Coming as a complete and utter shock to absolutely no one, Hillary Clinton gave every indication that she plans to play the gender card in her campaign for the presidency. And based on her keynote at the Women in the World Summit last week, it looks like we’re in for more of the tired “War on Women” rhetoric. From the speech:“Far too many women are denied access to reproductive health care and safe childbirth, and laws don’t count for much if they’re not enforced.”Which laws does she think need enforcing? I’m guessing not the ones repeatedly violated by her friends...

he original is from the Powdered Wig Society, which says ISIS claims to have captured and beheaded a brave female Kurdish fighter named Rehana. Rehana's friends, however, say she is still alive (and has killed more than 100 ISIS savages). This is not, however, the point. During the First World War, the Triple Entente published nasty hand-drawn cartoons of "Huns" with babies on their bayonets, and one of a woman bound to the wheel of an artillery piece. During the Second World War, the War Department drew pictures of "Japs" menacing (but rarely actually torturing or killing) women, along with...

---snip-- Unbelted detainees have been paralyzed and even killed by rough rides in police vans." It even has a name: "nickel rides," referring to cheap amusement park thrills. Police brutality against prisoners being transported was addressed just six months ago in a plan released by Baltimore officials to reduce this misconduct. Department rules updated nine days before Gray's arrest clearly state that all detainees shall be strapped in by seat belts or "other authorized restraining devices" for their own safety after being arrested

An old teacher-licensing test that blacks and Hispanics had trouble passing poses a grave threat to city coffers — $300 million, according to internal budget documents obtained by The Post. Taxpayers are on the hook for cliams by thousands of minority teachers as part of a civil-rights case in which a judge ruled they were illegally fired, demoted or denied jobs for failing the racially discriminatory Liberal Arts and Sciences Test.

Via Breitbart, a reminder that Britain’s left remains a few steps ahead of America’s in legally sanctioning thoughtcrime. Here in the good ol’ free-market U.S.A., we still prefer economic sanctions for deviating from ruling-class orthodoxy. But give us time. As a much older nation, the UK’s had longer to make “progress.” There’s a parliamentary election set for 10 days for now so Miliband’s speaking here with an eye to that. I wonder which group he’s hoping to goose into turning out with these remarks — devout Muslims or Britain’s Social Justice Warriors? Frankly, apart from women’s issues and gay rights,...

It had all the trappings of a down-home country fair somewhere well below the Mason-Dixon line: Lynyrd Skynyrd medleys, mile-long lines for fried chicken, barbecue and draft beer, and a plethora of Confederate flags emblazoning everything from belt buckles to motorcycle vests to trucker caps. But Sunday's party marking the 150th anniversary of the end of the American Civil War took about 5,000 miles (8,000 kilometers) south of the South, in a rural Brazilian town colonized by families fleeing Reconstruction. Thousands turn out every year, including many who trace their ancestry back to the dozens of families who, enticed by...

This past week, we witnessed the unseemly pandering of several Republicans to the radical homosexual lobby. Each stumbled over the other to present his credentials. Florida Senator Marco Rubio—in a display of complete incoherence—stated on Face the Nation: “I don’t believe that your sexual preferences are a choice for a vast and enormous majority of the people… the bottom line is I believe that sexual preference is something people are born with.” Which one is it, are all people born that way, or just the ones who want to make that claim? Rubio’s incoherent view seems to boil down to...

After two previous extensions, the open enrollment period for Covered California ends April 30. That deadline just might prove to be the tipping point for the state’s two-year-old health insurance exchange. That’s because this is the year Covered California is supposed to become completely self-sustaining. Indeed, there’s no more money coming from Washington after the state exhausts the $1.1 billion it received from the federal government to get the Obamacare exchange up and running. And state law prohibits Sacramento from spending any money to keep the exchange afloat. That presents an existential crisis for Covered California, which is facing a...

Why aren't conservative activists and conservative Republicans making the link between the black underclass and leftist poverty programs and ideology implemented in the 1960s? Why aren't they pointing out that America's cities have been run by leftist Democrats for decades? The Mayor of Baltimore is black. The police chief is black. The city council is majority black. Over half of the police force is black. So why the outrage? Why aren't they pointing out that generations of blacks on welfare, food stamps, fatherless homes, single mothers, and broken families are a culmination of leftist poverty programs and ideological though processes...
