eb Bush has embraced with gusto his role as the anti-Trump. The once-presumed Republican frontrunner, now often an afterthought, has more aggressively gone after The Donald in New Hampshire than any other candidate. Running on television here is a minute-long ad in which Bush explains that Trump is "a jerk" because he mocks people with disabilities. His stump speech is basically a rebuttal of Trumpism. He opened his 21st visit to the Granite State by decrying "grandiose talk" and then trying to channel some of what Trump has tapped into. Speaking about his two terms as governor of Florida, he...

Phyllis Schlafly founded the Eagle Forum in 1972 to enable conservative and pro-family men and women to participate in the process of self-government and public policy making. The goal: that America will continue to be a land of individual liberty, respect for family integrity, public and private virtue and private enterprise. The past 40-plus years have arguably been a testament to the Eagle Forum's success. Recently, Schlafly—while not using the words "I endorse"—effectively endorsed Donald Trump for president just before Christmas. She has doubled down on her sentiments more recently, making the argument to Breitbart News the businessman is the...

As the Obamas begin their final year in the White House, a new movie debuting at the Sundance Film Festival aims to tell the First Family’s origin story, with a focus on their first date on the south side of Chicago. Richard Tanne, an actor and first-time feature director, conceived of the idea for Southside With You back during Barack Obama’s first campaign for president, when the then-senator from Illinois didn’t look much older than the 25-year-old who convinced Michelle Robinson to join him for a long afternoon in the summer of 1989 (watch an exclusive clip above). The years...

Is my Mom going to endorse Donald Trump for President of the United States? That's the rumor, and I've been too busy with diapers to delve too much into politics these days. But the rumors were enough to cause staffers from Ted Cruz's office to slam my mom.

Contra Rupert Murdoch's assertion about Trump having crossover appeal, Trump is extraordinarily unpopular with independent voters and Democrats. Gallup polling conducted over the past six weeks found Trump with a -27-percentage-point net favorability rating among independent voters, and a -70-point net rating among Democrats; both marks are easily the worst in the GOP field. (Trump also has less-than-spectacular favorable ratings among his fellow Republicans.)

Donald Trump is running as Christianity’s savior. And it might work. By Greg Sargent January 19 at 9:14 AM But even if Trump is not a very good Christian in the eyes of some evangelical leaders, the Times interviews with evangelical voters suggest that Trump’s personal morality may not matter much to them. Instead, Trump’s success among evangelical voters may be rooted in the fact that, more than any other GOP candidate, Trump is able to speak to their sense of being under siege. Trump somehow conveys that he understands on a gut level that both Christianity and the country...

Flight TWY123 left Anchorage at about noon Alaska time and landed in Des Moines at around 8 p.m. Central. It appears to have been spotted by posters at the conservative site Free Republic before anyone else. And, for that audience, it suggested one thing: Sarah Palin was on her way to 2016.

The Supreme Court refused Tuesday to take up an appeal that says Congress flouted the Constitution by kick-starting Obamacare in the wrong chamber. Justices have already weighed in on the Affordable Care Act's mandates, government subsidies and birth control rules, but declined to wade into a bid by a conservative group to scrap the entire law based on the origination clause drafted by the Founding Fathers. The Pacific Legal Foundation said the Affordable Care Act of 2010 raises hundreds of billions in taxes, making it a revenue bill subject to the founders' vision for which chamber should act first. Since...

What is needed is someone who will stop at nothing to achieve the destruction of the Uni-party. I could not care less if it were Donald Trump, Joseph Stalin,or Hitler. Anyone of them would be better for this country than the alternative. This is not the election...

Warning women against "adding fuel to the fire", the Imam of a Salafist Cologne mosque has said the victims of the New Year's Eve attacks in that city were themselves responsible for their sex assault, by dressing inappropriately and wearing perfume. Sandwiched between eyewitness-footage of migrant rampages in Cologne, women being sexually assaulted by apparently Arab gangs, and a segment on a surge of interest in self defence...

s A Reuters’ survey with a very low 2% m. o. e. says Donald Trump is schlonging Ted Cruz among new, very motivated voters. It is undeniable that Donald Trump is running a very unconventional campaign. He has turned the old rules on their ear and found continuing success along the way. Nevertheless, one of the rules of campaigning that Trump is following, without much fanfare, is the one that says the surest way to win is to expand the existing voter universe and swamp it with your new voters; thereby guaranteeing they will vote for you. The newly released,...
