At his nationally televised address to Congress on Sept. 9, President Obama talked long and hard in an effort to sell his grandiose health care scheme. Meanwhile, the 800-pound gorilla in the room representing the town hall protests across the country sat quietly, waiting to be acknowledged. Unfortunately, for the majority of the country having serious concerns over health care “reform” no acknowledgment was forthcoming. The speech was delivered as though the month of August never happened. Obama’s preaching missed the context upon which millions stand. Not one respectful word was uttered to the dissenting majority. There was no apology...

Here is audio of Chicago Radio Host Don Wade telling Glenn Beck he was shocked yesterday when ABC News Anchor Charles Gibson said he had not heard about the huge unfolding ACORN Scandal. "My jaw had hit the console," he said. Wade said he believes Gibson really did not know about the story, and that his ignorance of it shows the diminishing relevance of the Network Evening News. . . . (AUDIO)

September 16, 2009 The 'Racism' Canard Victor Davis Hansen In the wake of Joe Wilson's crude outburst, many network commentators (and Jimmy Carter, of course) are weighing in on the new racism that supposedly explains 1) rising opposition to Obamacare and 2) the president's sinking polls. I think this is a disastrous political move to save a health-care plan that simply has not appealed to a majority of Americans. I suspect it will result in another 5-point poll slide. To prove their charge, those who allege racism would have to show empirically that the present angry rhetoric eclipses what was...

Hamburg police on Tuesday confirmed the home of a Bills player was vandalized, but declined to release details of their investigation after an obscenity and the score of Monday night's game -- a 25-24 loss to the Patriots -- were painted in white on the player's lawn in suburban Buffalo. McKelvin fumbled a kickoff return with under two minutes to play...

Please fully extinguish any cigars or cigarettes. If you are enjoying your morning coffee or some other beverage, please finish it off and place the container out of reach. When a President's prime-time speech is interrupted by a congressman with the accusation of "You lie!" that is something to talk about. But it is hard to decide who is stricken with a more severe American pathology: the ideologues who can't stop themselves from text-messaging or shouting insults at the President while he's talking to them or the demagogues who can't stop crying racism simply because not every citizen is enamored with America's first black President. There is grandstanding and tomfoolery on both sides: The tea party crowd protests with signs that depict President Obama as Hitler, and the left...

The San Diego County Sheriff's Department Tuesday responded to 10News' report about a new sonic weapon known as a Long Range Acoustic Device, or LRAD. The technology has been used in Iraq to control insurgents, and now it is in the sheriff's department's possession. On Monday, members of the American Civil Liberties Union spoke with 10News, and they expressed outrage that local law enforcement had the device and that they had brought it to recent town hall meetings in case things got out of hand. Kevin Keenan, of the ACLU, said, "We think that local law enforcement shouldn't be using military...

Employees at no fewer than four ACORN offices have been caught on videotape advising a man and a woman on how to skirt federal law to obtain housing and operate a brothel — but you'd hardly know it if all you watch and read are the mainstream media, conservative media critics say. "A major national scandal and none of the broadcast networks is covering it," said Dan Gainor, vice president for business and culture at the Media Research Center. "This is the news media in the era of Van Jones and President Obama. The major outlets cover what they want...

"Fox ran several decent segments covering the crowds. MSNBC also featured decent segments that did not appear biased. Signs such as those displaying the President with a Hitler mustache, swastikas, and similar pictorials are prominently shown in the footage of most of the major media outlets. This portrayal is incorrect as the more offensive signs were clearly not predominant. This appears to be a way to gain “shock value” for their stories, which is completely unnecessary. Any protest that pulls mom and pop, white and black, red and yellow, republican and democrat, libertarian and Christian, young and old, should be...

TUCSON REGION Tucson Time Capsule : Tonto at old Tucson Tucson, Arizona | Published: 09.11.2009 On Sept. 11, 1974 Jay Silverheels, perhaps better known as Tonto, was in town. But he wasn't here with his trusty sidekick — that Masked Man — to fight evil in the Old West, he was filming a commercial at Old Tucson. This wasn't his first trip to Tucson; he and Clayton Moore, the Lone Ranger, had been here in the late 1950s filming "The Lone Ranger and the Lost City of Gold." Given the chance, Silverheels would gladly reprise his Tonto role; he was...

U.S. District Court Judge Clay Land today tossed out a complaint by an Army captain fighting deployment to Iraq by questioning the legitimacy of President Barack Obama. Land also put attorney Orly Taitz, who represents Capt. Connie Rhodes and is a leader in the national “birther” movement, on notice by stating that she could face sanctions if she ever files a similar “frivolous” lawsuit in his court. “(Rhodes) has presented no credible evidence and has made no reliable factual allegations to support her unsubstantiated, conclusory allegations and conjecture that President Obama is ineligible to serve as president of the United...

Just when you thought Jimmy Carter could not disgrace the office he once held any further, he goes out and tops himself. The former president avers that "an overwhelming proportion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man, he's African-American," Carter, 84, told NBC television. "I live in the South, and I have seen the South come a long way," Carter added. "But that racism inclination still exists, and I think it has bubbled up to the surface because of a belief among many white people, not just...

Two evangelists caused an uproar on campus Tuesday while preaching to a crowd of students. The crowd started small but soon turned into nearly one hundred onlookers as the evangelists preached that students needed to repent from sins or face eternal condemnation. The two evangelists, Tracy Bays and another known as "Brother Dave," told students repeatedly "you're going to hell unless you repent." Many students in the crowd were upset by the message. Some students shouted obscenities at the men. Bays said the students' response to the message was the Holy Spirit convicting their hearts. "They know it's wrong to...
