Democratic luminaries like Bobby Kennedy, Daniel Patrick Moynihan, John F. Kennedy, and Henry “Scoop” Jackson – all of whom in their time represented dark blue states. Ami Horowitz, a noted documentary filmmaker, announced his candidacy this month and expressed sentiments with...

Describing the Democratic Party as one built on "identity politics" used to be a pejorative. But Georgia's failed 2018 Democratic gubernatorial candidate, Stacey Abrams, recently defended this description of her party. "I would argue that identity politics is exactly who we are," said Abrams, "and it's exactly how we won. ... When we refuse to engage in the conversation of identity politics, when we refuse to acknowledge that we see you and we understand you and we understand the barriers that you face, then what we are met with is a lack of trust." Fellow Democrat and presidential candidate Pete...

You can add another voice from the media and education community to the growing list of military and government figures who are now talking about the potential realities of UFOs, no matter where they’re actually coming from. Daniel Drezner, a writer for the Washington Post, as well as a professor at Tufts University, tosses another log on the fire this week with a provocative proclamation. According to Drezner, we’ve hit the point where everyone needs to get used to the idea that we have things flitting around in our airspace that we can’t yet explain. He then dangles the bait...

Sen. Mitt Romney expects "total honesty" from President Donald Trump and his administration. "It's not a crime to lie. It's just wrong. I think it's morally wrong. I reject people who lie. I reject lies," he said. The Utah Republican's comments came in response to questions Wednesday about special counsel Robert Mueller's report on Russian interference in the 2016 election and whether Trump should be impeached at a town hall meeting at the Heber City Police Department. Romney earlier said that some of Mueller's findings, particularly dishonesty in the administration, "sickened" him.

Senate Republicans are facing a potential intraparty brawl as they fight to hold onto the chamber next year. Republicans are defending 22 seats in 2020, mostly in deep-red states, limiting Democrats’ pickup opportunities and increasing the odds of the GOP keeping the Senate. But nasty primary fights brewing in a handful of key states could threaten to throw a curveball into the Republican strategy, potentially setting the party up for a repeat of previous cycles when conservatives caused headaches by defeating more-mainstream GOP candidates, only to lose to Democrats in November. Three races have jumped into the spotlight as looming...

In February 2018, the House Intelligence Committee released the so-called Nunes memo. In four pages, the document, from the committee's then-chairman Rep. Devin Nunes, revealed much of what the public knows today about the FBI's reliance on the Steele dossier in pursuing since-discredited allegations that the Trump campaign and Russia conspired to fix the 2016 election. Specifically, it revealed that the FBI included unverified material from the dossier in applications to a secret spy court to win a warrant to wiretap Trump foreign policy volunteer adviser Carter Page. All that was classified. To release it, the committee appealed to President...
