Researchers searching for a cure for obesity said on Thursday they have developed a drug that not only makes mice lose weight, but reverses diabetes and lowers their cholesterol, too. The drug, which they have dubbed fatostatin, stops the body from making fat, instead releasing the energy from food. They hope it may lead to a pill that would fight obesity, diabetes and cholesterol, all at once. Niceville, FL (AHN) - A woman was arrested Aug. 21 for attacking another woman, a smoker, with a can of air freshener. Police were called to an apartment complex in Niceville, Fla. where they found a woman spraying a 9 ounce can of "Glade Potpourri Air Freshener" around another woman's head, the Northwest Florida Daily News of Fort Walton Beach reported. During this year's legislative session, lawmakers decided to change the state's "Recommended" high-school graduation plan, under which the majority of students fall. "They said they no longer have to take health or technology applications, which is a computer class, and they reduced the amount of PE credits from one-and-a-half down to one year," said Debbie Ratcliffe, Director of Communications with the Texas Education Agency. CORVALLIS, Ore. – A team of scientists from Oregon State University has created the first global three-dimensional map of electrical conductivity in the Earth's mantle and their model suggests that that enhanced conductivity in certain areas of the mantle may signal the presence of water. What is most notable, the scientists say, is those areas of high conductivity coincide with subduction zones – where tectonic plates are being subducted beneath the Earth's crust. Craigslist now requires phone verification to submit ads to the Sporting Goods section. Maybe they're not requiring everyone to do so, but it just required me to verify by phone (recorded code) to be able to post to the sporting goods section. It includes a warning that violation of policy (guns, ammo) will result in suspension of account and blacklisting of the phone number. Ebay bought a large percentage of craigslist and is probably behind some of this. The liberals are in charge. Most Americans have little backbone to fight these people in control. The whole thing is a tragedy.
