On anonymous message board JustPasteIt, a group that identified itself as ISIS posted its intentions: "The attack by the Islamic State in America is only the beginning of our efforts to establish a wilayah (governing province) in the heart of our enemy. Our aim was...

The FBI knew Elton Simpson was heading to Garland, Texas. It’s not clear if local authorities were notified. FBI Director James Coomey said they may have missed others. As many of you know, I am big supporter of Sen. Ted Cruz. After reading some alarming statements here in New Hampshire regarding his political record, I decided to do some digging! Here are the fruits of my laborÂ…FICTION: “Essentially, CruzÂ’s wife Heidi once worked for Merrill Lynch and is a Goldman Sachs Regional Manager, which is a little concerning, given, you know, the massive bailouts and their involvement with the Federal Reserve in deflating our currency and killing our economy.â€FACT: Heidi Cruz is a wealth manager in the Houston office helping families and foundations and is not connected with...

Whether it’s the “throne” or “loo” or “little girls room,” the sheer number of euphemisms speaks volumes about its taboo nature. Still, taboo or not, the toilet is a player in the drought, accounting for 27 percent of indoor water use, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. The efficiency of a toilet helps dictate how much water a family uses – or doesn’t – in any given day. In Orange County, a typical home flushes about 19 gallons a day. That’s why engineers are working on all manner of toilets of the future.

Economists don’t have to be right – ever. They just have to say what fits the liberal mindset. Since the proved pedophile John Maynard Keynes told Franklin Roosevelt the way to get America out of the Depression was to make prices so high no one could afford to buy anything, liberals have used economists to justify their failed policies. The latest stupid prediction from the Democrats’ useful economists (DuE) fits perfectly into this construct. When faced with a terrible 0.2% GDP growth rate for the first quarter they told us, “U.S. economic growth braked more sharply than expected in the...

#10. I vote Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever I want. I've decided to marry my German Shepherd. # 9. I vote Democrat because I believe oil companies profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene, but the government taxing the same gallon at 15% isn't. # 8. I vote Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would. # 7. I vote Democrat because Freedom of Speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it. # 6. I...

But money is unlikely to be Bush’s problem in this campaign, and cash may be a less valuable resource than another sort of currency in which he is lacking: the support of influential Republicans, like current senators and governors, especially those who publicly endorse a candidate. Historically, these endorsements have been the best proxy for support in the “invisible primary” and a leading indicator for which candidates may emerge victorious through the rough-and-tumble nomination race.... We give each candidate “endorsement points” based on endorsements received from governors and members of Congress, which work like this: 10 points for each governor...

We're excited he'll be joining us for the SRLC, as I know primary voters will want to hear what he has to say,” SRLC Chairman Dave Weston said in a statement.“With the future of Obamacare increasingly in doubt, many have looked to Cruz as the point of the spear in Republican efforts to defeat the president's signature policy."Cruz kicked off...

The fallout from the “Deflategate” report released Wednesday remains very much up in the air (sorry), with most informed opinion pointing to at least a several-game suspension for quarterback Tom Brady. The media coverage of the report has focused largely on the highly-qualified language of its conclusion (“more probable than not” that Patriots staff cheated, and that Brady “was at least generally aware”), rather than on the far more damning details of the report. Patriots (and Brady) apologists like to point to this language as an indication that the report doesn’t meet the “beyond a reasonable doubt” standard of proof,...

Across the oil patch, banks are starting to close off their exposure to some of the riskiest oil drillers. A new monthly survey from the Federal Reserve finds that banks that have issued loans to oil drillers are projecting some of them to go bad. Over the course of 2015, the Fed says that oil loans could “deteriorate” and that banks “expected delinquency and charge-off rates.” At the same time, the overall exposure to such loans remained small. Around 80 percent of the banks surveyed by the Fed indicated that their exposure to shaky oil companies accounted for less than...

U.S. Sen. Barbara Mikulski said Thursday that she and other members of Maryland’s congressional delegation support Baltimore’s mayor in asking for a broad federal investigation of whether city police engage in discriminatory patterns or practices—a request sparked by the death of Freddie Gray, a black man who suffered a fatal spinal injury in police custody last month. The Democratic senator told U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch during a Senate subcommittee hearing that Lynch would get a letter later Thursday from the Maryland delegation supporting Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake’s request, made Wednesday. “In many cities throughout the country, including my own city...
