I’m not really sure what will happen tonight. I truly hope that Donald Trump will keep his word and follow through on his decision to not attend the debate and hold a separate forum in Des Moines, but who knows. For now, C-Span says they will cover it. Sometimes it’s best to walk away from a bad deal and not look back. It’s another opportunity for Trump to “teach us.†I guess we’ll see. Hopefully we won’t get whipsawed all day long and that the Des Moines rally is on and FR people here will participate. It seems pretty clear...

Hillary Clinton's daughter Chelsea thinks that Jeb Bush is the best Republican candidate, confirming Americans' worst fears about the friendly relationships between the political establishment on both sides of the partisan aisle. Chelsea Clinton spent Wednesday at a fundraiser at a New York city franchise of Soul Cycle, which is an indoor cycling exercise-gym chain frequented by upper-crust urbanites. While there, she commented on the Republican race. Donald Trump isn’t sucking up to Iowa, and it’s working. The billionaire has eschewed the traditional, door-to-door retail politics that have always been considered mandatory in the early states. Instead, Trump has preferred to hold massive rallies in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada, where he brags about his poll numbers and rails against President Obama, Hillary Clinton, his GOP opponents, and, of course, the media. From there, Trump jets off to another early primary state event and kicks off the next show. And now, despite that unusual approach, political consultants are beginning to think he could win this...

The famous Kalashnikov AK-47 assault rifles have been made in frigid Moscow since their inception 69 years ago. Soon, they'll be made in sunny Florida, too. Kalashnikov USA has been approved by the city of Pompano Beach to assemble guns there. Kalashnikov USA of Tullytown, Pa., was importing rifles made by Kalashnikov Concern, the original AK-47 manufacturer in Moscow, until 2014 when President Obama imposed sanctions against Russia following its annexation of Crimea. At that point, Kalashnikov USA severed all ties with the Russian company. The company started making the guns in Pennsylvania last year, but is shifting manufacturing to...
