  • Wisconsin Set to Destroy Doctor-Patient Relationships

In AB366, the legislature disenfranchises the independent physician who operates a pain management practice and the lower income or disabled patients who may need to pay for physician services in cash through necessity. This bill, if passed, sets a precedence in Wisconsin that the government can regulate the means for individuals to pay for goods and services in private transactions. Additionally, through the certification provision, it burdens these smaller doctor’s practices with creating records that document traceable transaction records to show how patients pay for their care.
  • Cruz and Christie Gain in Popularity As Trump, Carson and Bush Stumble (POLL)

Ted Cruz has reached top-rank popularity among Republicans and Chris Christie’s favorability rating is most improved in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll, while Donald Trump, Ben Carson and Jeb Bush all have stumbled in the battle for GOP hearts and minds. On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton continues to far surpass Bernie Sanders in favorability among party regulars, and she’s vastly more popular within the Democratic Party than are any of the Republican candidates within the GOP base. Still, gender and racial gaps mark Clinton’s standings, and Sanders pushes back among young adults, independents and the better-off. Movement is...

PARIS -- Western Europe's mindless and zombie-like prioritizing of humanitarianism over self-preservation is beginning to have alarming consequences. More than 500 women filed police complaints after a New Year's Eve celebration in Cologne, Germany, with about 40 percent of the women alleging sexual assault. Of the 32 suspects identified by police, 22 are asylum seekers, mostly North African or Arabic, according to the German Interior Ministry. More than a million asylum seekers, primarily from the Middle East and North Africa, arrived in Germany last year. For a country small enough that you can drive across it in about six hours,...

As many observed, Pope Francis’ January intention video does not include a crucifix, as the most sacred symbol of Christianity. But it is much worse, than a missing crucifix. The Pope’s very own crucifix is obscured and hidden. We see the chain around his neck, but the crucifix is invisible in the video. The Pope’s cross, which he always wears is concealed and obscured during the 1 1/2 minute “we are all one faith” video. The strategic placement of the Pope’s handheld script, in front of his crucifix hanging from his neck. Significantly, his script is held to block the...

HOUSTON, Texas – Presidential candidate Ted Cruz released the following statement in response to President Obama’s State of the Union address:“The President continues to be in denial of reality. He would have us believe that global warming is our greatest threat, our military is as strong as it can be, the economy is working for American families, and that the key to alleviating poverty is more government dependence.“The reality is very different. We have had at least eight ISIS inspired attacks on innocent Americans, including law enforcement, yet he refuses to acknowledge the root of the cause of these attacks,...
  • Colleges Now Have ‘Fat Studies’ Courses and Groups Fighting ‘Weightism’ and ‘Fatphobia’

College campuses nationwide are treating fat people as a new protected class, launching “fat studies” courses that teach that being fat isn’t unhealthy and awareness groups that fight so-called “fatphobia” and “weightism.” Yes — “fatphobia” and “weightism” are apparently things now. And it’s apparently a big (sorry) deal.
  • Cruz: You Realize Democrats Are 'Very Eager' to Run Against Trump, Right?

Of course they are. I've spoken to some of them. They're mostly keeping their powder dry for the moment, but they're so ecstatic over the Trump phenomenon that they're practically prepared to don "Make America Great Again!" hats throughout primary season.  For what it's worth, they also say they see Cruz as another easy demonization mark ("extreme" conservative, "Senator Shutdown," etc.), but they seem less smug about that assessment as Hillary stumbles and polls like this become the norm.  Why the Trump "enthusiasm" among professional Democrats? Because they know that a match-up against Trump would virtually guarantee that their team retains the White House,...

Skip to 4:40. Kelly asks Cruz about the push polls. She asks if his campaign had anything to do with them. He swivels, and then she reads from the Washington Examiner article about one of the questions in the push poll asking voters what they thought about Trump's liberal new york city values ... she then asks Cruz if that is why he made the statements throughout the day about Trump's values (notably on Howie Carr). Cruz keeps on the swivel and finally Kelly gives up. She then asks him, "What are New York Values?" Cruz replies: "The rest of...

  • Judge: Merkel Committed Historic Breach Of Law In Opening Borders

One of Germany's most senior constitutional judges has said Angela Merkel's government is violating the country's constitution by failing to protect its borders. In a report commissioned by Mrs Merkel's partners, the Christian Social Union (CSU), Udo di Fabio says the federal government is constitutionally obliged to take control of border security when European institutions are impaired.Mr. di Fabio, himself from an immigrant family, adds that the overwhelming migrant influx, and the subsequent suspension of the Dublin Convention, means that the German government is therefore obliged to step in, but has so far failed to do so adequately. The Sept. 9 pictures were shot outside the Orlando, Fla., offices of Empower Software Solutions, where her duties are listed as answering phones and office support and management. MADISON, Wis. – Prosecutors of the political John Doe investigation into dozens of conservative groups and Gov. Scott Walker’s campaign will not be able to hold on to the mountains of documents they illegally seized, according to an order issued Tuesday by the Wisconsin Supreme Court. The court filing also includes a vitriolic dissenting opinion from Justice Shirley Abrahamson that may set a new standard of bitterness for the liberal former chief justice.Four conservatives on the seven-member court denied a motion for limited intervention in the Supreme Court cases related to Wisconsin’s infamous John Doe probe.Justices Anne Walsh Bradley and...

State of the Union Addresses belong solely to Presidents of the United States. In Article II, Section 3 the Constitution reads: He shall from time to time give to the Congress information of the state of the union, and recommend to their consideration such measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient There is no requirement that it be an annual report. Nor, is there a requirement that it be delivered in the form of a speech in the Chamber of the U.S. House. Jimmy Carter delivered all four of his State of the Union addresses in written form. THE AMERICAN SPECTATOR ^ | 13 Jan 16 | R. Emmett Tyrrell, Jr.
This week, three weeks before the Iowa caucuses, Hillary Clinton spent valuable time during an appearance on Face the Nation swatting down stories that surfaced Friday. Early on Friday morning when most Americans are asleep, save second story men, the State Department released thousands of Hillary’s e-mails. In one she seemed to be asking her aide, Jake Sullivan, to send her classified information across a “non-secure” line. That is to say, across her personal server. She was impatient to read the e-mail’s contents and could not wait for it to be sent on a secure line. That strikes a lot...
  • Yes, Ted Cruz Is A Natural Born Citizen, Even In the Originalist Meaning

IS TED CRUZ A "NATURAL BORN" U.S. CITIZEN?: According to Widener law school's Mary Brigid McManamon, who has an oped in the Washington Post today, the answer is "no." Her reasoning is a bit shaky: On this subject, the common law is clear and unambiguous. The 18th-century English jurist William Blackstone, the preeminent authority on it, declared natural-born citizens are "such as are born within the dominions of the crown of England," while aliens are "such as are born out of it." The key to this division is the assumption of allegiance to one’s country of birth. The Americans who...

Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush’s campaign on Wednesday will begin airing a new television ad based on a personal story Bush told at a town hall meeting in Dover last week. It was the story of the problems faced by his daughter, Noelle, who has suffered from drug addiction. The 60-second ad, provided exclusively to WMUR.com, is part of a $4.6 million buy for the final weeks of the campaign, announced in September.

Guess who showed up on the campaign trail ready to do battle this week? Spoiler alert… it was Hillary Clinton’s daughter Chelsea. This wasn’t some sort of charity event for the Clinton Foundation or a family reunion, but three full fledged campaign events in the state of New Hampshire where her mother is currently struggling in the polls. Donald Trump struck back at South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, after she criticized the Republican presidential front-runner in her State of the Union rebuttal, and added that she's not "off to a good start" if she wants to be considered for his running mate. "She's very weak on illegal immigration," the billionaire businessman said on Fox News' "Fox & Friends" on Wednesday. "I feel very strongly about immigration. She doesn't." In her response Tuesday, Haley called for a stop to "stopping illegal immigration," but also "welcoming properly vetted legal immigrants, regardless of their race or religion." "No one who is...

Even as Donald Trump holds commanding leads in presidential polling, I've maintained that an establishment candidate still has the inside track to winning the nomination. As my Cook Political Report colleague David Wasserman outlined, the rules of the game are designed to favor the success of more-moderate candidates. If Trump or Ted Cruz wins the early-state contests, the proportional rules of allocating delegates will prevent either from running up the score. And the winner-take all rules for many of the more moderate "blue" states on March 15 and beyond should favor a more pragmatic Republican down the stretch--at least on...

Jeb Bush dug a bit deeper into Marco Rubio on Wednesday, taking a veiled shot at his Republican opponent's record and another dig at his height, a day after a super PAC supporting him released an ad alleging that the Florida senator has flip-flopped while alluding to the high-heeled boots he wore in New Hampshire earlier this month. -snip- "Yeah, but Jeb, do you own any platform boots that make you taller?" co-host Joe Scarborough asked, to which Bush responded, "I got my cowboy boots on, big Joe." (Bush is 6'3'' to Rubio's 5'10"). "Do they make you three inches...
