Ever heard of the phrase “gun don’t kill people, people kill people?” Apparently, the new version of The Twilight Zone doesn’t believe the maxim is true. The CBS All-Access reboot introduces the crazy idea that guns can shoot themselves, and that we somehow value them more than people. The May 23 episode “The Blue Scorpion” follows anthropology professor Jeff Storck (Chris O’Dowd) discovering his father has seemingly committed suicide by shooting himself. This came as a shock since Jeff described his father as a hippie who hated guns and wouldn’t own one. Soon enough, though, Jeff gains possession of the...

This week Rush Limbaugh repeated a quote from James Comey in a  New York Magazine interview: “I’d moved from Communist to whatever I am now. I’m not even sure how to characterize myself politically. Maybe at some point, I’ll have to figure it out.†It’s hard to pin too much on that quote. Perhaps Comey was joking by calling his vote for Jimmy Carter a vote for a Communist, in mockery of his supposedly fellow Republicans. Joking about support for Communism is not all that funny in the Obama administration. Obama’s CIA Director John Brennan actually did vote for a...

President Trump on Thursday night tweeted out a video showing Nancy Pelosi stumbling over her words. The video, apparently from a segment on Fox Business’ “Lou Dobbs Tonight,” features portions of a 20-minute news conference Pelosi held Thursday in a montage that lasts about 30 seconds. It shows her tripping over her words. At one point in the video, a moment is repeated several times. Drew Hammill, Pelosi’s deputy chief of staff, on Twitter called the video that Trump tweeted Thursday night “doctored” and referred to the Post article. Pelosi’s daughter Christine tweeted: “Fake video altered for speed.” It turns...

Full title: Hans von Spakovsky: Lock them up? Dems seeking to jail top Trump administration officials face big obstaclesSome congressional Democrats want nothing more than to hand Attorney General William Barr and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin (among others) a “GO DIRECTLY TO JAIL” card like the ones you find in the game of Monopoly. But calls to lock them up are unjustified and uncalled for. What would jailing two Cabinet members be based on? The attorney general’s handling of the report by Special Counsel Robert Mueller has been in accord with federal law, the federal rules of criminal procedure and...

Two mountaineers have died on Mount Everest after crowds of people became stuck in a queue leading to the summit of the world's highest mountain. She had become stuck in the "traffic jam" above camp four, which, at 8,000 meters (26,247 feet), is the final camp before the summit. American mountaineer Donald Lynn Cash, 55, also died Wednesday after fainting from high altitude sickness while descending from the summit, according to the Nepalese expedition...

Ahead of the EU elections, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker has blasted “stupid nationalists,” who dare to “love their own counties” and dislike migrants. Juncker took to CNN on Wednesday to share his belief the nationalist politicians pose a distinct threat to European unity with their stance on migration. “These populist, nationalists, stupid nationalists, they are in love with their own countries,” he said, urging the EU to show “solidarity” with migrants instead. They don’t like those coming from far away, I like those coming from far away… we have to act in solidarity with those who are in a...

The Trump administration has formally proposed to revise Obama-era civil rights for transgender people in the nation’s health care system, eliminating “gender identity” as a factor in health care and leaning government policy toward recognizing only characteristics of sex at birth. The Department of Health and Human Services published its proposed regulation Friday, which eliminates a 2016 regulation inserted by the Obama administration that redefined discrimination “on the basis of sex” to include gender identity.

As Donald Trump Jr. points out: 'I Don't Think the Party of Infanticide Is Exactly Praying for Anyone.' At the rate that contrived gut-deep hatred of President Donald Trump is going, someday soon when looking up the word ‘deranged’, in the dictionary there’ll be a picture of Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi beside it. The Democrats, in a frenzied rage since election night 2016 and egged on daily by their running dog media, are getting out-of-control crazier by day. They invested 40 million tax dollars and a lot of bunk in the Robert Mueller III Special Counsel, most of it...

As a republic, the biggest threat the United States faces is massive voter fraud and manipulation in the 2020 general elections. Contrary to what the neo-Nazi, Socialist Left want us to believe, they are a small minority compared to the millions of voters who believe in the US as a sovereign, constitutional nation. Thus, in a fair election, President Trump and those who share his vision of America would literally blow out the upcoming elections with a landslide win. Unfortunately, however, this did not happen in either the general elections in 2016 or the midterms in 2018. This did not...

TEARFUL Theresa May today finally admitted her time was up and quit as Prime Minister insisting: "I've done my best". The PM was forced to resign after she failed to deliver Brexit and lost the support of her own MPs - but will continue in office as a lame duck until July. Shortly after meeting Tory "executioner" Sir Graham Brady, she addressed the nation in the spring sunshine of Downing Street - watched by adoring husband Philip - and admitted her time is up. Pentagon Denies Media Reports Detailing Mideast Troop Increase By Carla Babb May 23, 2019 Acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan has denied reports that between 5,000 and 10,000 U.S. troops could be sent to the Middle East to defend against a potential threat by Iran. "There is no 10,000. There's no 5,000. That's not accurate," he told reporters, referring to a Reuters report that the Pentagon was considering sending 5,000 defensive troops to the region, and an AP report that up to 10,000 could be deployed. VOA had reported that Shanahan and Gen. Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of...

Earlier this month, we talked about the case of transgender powerlifter Mary Gregory. After clearing the field at a championship event and setting four world records in the process, the governing commission reviewed the results and stripped Gregory of his world records, citing the fact that he is biologically male. (Gregory has been taking hormone therapy to reduce his testosterone levels for roughly a year but has not had surgery yet. I reserve the right to stick with the correct pronoun for his gender until the surgery is complete.) The revocation of the titles caused quite the media stir,...

Pakistan Tests Nuclear-Capable Ballistic Missile By Ayaz Gul May 23, 2019 Pakistan says it has successfully conducted a "training launch" of a ballistic missile capable of carrying both nuclear and conventional warheads up to 1,500 kilometers. The move came amid Pakistan's heightened military tensions with neighboring rival India, and it is seen by observers as part of the efforts Islamabad is making to keep pace with New Delhi's massive investments in military hardware and advancements. After the indigenously produced Shaheen-II medium range rocket was fired into the Arabian Sea on Thursday, military spokesman Major-General Asif Ghafoor said that it is...

Transparency is un-American? Donald Trump’s executive order granting William Barr the authority to declassify evidence and documents related to the origins of Operation Crossfire Hurricane might present opportunities for reasonable criticism. A lack of patriotism would not be among those issues, and yet that’s where House Intelligence chair Adam Schiff immediately went: President Trump has granted Attorney General William P. Barr “full and complete authority” to declassify government secrets, issuing a memorandum late Thursday that orders U.S. intelligence agencies to cooperate promptly with Barr’s audit of the investigation into Russia’s election interference in 2016.The president’s move gives Barr broad...
