BELGRADE -- The commander of the WW2-era Chetnik movement Dragoljub Draza Mihailovic has been rehabilitated by the decision of the Higher Court in Belgrade. The process was seen by many as "historic." This ruling reverses the judgment passed in 1946, sentencing Mihailovic to death for collaboration with the occupying Nazi forces and stripping him of all his rights as a citizen. Mihailovic was a high ranking officer in the pre-war Yugoslav Kingdom Army, and after 1941, he headed the Yugoslav Army in the Homeland (Chetniks). During the Second World War and the occupation, a civil war was waged by Chetnik (royalist)...

After being questioned by the Washington Free Beacon about large donations he made to the Clinton Foundation, George Stephanopoulos of ABC News disclosed to Politico that he had funneled $50,000 to the tax-exempt organization in 2013 and 2014. Stephanopoulos’s secret donations to the Clintons’ non-profit came while he was professionally covering the family for ABC News. And then, after he was busted by the Free Beacon, he decided to leak the news of his secret Clinton cash contributions to Politico in order to deny Free Beacon its scoop. Classy, huh? It gets even worse, though. It wasn’t just that...

The Senate took an initial step toward picking up President Obama’s trade agenda on Thursday by approving a controversial customs bill that includes language cracking down on currency manipulation by trading partners. The legislation was easily approved in a 78-20 vote. Under rules adopted for the vote, 60 votes were needed for the measure to pass. GOP presidential hopefuls Sens. Ted Cruz (Texas) and Marco Rubio (Fla.) voted no, while Sens. Rand Paul (Ky.), another 2016 GOP candidate, voted yes. So did Sen. Lindsey Graham (S.C.), who is considering a 2016 run. Democrats had demanded a vote on the bill...

Sometimes politicians do things so inexplicable that it makes you wonder, well, just what the heck are they thinking? Witness Jeb Bush's answers over the course of this week when asked whether, knowing what we know now, he would have authorized the war in Iraq begun by his brother, former president George W. Bush. On Monday, Jeb seemed to mishear Fox News Channel's Megyn Kelly -- answering the Iraq question without understanding the all important "if you knew then what we know" caveat. Okay, fine. Seemingly embarking on a bit of necessary cleanup duty Tuesday, Jeb called into Sean Hannity's...

On Wednesday night, it was announced that Beckham beat out Rob Gronkowski and will be featured on Madden 16's cover. Without this catch, there's probably no way he tops Gronk in any kind of vote. SNIP So to sum up, congratulations are in order for Beckham, and if you believe in the Madden curse, be sure to congratulate Gronk for avoiding a catastrophe. Regardless of how you feel, it was somewhat disappointing to see Beckham react to the news without celebrating like he did when LeBron hit a game-winner.

Hillary Clinton made another display of solidarity this week with the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community by penning a beautiful letter to the lesbian couple featured in her campaign announcement video. Kassie Thornton and Christy Spitzer opened their mailbox this week to discover the letter from Clinton, which thanked the pair for their involvement in the video and for their involvement with the lives and struggles of queer youth.

Gun control proponents Gabby Giffords and Mark Kelly will speak on Class Day at Harvard Law School on May 27, despite their string of epic defeats. Giffords–a former congresswoman from Arizona’s 2nd District–was shot on January 8, 2011, after Jared Loughner passed a background check to acquire his handgun. She and Kelly have since founded the gun control PAC “Americans for Responsible Solutions” to push Congress to expand background checks so that every gun purchaser in the country is forced to pass the same background Loughner passed.

WINDSOR, Ont. - A new bridge between Windsor, Ont., and Detroit will be named after hockey legend Gordie Howe. Howe, who is now 87, was born in Floral, Sask., and came to be known as "Mr. Hockey." The still-to-be built Gordie Howe International Bridge is expected to be operational in 2020. The Windsor-Detroit corridor is the busiest commercial land crossing between the two countries and the border has long been a bottleneck. Prime Minister Stephen Harper made the announcement today along with Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder at the river separating Canada and the U.S. Harper praised Howe as a proud...

.... Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi predicted Wednesday that Republicans will "rue the day" if the Supreme Court buys their arguments and invalidates tax subsidies for millions of people under President Barack Obama's health care law. Republicans have said they will try to ensure people don't lose insurance if the high court rules this summer against tax subsidies for health care coverage in certain states. But they haven't said how they would do it.

CONCORD – Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz of Texas announced more than 40 conservatives endorsing his campaign in New Hampshire. Former U.S. Sen. Bob Smith, R-NH former New Hampshire House Speaker Bill O'Brien, and New Hampshire Executive Councilor David Wheeler are state co-chairmen for Cruz. "Senator Cruz has distinguished himself as the country's strongest conservative leader in a Congress where too often being an insider is more important than being faithful to the public," O'Brien said.  Smith said Cruz was "the best of the best." "There's also a personal reason for me in supporting Ted Cruz because he reminds me...

... The Facebook page of the engineer of the derailed Amtrak train was changed within hours of the crash to substitute his profile picture with a black rectangle. Friends of Brandon Bostian seemed to know about his role in it before his name publicly surfaced and rallied to his side. One Facebook friend whose profile identifies him as an Amtrak engineer in California posted "it could have been any one of us and you are not alone."

WASHINGTON — Gov. Charlie Baker is getting a pittance in disaster aid from the Obama White House compared to the tens of millions of dollars former Gov. Deval Patrick scored for lesser storms than the worst winter in memory inflicted on the Bay State, a Herald review found. The Federal Emergency Management Agency rejected Baker’s request yesterday to extend the time available to Bay State communities to apply for reimbursement for the late-January blizzard.Only $67.5 million in federal relief is expected to be available. That’s a drop in the bucket for the estimated $350 million or more in expenses incurred during the...

As I look forward, I have decided not to seek the Republican nomination for president. I believe I can make the strongest contribution to our future by continuing as a clear and consistent advocate for a strong Reaganite foreign policy that values peace through strength. While I am not a candidate, I am certainly not going to sit this election out, and I’m counting on your ongoing support to defend America’s national security interests. -John Bolton

Military helicopters flew over eastern Nepal and a team sent up a drone on Thursday to search for a missing U.S. Marines Huey chopper, as the death toll rose from the Himalayan country's second big earthquake in less than three weeks. snip In Koshikhet village, a two-man U.S. civilian team was using a drone to search for the missing Marine Corps UH-1Y, or Huey as the model is better known, which was carrying six Marines and two Nepali soldiers. "We are using infrared vision to look for hotspots and any signs of life," said drone operator Shepherd Eaton, from GlobalMedic,...

Formaldehyde is a simple and ubiquitous molecule, used in countless products and industrial processes. The compound is synthesized by virtually every life form, and does not accumulate in the environment. However, since formaldehyde (along with everything else) is a “chemical,” greedy fear entrepreneurs are more than willing to scare the public. In so doing, they not only extract millions of dollars in dubious donations, they routinely slander and libel dozens of perfectly fine products. Unfortunately, when industry attempts to fight back, the prevailing media narrative is nearly always rigged against it, based on the puerile notion that the fear entrepreneurs...

Fear Not by R.C. Sproul We are fragile mortals, given to fears of every sort. We have a built-in insecurity that no amount of whistling in the dark can mollify. We seek assurance concerning the things that frighten us the most. The prohibition uttered more frequently than any other by our Lord is the command, “Fear not …” He said this so often to His disciples and others He encountered that it almost came to sound like a greeting. Where most people greet others by saying “Hi” or “Hello,” the first words of Jesus very often were “Fear not.” Why?...

ABC News chief anchor George Stephanopoulos donated $50,000 to the Clinton Foundation in recent years, records show. The contribution is publicly available information, but the host had not previously disclosed it to ABC viewers, despite taking part in on-air discussions about the Clinton Foundation and its controversial relationship with foreign donors. Stephanopoulos, a former aide to President Bill Clinton, confirmed the donation to POLITICO’s Dylan Byers after the Free Beacon contacted ABC News for comment. The host, who acknowledged making two donations of $25,000 between 2013 and 2014, issued a statement of apology for failing to disclose his contributions. Stephanopoulos’s...
